Quantum process tomography is a critical task for characterizing the dynamics of quantum systems and achieving precise quantum control. In this paper, we propose a two-stage solution for both trace-preserving and non-trace-preserving quantum process tomography. Utilizing a tensor structure, our algorithm exhibits a computational complexity of O(MLd2) where d is the dimension of the quantum system and M, L represent the numbers of different input states and measurement operators, respectively. We establish an analytical error upper bound and then design the optimal input states and the optimal measurement operators, which are both based on minimizing the error upper bound and maximizing the robustness characterized by the condition number. Numerical examples and testing on IBM quantum devices are presented to demonstrate the performance and efficiency of our algorithm. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Quantum state tomography and quantum detector tomography are two main problems in quantum system identification. In this paper, we study state tomography and detector tomography with prior knowledge about the true rank of the unknown state/detector. In this case, we propose a sufficient condition for static (non-adaptive) tomography algorithms to achieve the optimal infidelity scaling O(1/N) on the number of state copies N. Then we present two examples of such static quantum state tomography and quantum detector tomography algorithms. Numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness of our algorithms.

Revealing the structure and distribution changes of corn stalk lignin during the Organosolv Pretreatment

During the pretreatment of biomass, the research on the migration process of lignin in the cell wall and the change of chemical structure is very important for improving pretreatment and subsequent lignin upgrading. Hence, corn stalk lignin was extracted by 1, 4-dioxane organosolv system under mild conditions with varying pretreatment time and 0.1 M hydrochloric acid as catalyst. The heterogeneity of lignin removal in the different morphological areas of the cell wall was revealed by advanced imaging techniques. Results indicated that during the pretreatment with dioxane organosolv, the removal of lignin started from the secondary wall of the cell wall, and gradually developed outward to the compound middle lamella. Meanwhile, the resulting lignin obtained through different pretreatment times was characterized by two-dimensional heteronuclear single quantum coherence spectroscopy (2D-HSQC) and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). These characterization results indicated that there were more syringyl (S) units in the lignin that were removed first, and the proportion of guaiacyl (G) units was increased as the pretreatment continued. All the evidence supports the idea that the main reason for the significant differences in lignin structures at various periods of the lignin removal process is that the lignin come from different cell wall regions. © 2023

Multiple routes strategy, classified as a typical multimodal optimization, is an effective method for AGV to tackle the real-world problem. This article majorly explores the traditional optimization algorithm and the evolutionary algorithm for the routes planning problem. Compared with the traditional path planning method, the evolutionary algorithm based on niche technique can successfully avoid the particle interference in the multimodal condition, thereby ensuring the solution diversity. However, various restrictions may be produced when the niche technique cooperates with the evolutionary algorithm. Hence, this paper summarizes some niche techniques with evolutionary algorithms to analyze their merits for solving the multimodal problem. Also, several benchmark functions are involved for further discussing the effectiveness of the niche technology on the multimodal problem and some improvements are conducted for the algorithm to achieve a more effective work. © 2020 IEEE.

A critical function of flow cytometry is to count the concentration of blood cells,which helps in the diagnosis of certain ***,the bulky nature of commercial flow cytometers makes such tests only available in hospitals or laboratories,hindering the spread of point-of-care testing(POCT),especially in underdeveloped ***,we propose a smart Palm-size Optofluidic Hematology Analyzer based on a miniature fluorescence microscope and a microfluidic platform to lighten the device to improve its *** gadget has a dimension of 35×30×80 mm and a mass of 39 g,less than 5%of the weight of commercially available flow ***,automatic leukocyte concentration detection has been realized through the integration of image processing and leukocyte counting *** compared the leukocyte concentration measurement between our approach and a hemocytometer using the Passing-Bablok analysis and achieved a correlation coefficient of *** Bland-Altman analysis,we obtained the relationship between their differences and mean measurement values and established 95%limits of agreement,ranging from−0.93×10^(3)to 0.94×10^(3)cells/μ*** anticipate that this device can be used widely for monitoring and treating diseases such as HIV and tumors beyond hospitals.

Identifying IoT Devices Based on Spatial and Temporal Features from Network Traffic

With the rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) devices, security risks have also arisen. The preidentification of IoT devices connected to the network can help administrators to set corresponding security policies according to the functionality and heterogeneity of the devices. However, the existing methods are based on manually extracted features and prior knowledge to identify the IoT devices, which increases the difficulty of the device identification task and reduces the timeliness. In this paper, we present CBBI, a novel IoT device identification approach. On the one hand, CBBI uses a hybrid neural network model Conv-BiLSTM to automatically learn the representative spatial and temporal features from the network traffic, such as the position relationship of the internal organization structure in network communication traffic, the time sequence of the data packets, and the duration of the network flow. On the other hand, CBBI contains the data augmentation module FGAN that solves the problem of data imbalance in deep learning and improves the accuracy of the model. Finally, we used the public dataset and laboratory dataset to evaluate CBBI from multiple dimensions. The evaluation results for different datasets show that our approach achieves the accurate identification of IoT devices. © 2021 Feihong Yin et al.

Half-Metallicity in Cu-Metalated Carbyne Predicted by First-Principles Calculations

Theoretical investigations of the electronic structure of free-standing one-dimensional Cu-metalated carbyne and BN atomic wire are performed using density functional theory. Our calculations demonstrate that the ground state of these two monatomic wires is all half-metallic ferromagnets with 100% spin-polarization. At Fermi level, their density of states is metallic for minority spin channel and shows a semiconductor gap for majority spin channel. Monte Carlo simulation based on Ising mode indicates that the Curie temperature for these two monatomic wires is much higher than the temperature of liquid nitrogen, which promises potential applications in the nanoscale and molecular spintronics in the future. © 2022, The Authors. To reduce difficulty of obtaining jamming parameters, combining scattered wave deception jamming method structure with genetic algorithm, a scattered wave deceptive jamming method based on genetic algorithm is proposed against three Channel SAR GMTI. Four-dimensional jamming parameter searching problem is separated as a one-dimensional optimization problem and a two-dimensional optimization problem, which will reduce computational burden and jamming parameter acquirement time and raise fidelity of deceptive jamming. In addition, the problem, that tolerance of Doppler rate mismatch is difficult to describe, is solved by transforming an objective function of the two-dimensional optimization problem. By utilizing jamming quality parameters, simulation experiments are provided to verify the effectiveness of SGA method against the three-channel SAR GMTI. © 2021 IEEE.

Non-Abelian gauge field plays a central role in understanding the geometrical and topological phenomena in physics. Here we experimentally induce a non-Abelian gauge field in the degenerate eigensubspace of a double-Λ four-level atomic system. The non-Abelian nature of the gauge field is detected through the measurement of the noncommutativity of two successive evolution loops. Then we theoretically propose and experimentally demonstrate a scheme to measure the non-Abelian gauge field through multiloop evolution and robust holonomic quantum gates. The demonstrated scheme offers the advantage of detecting the non-Abelian gauge field with amplification through multiloop evolution. Our results pave the way for an experimentally feasible approach to achieving high-resolution and high-precision measurements of the gauge fields.
