The Optical Fiber Composite Overhead Conductor (OPPC) cable is a special type of power optical cable that combines overhead conductor and communication capabilities. It has advantages such as strong wind resistance, good corrosion resistance, high bandwidth transmission, low loss transmission, and high reliability. However, as the OPPC cable operates for a long time power transmission, its long-term working temperature has a significant impact on transmission performance and lifespan. Therefore, monitoring the temperature of the OPPC cable and internal fibers can improve the transmission capacity of the line, ensure good thermal stability, and provide important references for fault warning and maintenance. This study aims to explore the temperature characteristics of the OPPC cable through actual monitoring and analysis, providing guidance and decision-making basis for practical applications.

Dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous machine (DTP-PMSM) has attracted great attention due to its high reliability and high-power output capacities. However, the conventional single-voltage-vector-based predictive current control (SV-PCC) for DTP-PMSM presents high torque ripple and current harmonics, and high computational burden. To solve those issues, a modulated-virtual-vector-based PCC (MVV-PCC) for DTP-PMSM is proposed in this paper. Wherein, twenty-four VVs are synthesized by the inherent voltage vectors, and two VVs and one zero voltage vector with optimal duty cycles are determined and applied in each sampling period to improve the steady-state performance. The selection of optimal VVs and the calculation of the optimal duty cycles are simplified by integrating the deadbeat control and modulation scheme. Various comparisons are carried out to validate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed MVV-PCC strategy.

Attributes Grouping and Mining Hashing for Fine-Grained Image Retrieval

In recent years, hashing methods have been popular in the large-scale media search for low storage and strong representation capabilities. To describe objects with similar overall appearance but subtle differences, more and more studies focus on hashing-based fine-grained image retrieval. Existing hashing networks usually generate both local and global features through attention guidance on the same deep activation tensor, which limits the diversity of feature representations. To handle this limitation, we substitute convolutional descriptors for attention-guided features and propose an Attributes Grouping and Mining Hashing (AGMH), which groups and embeds the category-specific visual attributes in multiple descriptors to generate a comprehensive feature representation for efficient fine-grained image retrieval. Specifically, an Attention Dispersion Loss (ADL) is designed to force the descriptors to attend to various local regions and capture diverse subtle details. Moreover, we propose a Stepwise Interactive External Attention (SIEA) to mine critical attributes in each descriptor and construct correlations between fine-grained attributes and objects. The attention mechanism is dedicated to learning discrete attributes, which will not cost additional computations in hash codes generation. Finally, the compact binary codes are learned by preserving pairwise similarities. Experimental results demonstrate that AGMH consistently yields the best performance against state-of-the-art methods on fine-grained benchmark datasets. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. The Meta Distribution of SINR in UAV-Assisted Cellular Networks

Mounting compact and lightweight base stations on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is a cost-effective and flexible solution to provide seamless coverage on the existing terrestrial networks. While the coverage probability in UAV-assisted cellular networks has been widely investigated, it provides only the first-order statistic of signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR). In this paper, to analyze high-order statistics of SINR and characterize the disparity among individual links, we provide a meta distribution (MD)-based analytical framework for UAV-assisted cellular networks, in which the probabilistic line-of-sight channel and realistic antenna pattern are taken into account for air-to-ground transmissions. To accurately characterize the interference from UAVs, we relax the widely applied uniform off-boresight angle (OBA) assumption and derive the exact distribution of OBA. Using stochastic geometry, for both steerable and vertical antenna scenarios, we obtain mathematical expressions for the moments of condition success probability, the SINR MD, and the mean local delay. Moreover, we study the asymptotic behavior of the moments as network density approaches infinity. Numerical results validate the tightness of the theoretical results and show that the uniform OBA assumption underestimates the network performance, especially in the regime of moderate altitude of UAV. We also show that when UAVs are equipped with steerable antennas, the network coverage and user fairness can be optimized simultaneously by carefully adjusting the UAV parameters. Low altitude safety corridor is not only an important infrastructure construction in China, but also the focus of low altitude strategic competition in the world. UAS is an important part of the development of low altitude safety corridor industry. With the gradual opening of low altitude airspace, the application fields of UAS are greatly expanded. In this paper, the theoretical system of low altitude safety corridor is briefly described. The technical design route of the development of the low altitude safety corridor is introduced. The multi-heterogeneous data acquisition of low altitude airspace and ground environment is used to to realize the accurate sensing and data storage of ground and aerial environment in low altitude airspace. Geographic information system, big data analysis and artificial intelligence are used to achieve accurate analysis of the collected multi-heterogeneous data. Digital twins is used to realize the simulation of low altitude operation and maintenance mechanism, so as to generate intelligent plan, and to build a command and dispatch map. Finally, the integration strategy of low altitude safety corridor and UAS application is explored, including the technological innovation of the combination of low altitude safety corridor operation and UAS application, such as the security strategy in low altitude operation area, the overall operation concept of ground and aerial environment integration, and the relevant laws and regulations. © 2022 IEEE.

The increasing quality of service requirements and demand for satellite services necessitate higher data rates, spectral efficiency, and stability in satellite communication networks. Therefore, this paper investigates the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) assisted satellite communication networks, where multiple users are uniformly distributed over a spherical hat according to the homogeneous Poisson point process (HPPP). Based on the characteristics of HPPP, we analyze the distance distributions of users. To evaluate the performance of the proposed networks, we first derive the closed-form expressions and approximated expressions of the outage probability (OP) for paired NOMA users. To obtain more insights into the proposed networks, the ergodic rate and diversity orders for paired NOMA users are also derived. Spectral efficiency is derived for NOMA and orthogonal multiple access (OMA) assisted satellite communication networks. Our analytical results demonstrate that the diversity order of the proposed networks is all one. Numerical results confirm that: 1) compared to OMA, the proposed NOMA-assisted satellite network demonstrates superior outage performance and spectral efficiency, especially in the higher power regimes;2) fading factors have negligible effects on OP and spectral efficiency;and 3) under certain target rates for both near and far users, the outage performance of far users in NOMA-assisted satellite communication networks is superior to that of near users. © 2024 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.. Vehicle detection in images from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) plays an important role in traffic surveillance and urban planning due to the popularity of UAVs. However, the class imbalance problem is an important factor that restricts the performance of vehicle detectors. There are two types of class imbalance in UAV images, i.e., foreground-background imbalance and foreground-foreground imbalance. For anchor-based single stage detector, as many ground truths cannot be assigned to corresponding anchors because of low intersection over union, it makes the foreground-background imbalance problem more severe. Therefore, we propose a novel bag-based single-stage detector, which treats each position on the feature map as a bag. A simple and adaptive definition of bags is proposed along with the positive sample definition method, which is utilized to ensure more ground truths can be assigned to proper bags. In addition, we utilize online hard example mining method to control the proportion of positive and negative samples during the training process. To address the foreground-foreground imbalance, we propose a novel data augmentation algorithm, which allows us to create appropriate visual context for under-represented class. Extensive experiments demonstrate the superiority of the proposed algorithm, compared with other state-of-the-art solutions. Impact Statement-Recently, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are widely used in intelligent transportation due to their low price and high flexibility, which makes vehicle detection in UAV images important for automatically gathering of traffic information. High-temperature solid oxide cell (SOC) technology is a promising solution for peak shaving and valley filling in intermittent renewable energy microgrids due to its high efficiency and reversibility. Energy conversion is typically done in units of one charge/discharge cycle;however, a precise definition of the SOC system efficiency in continuous switching cycles has not yet been found, particularly lacking unrestricted quantification of reversible efficiency and mode scheduling optimization. This paper proposes, for the first time, the concept of generalized reversible efficiency (GRT) for SOC systems, along with a novel deconstruction and quantification strategy to solve the optimal GRT of such systems over an entire cycle. Specifically, the switching efficiency analysis is based on an energy-flow model of the reversible SOC system, which incorporates a secondary heat recovery process. An algorithmic strategy consisting of an improved decomposition-based multi-objective differential evolution algorithm is designed to optimize GRT under multiple constraints. Results indicate that GRT can be converted into cycle P2G2P (Power to Gas to Power) in any direction. The global maximum GRT is around 60.4%, occurring at the lower point of the medium capacity (denoted as γ, γ≈ 160). The optimal GRT decreases with increasing γ, exhibits a trade-off with the discharge efficiency, and is affected by thermal dissipation and internal energy losses, especially during discharge. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

In the process of smart city construction, each city has its characteristics, so we should implement policies according to the city. Smart energy is an important cornerstone of smart city construction. This paper proposes a mapping method between smart energy and Intelligent Sensing Terminal. Firstly, a typical application scenario design of the smart city is proposed. Then, the smart city application scenario fitness calculation model is given combined with the analysis of macro and micro scenes. Finally, Intelligent Sensing Terminal and scene mapping mechanism are proposed by a new two-dimensional coding method. This method can quickly and effectively calculate the location to be arranged and the optimal number of devices, so as to reduce resource consumption and improve the quality of perceived data. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper establishes theoretical circuit and electrostatic current multi-physical field simulation models for a typical comb capacitor fabricated with silicon-on-insulation. The influence of related electrical parameters and conditions on equivalent capacitance is revealed by analytical solution and simulation, and several methods are proposed to suppress the interference of parasitic capacitance on ideal capacitance, such as high-resistivity substrate Si, relatively high-frequency excitation, and grounded substrate Si. The models and methods proposed in this paper can provide theoretical guidance for the design and suppression of parasitic capacitance of MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical System) capacitive sensors.
