For nonlinear differential-algebraic equations subsystems satisfying linear growth conditions, the problem of output feedback stabilization control is considered in this paper. The design of the state observer and that of the controller are coupled. The proposed observer is non-initialized and linear which robustify the observer. Based on Backstepping approach, a linear dynamic output compensator is constructed, through which the whole closed-loop systems are asymptotically stable. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

In this paper, we proposed a nonlinear robust control design combined with neural network for a 3 degree of freedom (DOF) helicopter test-bed which may be subjected to unknown external disturbance and contains structure uncertainties. Regulation and tracking control design are proposed for the angles of elevation, pitch and travel axes. Numerical simulation results are provided to illustrate that the proposed controllers achieve good performance and the closed loop systems obtain good robustness with respect to system uncertainties and disturbances.

This paper presents an improved fast fractional pel motion estimation algorithm for H.264. First, to skip inefficient fractional pel search, smooth macro-block prediction algorithm is proposed. Then, to further reduce the computation load of H.264 fractional pel motion estimation, an extended diamond pattern search algorithm based on predicted motion vector is proposed. The simulation result shows that compared with the FFPS (Full Fractional Pel Search) algorithm, the proposed algorithm can save about 39.5% computation load of the whole motion estimation module only with PSNR degradation less than 0.189 dB.

An adaptive shadow removal algorithm with background subtraction method based on shadow position and edges attributes is presented. Accumulative frames differences of symmetrical frames are adopted to detect the moving regions approximately, and the moving regions templates are constructed through static index, then the background model is built by the statistics of brightness information. On the base of above, background subtraction method and Sobel edge detector are combined to extract moving object and its edges which include shadow. The direction of shadow is determined by the edge and position of the shadow combining with the horizontal and vertical projections of the edge image respectively, the position of the shadow is located accurately through proportion method, the shadow can be removed finally. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method is easy to be realized and can determine the direction of the shadow adaptively, then eliminate the shadow and extract the whole moving object accurately, especially when the chrominance invariant principle is ineffective.

Evolutionary games are widely studied in the fields of biology, sociology, economics and informatics. People's interests focus on how cooperation emerged in a system that individuals are selfish. We studied the iterated Prisoner's Dilemma Game evolved on BA network with genetic algorithm. Nodes in network could remember the game historical strategies and coded into gene. We show that memory length has gentle effect on cooperation level, and that some characteristic genes and frequentlyused genes emerge after some generations. We also find that cooperate strategy distributed on different degree-nodes equably. These findings give new perspectives to the illustration of cooperation behavior in biological group and society.
