The application of fluorescent spectrometry in quality detection and brand identification of fermentation food was studied. Three brands of stronger alcohol with a fragrant flavor (Gujing ju, Luzhoujiao ju, Shuanggou daqu) which come from different regions were compared in study of spectroscopy. We had detected each fluorescence spectra of different brands which were prompted by the UV-light with different wavelength and excited by the UV-light with same wavelength. The experimental results indicate that each alcohol has its owner fluorescence spectra, even excited by the UV-light with same wavelengh, each alcohol has different fluorescence spectra.

"Tooth-arrangement Three-fingered Hands" is a brand-new oral cavity repairing robot. It has the functions of fine grasping and arranging artificial tooth, manufacturing complete denture, etc. A new optimization design method is proposed in this paper that solves the problems in optimization structure parameter confirming and optimal dexterous design. The bionic theorem behind duplicating the dexterity of the human finger is incorporated into the structure parameter optimization algorithm. Through analyzing the dexterity of the single finger, adopting the design criteria of dexterous degree with optimum index and combining the characteristic of grasping the smallest object, this design method can confirm the best dexterity area for single finger, relations between every rod length and rotation range of every joint. Using MATLAB optimization toolbox to optimize above-mentioned structure parameter, it gains the optimal dimension that meets characteristic of human fingers and can finish grasping. A quantitative method is also proposed in this paper to calculate the relative position between fingers. It is applied to the real design of Tooth-Arrangement Three-fingered Hands and obtained optimal flexible performance.

This paper researches acoustic signals of typical vehicle targets in order to extract features and to recognize vehicle targets. As a data fusion method, the technique of artificial neural networks combined with genetic algorithm (ANNCGA) is applied for recognition of acoustic signals that belong to different kinds of vehicle targets. The technique and its architecture have been presented. The algorithm had been used for classification and recognition of acoustic signals of vehicle targets in the outdoor environment. Through experiments, it can be proven that acoustic properties of target acquired are correct, ANNCGA data fusion method is effective to solve the problem of target recognition. © 2005 IEEE.

The investigations on the fluorescence spectra of starch-water suspension excited by ultraviolet (UV) light and its characteristics contribute to study the characteristics and mechanisms of free radicals coming into being, emitting, and disappearing. Fluorescence spectra of starch, dextrose, sucrose, and maltose excited by 260-nm light are compared and their similarities further verify that this fluorescence comes from the transition from nonbonding. namely n electrons in the hetero-atom (O) of the functional group (C-O-C) called ether linkage, to the antibouding orbital σ*. The functional group is a part, of six-membered ring structure in starch molecule. Meanwhile, the experimental results indicate that relative peak intensity of fluorescence emitted by 1% starch suspension comes to climax when starch suspensions with different concentrations are excited by the same wavelength.

The investigations on the fluorescence spectra of starch-water suspension excited by ultraviolet (UV) light and its characteristics contribute to study the characteristics and mechanisms of free radicals coming into being, emitting, and disappearing. Wavelet transform is an ideal way for edge detection because of its multi-scale property, localization both in time and frequency domain, sensitivity to the abrupt change of signals, and so on. An improved algorithm for image edge detection based on Lifting Scheme is proposed in this paper. The simulation results show that our improved method can better reflect edge information of images.

In autonomous distributed robot systems, many robots cooperate together to carry out many difficult tasks that single robot can not realize. But, in order to cooperate together the robots should communicate with each other. Therefore, the communication among robots is very important problem to be solved. In this paper, we propose an adaptive reservation-time division multiple access (AR-TDMA) medium access control protocol. We carried out computer simulation to evaluate the performance of proposed method. The simulation results show that the proposed protocol has better scalability characteristics and object transportation time compared with a conventional protocol.
