Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), an emerging computing paradigm, shifts computing and storage capabilities from the cloud to the network edge, aiming to meet the delay requirements of emerging applications and save backhaul network bandwidth. However, compared to cloud servers, MEC servers have limited computing and storage capabilities, which cannot meet the massive offloading demands of users during high-load periods. In this context, this paper proposes a multi-ENs collaborative task processing model. The model aims to formulate optimal offloading decisions and allocate computing resources for tasks to minimize system delay and cost. To solve this problem, we propose an online algorithm based on Lyapunov optimization called OKMTA, which can work online without the need for predicting future information. Specifically, the problem is formulated as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problem and decomposed into two subproblems for solution. By using the Lagrange multiplier method to solve the computing resource allocation problem of tasks, and by using matching theory to solve the offloading decision problem of tasks. The simulation results show that our algorithm can achieve near-optimal delay performance while satisfying the long-term system average cost constraint. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2024.

The construction of the network frame for power outage system restoration target is a key link in accelerating the restoration process and reducing losses. Aiming at the fact that the commonly used random search intelligent algorithm needs to continuously iteratively correct, adjust the adaptability function, the process is complex, and the solution efficiency is low in solving such problems, a mathematical model considering the minimum reactive power, the shortest closing time and the node weight is established. On this basis, the energy function characterizing the optimization target and various constraints is constructed, and the energy function of the Hopfield neural network is used to directly obtain the optimal restoration target frame, and the algorithm steps are given. The proposed method is verified by using the IEEE-10 generators 39 node system, and the results show that the proposed method is feasible and effective. © 2022 IEEE.

Within the theoretical framework of Naive Bayes(NB), Iterative Bayes(IB), as an important variant, was proposed to alleviate the attribute interdependence problem based on output adjustment technique and shows certain performance enhancement. However, like NB, IB also suffers from biased classification and poor robustness against noise on class imbalanced data. To address these problems, cost-sensitive learning is introduced, and by assigning fuzzy-membership values to training data, we propose a class of Fuzzy Weighted Iterative Bayes algorithms (FWIB-CE, FWIB-HE, FWIB-CL-HL) to integrate more prior information from the sample distribution. The experimental results on ten typical imbalanced datasets show our methods have significant outperformance over NB and IB under G-mean evaluation in classification and have higher robustness against noise interference. © 2022 IEEE.

Wearable bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) devices are becoming increasingly popular due to their portability and low power consumption. However, improving power efficiency remains a significant challenge. One proposed solution is to reduce the number of excitation frequencies in the stimulation signal. This study investigates how reducing the number of used frequencies affects bioimpedance spectroscopy performance through simulations using synthetic data derived from a Cole-Cole model incorporating a Constant Phase Element (CPE). Simulations were conducted at various noise levels to evaluate how noise impacts the relationship between frequency and impedance. The results indicate a correlation between the number of frequencies used in BIS and the accuracy of CPE parameter extraction. This is particularly evident for α parameters of 0.8 and higher. Conversely, lowering the α value increases errors, even when a higher number of frequencies is used. © 2024 IEEE.

The special geometry of ball-end milling tool is widely used in the precision machining and ultra-precision machining of complex surfaces. However, when enterprises are finishing, in order to ensure the processing quality, they often change the tool before the milling tool reaches the dull standard, increasing the production cost of the enterprise. In addition, different processing types also have different requirements for tool flank wear. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the flank wear of the ball-end milling tool during the machining process. In order to solve this problem, the cutting area in milling process is determined according to the cutting parameters and the geometric parameters of the ball-end milling tool, and the cutting force model based on the cutting area is constructed. At the same time, according to the material and geometric parameters of the tool, the wear model of the tool is constructed. The value of flank wear is determined by the calculated cutting force. Finally, using the high speed milling tool wear data set published in the PHM Society data Competition in 2010, the correctness of the wear model is verified by experiments and analysis. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

This study primarily investigates the blurred edge and eccentricity of spatial circular projection problem whilst the stereo vision system uses circular feature points to calibrate. The high-precision positioning of the circle center is carried out by eccentric error correction to improve the calibration accuracy of the camera parameters. Firstly, the high-precision pixel coordinate positioning of the circle edge is realized by the Zernike moment of the projected image, and then the influencing factors of the deviation between the projected ellipse center and the projection of the real center of the space circle are analyzed. Moreover, the deviation of the fitted circle center is compensated to make it approach the real circle center projection. Lastly, the proposed strategy is utilized to extract the center of the 99-circle calibration plate and adopt it for camera parameter calibration. According to the experiment results, the precision of the circle center fitting is higher than that of the traditional algorithms and the three-dimensional reconstruction accuracy of the camera calibration parameters is improved, which implies that the proposed approach should therefore have potential for practical application prospects. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Spectral resolution is crucial for achieving precise and high-quality imaging and analysis in imaging systems. Coded aperture correlation holography system face challenges in distinguishing objects at different wavelengths due to their limited spectral resolution. This paper presents a method that combines Bessel beams with a lens phase mask to encode an object's spatial and spectral information into a hologram. Reconstruction is achieved by cross-correlating with the point spread hologram for each wavelength, enabling precise imaging under multi-wavelength conditions. Simulation results show that this method only requires recording a single object hologram at the same wavelength, eliminating the need for multiple recordings. It also offers high spectral sensitivity and spectral resolution. This method is expected to further advance the application of spectral imaging technology in fields such as high-resolution imaging and microscopic endoscopy. © 2024 SPIE.

Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithm is widely used in unmanned and robotic applications. SLAM usually uses sensor data, which are from the LiDAR, the inertial measurement unit (IMU) and the wheeled odometry, to build maps of the surrounding environment. However, the motion distortion of LiDAR data and the error accumulation of wheeled odometry can affect the accuracy of the front-end odometry of the SLAM algorithm, which can lead to serious errors in the maps created. Therefore, in order to solve the problem of poor map construction results of SLAM algorithm due to various types of sensor errors. we propose the traceless Kalman filtering based (UKF-based) multi-sensor data processing algorithm. Firstly, the proposed algorithm uses the UKF to fuse IMU and wheeled odometry data to reduce the cumulative error of wheeled odometry. And then the algorithm uses IMU and corrected wheeled odometry data and combines with the motion states of the robot to solve the motion distortion problem of LiDAR data. Finally, we verified the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for wheeled odometry data correction in Gazebo simulation environment and real environment experiments, and compared the mapping effectiveness of SLAM by using the original data and the data processed by our algorithm. The experimental results show that the map construction effect of SLAM algorithm is significantly improved when using the sensor data processed by the algorithm. Experimental validation on the robot shows that the proposed algorithm has universal applicability and good compatibility. © 2023 IEEE.
