The increasing number of collisions at intersections calls for a reliable and safe, real time collision warning system that can alert the drivers about a potential collision. Although many kinds of collision warning systems are available, the problems related to acceleration change and curved road scenarios are to be considered to improve the accuracy of the system. In the proposed paper, an efficient intersection collision avoidance system for straight and curved roads are considered. The objective of the project is to predict the location of the vehicle 10 seconds in future. The location, speed and heading information of a vehicle are available through a GPS device. Accelerometer provides the acceleration/deceleration information of the vehicles. Kalman filter with GPS and accelerometer as inputs can be used to predict the future location of the vehicle. These predicted locations are checked to be on the road or not using GIS map. If off road, the locations are projected onto the road with the help of the coordinate data. A warning message in the form of alarms or lights are generated when the distance between the predicted locations of the host vehicle and target vehicle falls below a threshold value. Position information are exchanged between the vehicles using Dedicated Short Range communication. The MATLAB simulation results validate our proposed system by reducing the prediction error with the combination of GIS and kalman filter. False alarms are reduced considerably in the proposed system for collision avoidance.

In order to improve the rehabilitative effect of users' recovery training and reduce the production cost of rehabilitation institution, this paper designs an aid walking mechanism for a lower limb rehabilitation robot which achieves the movement of transmission by use of the interrelationship between hip and knee. Using single chip micyoco (SCM) controltechnology to achieve the coordinated operation of the entire mechanical institution, this aid walking mechanism simulates the walking gait. Researching on the cooling airflow characters of tank will be helpful for optimizing the design of cooling system, and will be of great importance to improve the performance of armoured vehicles. According to the test requirements of tank under the actual working conditions, we studied and designed the proposed cooling airflow measurement system. The most important thing was that we finished the assembly of array sensors without any damage to tank. In addition, according to national standard we set the quantity and locations of the sensors, which was on the premise of avoiding the influence to airway. In this paper, there was description of cooling airflow signal processing; and there was analysis of air pressure distribution which was presented simultaneously by three-dimensional surface graph and plane graph at the exhaust port of tank engine compartment according to fitting algorithm.

This paper presents a wideband and high gain circularly polarized ultra-high-frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) reader antenna. Such antenna is composed of one main radiation patch and one parasitic radiation patch with air as the dielectric layer. And two feeding lines connect to the main radiation patch with 90 deg phase difference. Numerical optimizations and experimental demonstrations are performed to investigate the performances of the proposed antenna and good agreements are achieved. This antenna can cover the whole UHF RFID frequency band (840-960 MHz) with gain of 9.7 dBi, which is suitable for universal UHF RFID applications.
