Experimental Study on the Performance and Emission of Chinese Small Agricultural Diesel Engine Fuelled with Methanol/Biodiesel/DTBP

Diesel engine alternative fuels, such as methanol and biodiesel, are beneficial to reduce diesel engine emission. In order to study the influence of methanol and biodiesel on the performance, economy and emission of small agricultural diesel engine, the physical-chemical properties(cetane number, lower heat value(LHV), viscosity, etc.) of methanol and biodiesel were analyzed. The methanol and biodiesel showed good complementary property to some extent. When a large proportion of methanol was added into biodiesel, the cetane number of the methanol/biodiesel blend will be greatly reduced. Since the cetane number of the blend fuel has great influence on the combustion process of diesel engine, after testing for blending ratio of methanol/biodiesel, the blend was prepared with 5%(BM5), 10%(BM10) and 15%(BM15) methanol, respectively. Di-Tert-Butyl Peroxide(DTBP) was chosen as a cetane number improver to be added into methanol/biodiesel blend. 0.25%, 0.50% and 0.75% of DTBP was added into BM15. The bench test was carried out on a 186 FA diesel engine to study the effect of methanol and DTBP on the engine performance and emissions. The results show that, at rated condition, compared with biodiesel, the NO;concentration of BM5, BM10 and BM15 is reduced by 5.02%, 33.85% and 21.24%, and smoke is reduced by 5.56%, 22.22% and 55.56%. However, the engine power is also reduced by 5.77%, 14.23% and 25.41%, and the brake specific energy consumption is increased by 3.31%, 7.78% and 6.37%. The addition of DTBP in methanol/biodiesel could recover the engine power to the level of diesel. DTBP shows good effect on the reduction of the brake specific energy consumption and NO_(x), CO, HC concentration, but a little increase of exhaust smoke.

With the rapid development of deep learning, it has been widely applied in fields such as computer vision, natural language processing, and robotics. Despite the superior performance of deep learning in object detection, most industrial vision robots still rely on traditional object detection methods due to computational constraints of robot controllers. In order to improve the performance of object detection for vision robots, a lightweight 3D object detection network based on You Only Look Once version 5 (YOLOv5) is proposed for satisfying industrial production. YOLOv5 work to efficiently object detection using deep convolutional networks. In terms of model deployment, we adopt a novel OpenVINO-based model deployment approach. The OpenVINO framework significantly enhances the inference speed of models by model optimization and compression. Our model achieves a 70% reduction in inference time compared to the baseline model on CPU. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through experiments. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to address the problem of current object detection models being too large to be deployed on robot controllers, this paper proposes improvements to YOLOv5 for real-time detection. The YOLOv5s model is pruned at the Batch Normalization (BN) layer, and further optimized using the OpenVINO tool for quantization. The results demonstrate that our improvements effectively improve the model's inference speed while maintaining its accuracy. Compared to the original YOLOv5 model, the pruned model achieves the same accuracy without degradation, with a 36.6% reduction in parameter count and a 35% reduction in weight storage file size. Furthermore, after optimization with OpenVINO, the final model achieves a FPS of 56. © 2023 IEEE.

Telemedicine plays an important role in Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19).The virtual surgery simulation system,as a key component in telemedicine,requires to compute in ***,this paper proposes a realtime cutting model based on finite element and order reduction method,which improves the computational speed and ensure the real-time *** proposed model uses the finite element model to construct a deformation model of the virtual ***,a model order reduction method combining proper orthogonal decomposition and Galerkin projection is employed to reduce the amount of deformation *** addition,the cutting path is formed according to the collision intersection position of the surgical instrument and the lesion area of the virtual ***,the Bezier curve is adopted to draw the incision outline after the virtual lung has been ***,the simulation system is set up on the PHANTOM OMNI force haptic feedback device to realize the cutting simulation of the virtual *** results show that the proposed model can enhance the real-time performance of telemedicine,reduce the complexity of the cutting simulation and make the incision smoother and more natural.

This paper proposes a semi-Markov model of telecommunication network (TCN). The variant of dynamic traffic adaptive control of queuing system as a special case of TCN is considered. The main purpose of control is to minimize the average cost per unit of time to service the incoming flow of information (packets). This takes into account the different bandwidth of the channels, the processing speed of information in the channel and the information capacity of the buffers. The approach to the organization of dynamic control taking into account noise immunity (information reliability) and information security is discussed. © 2024 IEEE.

Off-axis digital holography can reconstruct the amplitude and phase of the imaging object by selecting the original term spectrum through filtering. A larger filtering range contains more effective information from the original term spectrum. However, the presence of zero-order term limits the size of the filter window and consequently affects the resolution of reconstruction. In this work, we propose a spliced spectrum method based on binary Kronecker-product image interpolation to better suppress zero-order term and improve the quality of reconstruction. Additionally, a rectangular Butterworth filter is also introduced to make the reconstructed images smoother and more regular. We demonstrate the feasibility of this method through simulations of a picture and experiments with two different imaging objects. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

With the wide application of Quadrotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (QUAV) in military and civilian fields, its flight reliability problem has become a hot research topic. The propellers, which are the important components relating to the performance of QUAV, play a central role in safe flight. Traditional data-driven fault diagnosis methods of QUAV are based on Euclidean distance, which cannot effectively capture the interrelationship of multiple variables. In this paper, we treat the fault diagnosis of QUAV propeller as a node classification problem in non-Euclidean infinite dimensional space by introducing the method of Local-Global Attention-based Graph Neural Network (LGA-GNN). First, the graph topology is constructed using the KNN method based on the real flight log of the QUAV. Then, the local and global attention strategies are integrated to form a graph-based collaborative feature extraction model. Finally, a unified end-to-end fault diagnosis framework tailored for QUAV is proposed. In the experiment section, real flight data of QUAV with different propeller fault conditions are collected, and the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method are verified by comparing with other methods based on real data.

Taking the heat exchange tube in the condenser as the research object, the three-dimensional finite element model of the heat exchange tube and the Internal and external fluid of pipe is established, and the bidirectional fluid-solid coupling calculation of the heat exchange tube is carried out. The time-domain and frequency-domain curves of lift, drag and displacement of the heat exchange tube and the time-domain and frequency-domain curves of the pressure pulsation in the tube are obtained. At the same time, the acoustic simulation calculation is carried out for the vibration noise of the heat exchange tube. The time domain and frequency domain curves of sound pressure near the heat exchange tube are obtained. The simulation results show that the frequency of pressure pulsation corresponds to the frequency of lift and drag. The flow velocity in the tube studied in this paper will affect the amplitude and waveform of the pressure pulsation but will not affect its frequency. The sound pressure frequency of the upper and lower sides of the heat exchange tube only corresponds to the lift frequency, and the sound pressure frequency on the left and right side corresponds to the lift and drag frequencies. © 2021 IEEE.

In this paper,a nonsmooth observer considering friction compensation is proposed for the sensorless permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) to estimate the rotor position and *** is one of the main factors affecting the tracking accuracy of the motor at low speed,especially in the back and forth motion of the ***,based on the Stribeck friction model,a nonlinear friction model of the motor is ***,a nonsmooth observer with friction compensation is designed to estimate the position and speed of the rotor,and the lumped disturbance of the system at the same ***,the stability analysis of this nonsmooth observer is ***,the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the simulation results.
