The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau contains the most abundant clean energy such as hydropower, wind and solar in the world. However, it is very difficult to add overhead transmission lines on the ground due to the complex geographical environment. The large-capacity tunnel cables which is less affected by the earth surface environment, may play an important role on the energy transmission in such area. Based on the cable thermal circuit model, the electrical-magnetic-thermal multiphysics coupling of the cable is modeled in COMSOL Multiphysics. The parameter changes of the material during the temperature rising process, the influence of different ventilation conditions and different current-carrying capacities on the changes of the cable temperature field are quantitatively analyzed. The results show that the proposed model is valid in certain conditions. The research on the current carrying capacity and thermal effect of tunnel cables is of great significance for the transportation and consumption of large-scale clean energy resources. © 2022 IEEE.

When a high proportion of renewable energy is connected to the grid, the net load fluctuation can be suppressed by configuring energy storage. However, the current cost of energy storage is high. This paper proposes a bi-level optimization model that takes into account the dynamic allocation of shared energy storage (SES) capacity in response to electric load demand. The upper-layer objective function adopts EO optimization algorithm, which is to maximize the income of the shared energy storage operator (SESO). The lower-layer multi-objective function is to minimize the sum of the operating cost and the net load mean square error of multiple microgrids, which can be classified as the mixed integer linear programming problem. Then, the solution flow of the algorithm is given. Finally, under the constraints of the hierarchical optimization-based model, solving the problem by the CPLEX solver on the MATLAB platform. The results demonstrate that the proposed method can allocate optimal capacity and reduce operating costs for microgrids. Simultaneously, this method increases the revenue of SESO and promotes the consumption of renewable energy. © 2022 IEEE.

Cuboid-Net: A Multi-Branch Convolutional Neural Network for Joint Space-Time Video Super Resolution

The demand for high-resolution videos has been consistently rising across various domains, propelled by continuous advancements in science, technology, and societal. Nonetheless, challenges arising from limitations in imaging equipment capabilities, imaging conditions, as well as economic and temporal factors often result in obtaining low-resolution images in particular situations. Space-time video super-resolution aims to enhance the spatial and temporal resolutions of low-resolution and low-frame-rate videos. The currently available space-time video super-resolution methods often fail to fully exploit the abundant information existing within the spatio-temporal domain. To address this problem, we tackle the issue by conceptualizing the input low-resolution video as a cuboid structure. Drawing on this perspective, we introduce an innovative methodology called "Cuboid-Net," which incorporates a multi-branch convolutional neural network. Cuboid-Net is designed to collectively enhance the spatial and temporal resolutions of videos, enabling the extraction of rich and meaningful information across both spatial and temporal dimensions. Specifically, we take the input video as a cuboid to generate different directional slices as input for different branches of the network. The proposed network contains four modules, i.e., a multi-branch-based hybrid feature extraction (MBFE) module, a multi-branch-based reconstruction (MBR) module, a first stage quality enhancement (QE) module, and a second stage cross frame quality enhancement (CFQE) module for interpolated frames only. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is not only effective for spatial and temporal super-resolution of video but also for spatial and angular super-resolution of light field. In the context of carbon neutrality, the power industry is becoming the main battlefield of carbon emission reduction. However, the low-carbon transformation of energy structure is a complex long-term task, it needs to be analyzed in combination with the actual situation. This paper is based on the microgrid in the grid connection mode, considering microgrid power output and carbon emission constraints. An optimal model is proposed to reduce carbon emission cost, the optimal economic operation, and build a low-carbon scheduling model of a microgrid system. In this paper, the improved multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to solve the problem. Finally, the simulation results verify the effectiveness of the model and the superiority of the improved algorithm. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper deals with the joint design of slow-time code and receive filters at uncertain ranges for cross ambiguity function (CAF) shaping to mitigate the disturbance power robustly. The weighted interference power at the output of the filters is minimized along with the modulus constraint and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) loss constraints. To tackle the resultant non-convex optimization problem, an iterative algorithm based on alternating direction penalty method (ADPM) is developed, in which the subproblems involved in each iteration with closed-form solutions. Numerical simulations demonstrate the interference suppression capability of the proposed algorithm.

With the explosive growth of user data in 6G networks, existing infrastructures face significant scalability and latency challenges. Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) partially alleviates these issues by deploying computational resources closer to users, but still struggles to fully meet the growing demands. Re-configurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) enhance communication performance by improving channel quality. However, optimizing resource allocation in RIS-aided MEC systems remains a critical challenge due to the complexity of real-time optimization of multiple parameters. Although Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) methods like Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG) have been applied, they often suffer from Q-value overestimation and instability, resulting in suboptimal performance in dynamic environments. This paper focuses on a single-cell RIS-aided MEC network where multiple user devices offload computational tasks to an edge server. We propose an optimized resource allocation scheme using an improved Distributed Soft Actor-Critic (DSAC-T) algorithm. This approach jointly optimizes power control, computation offloading, edge computing resource allocation, and RIS phase shifts, aiming to minimize total offloading delay to ensure real-time service requirements. Simulation results demonstrate that DSAC-T outperforms multiple baseline methods (e.g., DDPG and SAC) in reducing offloading delay by 46.39% and 16.70%, respectively, while significantly enhancing system stability and convergence speed.

This paper addresses the challenge of reliability evaluation for small-sample and zero-failure data by introducing a method that integrates Bayesian theory with curve fitting. Initially, we employ the moment-entropy normalization method to determine the hyperparameters of the Beta distribution. This approach incorporates data from similar products, effectively overcoming the limitations posed by small sample sizes. Next, we use a Bayesian method to merge data from similar products with the current product data. By treating the likelihood function as binomial with zero failures, we accurately estimate parameters and improve the precision of reliability assessments. This enables us to obtain point estimates of failure probabilities at different time points and determine the upper confidence limits of failure probabilities at a given confidence level. Furthermore, we introduce the Weibull distribution as a life distribution model and apply curve fitting to estimate the Weibull parameters and their lower confidence limits, further enhancing the robustness of our reliability estimates. Finally, the proposed Bayesian method demonstrates strong practical applicability in case studies, providing valuable insights for the design and testing of reliable products.

Aiming at the shortcomings of existing venturi steam traps in practical application, a new type of venturi steam trap with self-adaptive flow rate was proposed. The structure of the venturi steam trap has the characteristics of automatic drainage and good drainage effect, small size, low failure rate and long service life. Of venturi steam hydrophobic internal parts structure design theory, the new type of venturi tube throat diameter was determined and the expansion period of Angle and length, using FLUENT software to the new designed venturi steam trap are simulated, and compared with the original venturi steam drain structure carries out a comparative analysis on the simulation results, the simulation results show that: The effect of hydrophobicity is more obvious when the venturi tube is extended. The new venturi steam trap was cast and tested on the spot. The test results showed that the experimental results were highly consistent with the theoretical results, and the new Venturi steam trap could meet the technological requirements. © 2022 IEEE.

The study thoroughly examines the structural components of the PCB and the vibrations it encounters throughout its lifecycle. Based on the characteristics of vibrations at different stages, corresponding testing standards and methods were developed, providing a scientific basis for the reliability assessment of PCB boards.

The airborne Dual Trailing Wire Antenna (DTWA) has a complex shape that makes it challenging to calculate using the conventional analytical method and challenging to obtain results with high precision. The purpose of this thesis is to study the performance of the Dual Trailing Wire Antenna on the aircraft. The operation theory of the airborne DTWA is presented in this paper along with a method of establishing such large models of airborne Very Low Frequency (VLF) dual trailing wire antenna systems. The performance of the DTWA model is calculated, which is 6000 meters long. Then discuss dual trailing wire antenna’s EM radiation characteristics and impedances by the analysis of simulation results. The electromagnetic field distribution and induced current of the Airborne Dual Trailing Wire Antenna are analyzed by calculating the radiation field of the DTWA. The conclusions are beneficial for further study on the application of airborne VLF communication systems.
