An analysis method for correlation between catenary irregularities and pantograph-catenary contact force

Pantograph-catenary contact force provides the main basis for evaluation of current quality collection; however,the pantograph-catenary contact force is largely affected by the catenary *** analyze the correlated relationship between catenary irregularities and pantograph-catenary contact force,a method based on nonlinear auto-regressive with exogenous input(NARX) neural networks was ***,to collect the test data of catenary irregularities and contact force,the pantograph/catenary dynamics model was established and dynamic simulation was conducted using MATLAB/***,catenary irregularities were used as the input to NARX neural network and the contact force was determined as output of the NARX neural network,in which the neural network was trained by an improved training mechanism based on the regularization *** simulation results show that the testing error and correlation coefficient are 0.1100 and 0.8029,respectively,and the prediction accuracy is *** the comparisons with other algorithms indicate the validity and superiority of the proposed approach.

A novel computational approach to predict activity of nuclear export signals

A nuclear export signal (NES) is a sequence of amino acids, which is a protein localization signal, and contributes to regulate localization of cellular proteins. In recent peering works, activity of NESs were introduced in computational methods, which perform significantly well in identifying unknown NESs even from huge datasets, but suffer from a shortage that only a small number of NESs are associated with experimental verified active scores. In this work, we propose a novel computational method to predict active score of NESs. Specifically, we firstly abstract relevant features to NES activity, and then construct a mathematical model based on principal component analysis (PCA) to find each feature's contribution to activity. In this way, a method to calculate active score of unknown NESs is achieved. In data experiments, it is obtained that our method can achieve accuracy rate 80%. The activity of an unknown NES candidate can give us a preliminary understanding of it, and can be used to identify positive NESs from the negative ones. To the best acknowledge of the authors, this is the first time computational method is proposed to predict NESs' activity. Copyright © 2015 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.

Study on the technology of digital recognition in verification process of mechanical and electronic anemometer

In order to solve the key technical problem in the verification process of mechanical and electrical coal mine anemometer, the paper presents digital recognition approach base on the characters of the anemometer image. First of all, collect the mirror images of the anemometer from a plain mirror which in the wind tunnels. And then we process the mirror images with secondary mirroring, grayscaling, denoising and binarization. Followed the location of the digital area can be determined and the incline distortion of the image can be adjusted. The final step is segmenting the single character in the digital character region and identify the corresponding number base on the characteristics of anemometer, which using the LED digital tube to display numbers. The experiments show that this method can accurately identify the numbers on the anemometer and has high recognition rate. The recognition time is able to meet the requirement for the verification of anemometer. Thus the method has high practical value. © 2014 SERSC.

Design of a wireless monitoring network for granary temperature and humidity based on Zigbee

The granary monitoring systems in used in China are mostly based on wired networks such as RS-485 serial bus, CAN fieldbus, etc. Inevitably these monitoring systems have drawbacks of high installation cost, high failure rate and high maintenance cost. Aiming at these problems, this paper designed a granary temperature and humidity monitoring system based on Zigbee wireless network. The monitoring system consists of sensor modules as Zigbee end devices, a host PC connected to a Zigbee coordinator and some Zigbee routers if necessary. The sensor module is a temperature and humidity testing device using a CC2430 as the controller and a SHT11 as the sensor. All testing results are displayed as figures and curves in real-time on the host PC, and history data are saved in a database file for further analysis. © 2014 SERSC.

Structural finite element model (FEM) updating in dynamics usually deemed the measured modal parameters as the goal. By modifying the theoretical FEM, the updated modal parameters obtained by the analytical FEM would finally tend to the testing results. But the own complexity of the civil structure leads the optimization problem of FEM updating to be super-size and high non-linear performance. Moreover, the uncertainty and nonuniformity of the structures, material and the environment effect cause the uncertainty of the updating parameters, even the optimization objective function of FEM updating. These features has brought greater difficulty to the model updating in civil engineering structure, especially for the application field. Therefore, in this paper several kinds of methods for FEM updating would be introduced with the comparison of their advantages, disadvantages and the range of application. At the end of this paper, the problems remained to be solved in FEM updating of civil structures are to be presented. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications.

The use of light scattering techniques can be achieved for the detection of the protein ontent of milk, but there are many factors that affect the test results in the detection process. One of the important factors effect of detection result is temperature. This article will explore the detection process temperature affect the test results and the fuzzy PID technology to achieve a milk protein detection process of constant temperature, in order to improve detection accuracy.

A dual-band low noise amplifier (DBLNA), which can operate at 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz, is designed and realized. Infineon BFP740 SiGe HBTs are chose as active device, the cascode structure with high isolation and wider bandwidth is selected as gain circuit stage, whose bias current is selected to obtain minimum noise figure. In order to cope with the error of board technology and the PCB transmission loss, an additional stage is added into the cascode amplifier stage, both the peaking inductor and the RC circuit are utilized to compensate the decrease of high-frequency gain. A voltage divider circuit by resistor is employed to provide bias current, and the bias point is determined by scanning IB-NF. For the sake of miniaturization and adjustability, the π-type micro-strip line is used to achieve input/output matching. The combination of the electromagnetic simulation and the schematic diagram simulation, so-called co-simulation, is used to guarantee the simulation results are close to actual case. Finally the board-level layout is designed and the DBLNA PCB is fabricated and measured. © 2014 WIT Press.

Research on mud pulse signal extraction and recognition algorithm in MWD

Mud pulse signal extracting in Wireless measure while drilling (MWD) was a core technology in the process of oil drilling development. Whether the resolution of detected mud pulse signal start point location is accurate or not in ground decoding system would directly affect the accurate level of decoding. For the resolution problems of mud pulse signal start time position, this paper analyzed the transmission format of Manchester coded down-hole datum and transmission characteristics of mud pulse signal, using a wavelet multi-scale and related de-noising algorithm to extract mud pulse signal. According to the characteristics of the Manchester coded underground synchronization signal, It proposed an algorithm based on the combination of equal segmentations within a signal period and waveform correlation to accurately define the mud pulse signal starting time. After extracting the start time position, establishing the pulse signal recognition model within two cycles and using a pattern recognition algorithm to recognize mud pulse signal. The field tests show that the algorithm can accurately define the mud pulse signal starting time and can effectively improve the decoding accuracy and meet the requirements of engineering applications. © Sila Science.
