Most faults of large-scale electromechanical equipment are trendy ones, often have long course characteristics. As the fault information is usually lost in non-fault information of condition changes, the traditional methods are difficult to predict it effectively. To solve this problem, field data-based fault prediction theory and methods are studied primary for large rotating electromechanical equipment, and new nonlinear prediction way in multi-transform domains is proposed to achieve long course prediction for the equipment under variable operating conditions. In the new way fault feature extraction method of nonlinear dimensionality reduction is investigated to extract fault and potential fault sensitive information and to separate faulty development changes from non-fault energy changes. The research is important for large electromechanical equipment to achieve early fault prediction, guarantee safe operation, save maintenance costs, improve utilization and implement scientific maintenance.

Waveguides are structures consisting of geometrically identical subdomains, usually called periodic cells which have many practical applications, for example, optical communications, filters, lasers, and microwaves. Finite element based approaches for infinite periodic structures have one fundamental restriction. The finite element mesh on opposite sides of the cell must be exactly the same, i.e., a periodic mesh. In this paper, we consider a novel finite element meshing method for calculation of waveguide band structures. In particular, we propose a simple mapping scheme to generate periodic mesh. We first map the periodic cell to a closed domain such that the periodic cell are glued together in the new domain. Then we can apply mesh generation schemes to obtain a regular triangular mesh. This mesh is mapped back to the periodic cell such that the nodes and edges on the periodic boundaries are matched.

The analysis and study on MIMO channels capacity is benifit to 4G network's construction and optimization in the future. On the condition of invariable coefficient of channels, MIMO channel capacity and its approximate expression in low SNR was deduced when equal transmit energy scheme was adopted. When waterfilling power algorithm was applied capacacity was also given in detail with CSI at the transmitter. The above two power allocation schemes were compared in the same enviroment by simulation: In the instance of power not being added, waterfilling algorithm is optimal but it is too complex on the operation;If the channel was Rayleigh i.i.d approximatively MIMO channel limit capacity expression was deduced. The tendency of change on ergodic capacity and outage capacity was simulated in various antenna configurations: ergodic capacity and outage capacity improved with rising number of transmit antennas and receive antennas.

This paper presented an approach for automatically quantifying the dental plaque based on modified kernelized fuzzy c-means. The proposed approach was applied to a clinical database consisting of 30 objects. The experimental results show that the proposed method provids accurate quantitative measurement of dental plaque compared with that of traditional manual measurement indices of the dental plaque.
