This paper proposes a relay satellite assisted low earth orbit (LEO) constellation non-orthogonal multiple access combined beamforming (R-NOMA-BF) communication system, where multiple antenna LEO satellites deliver information to ground non-orthogonal users. To measure the service quality, we formulate a resource allocation problem to minimize the second-order difference between the achievable capacity and user request traffic. Based on the above problem, joint optimization for LEO satellite-cell assignment factor, NOMA power and BF vector is taken into account. The optimization variables are analyzed with respect to feasibility and non-convexity. Additionally, we provide a pair of effective algorithms, i.e., doppler shift LEO satellite-cell assisted monotonic programming of NOMA with BF vector (D-mNOMA-BF) and ant colony pathfinding based NOMA exponential cone programming with BF vector (A-eNOMA-BF). Two compromise algorithms regarding the above are also presented. Numerical results show that: 1) D-mNOMA-BF and A-eNOMA-BF algorithms are superior to that of orthogonal multiple access based BF (OMA-BF) and polarization multiplexing schemes;2) With the increasing number of antennas and single satellite power, R-NOMA-BF system is able to expand users satisfaction;and 3) By comparing various imperfect successive interference cancellation, the performance of A-mNOMA-BF algorithm exceeds D-mNOMA-BF. Micro-assembly is an emerging method to fabricate microrobots with multiple modules or particles. However, there is always a lack of a flexible and efficient method to freely create the desired magnetic soft microrobots. In this paper, an automated assembly system based on a two-fingered microhand is presented for fabricating magnetic soft microrobots. Our proposed system can automatically pick and place components to assemble microrobots with a two-fingered micromanipulator, and orient these components through an external magnetic field. The automated assembly has the advantages of high accuracy, high speed, and high success rate. It can endow magnetic microrobots with flexible material selection, arbitrary geometry design, and programable magnetization profile. We can make full use of this system to fabricate multiple magnetic soft microrobots. The experiment results demonstrate that this system can efficiently fabricate microrobots with excellent mechanical properties, which have application potential in robotics, biomedical engineering, and environmental governance.

IR2Net: Information Restriction and Information Recovery for Accurate Binary Neural Networks

Weight and activation binarization can efficiently compress deep neural networks and accelerate model inference, but cause severe accuracy degradation. Existing optimization methods for binary neural networks (BNNs) focus on fitting full-precision networks to reduce quantization errors, and suffer from the trade-off between accuracy and computational complexity. In contrast, considering the limited learning ability and information loss caused by the limited representational capability of BNNs, we propose IR2Net to stimulate the potential of BNNs and improve the network accuracy by restricting the input information and recovering the feature information, including: 1) information restriction: for a BNN, by evaluating the learning ability on the input information, discarding some of the information it cannot focus on, and limiting the amount of input information to match its learning ability;2) information recovery: due to the information loss in forward propagation, the output feature information of the network is not enough to support accurate classification. By selecting some shallow feature maps with richer information, and fusing them with the final feature maps to recover the feature information. In addition, the computational cost is reduced by streamlining the information recovery method to strike a better trade-off between accuracy and efficiency. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach still achieves comparable accuracy even with ∼10x floating-point operations (FLOPs) reduction for ResNet-18. The energy market encompasses the behavior of energy supply and trading within a platform system. By utilizing centralized or distributed trading, energy can be effectively managed and distributed across different regions, thereby achieving market equilibrium and satisfying both producers and consumers. Additionally, the energy market can address future production control and environmental concerns such as energy shortages and environmental deterioration. However, recent years have presented unprecedented challenges and difficulties for the development of the energy market. These challenges include regional energy imbalances, volatile energy pricing, high computing costs, and issues related to transaction information disclosure. These factors have hindered the smooth operation of the energy market. Researchers widely acknowledge that the security features of blockchain technology can enhance the efficiency of energy transactions and establish the fundamental stability and robustness of the energy market. This type of blockchain-enabled energy market is commonly referred to as an energy blockchain. Currently, there is a burgeoning amount of research in this field, encompassing algorithm design, framework construction, and practical application. It is crucial to organize and compare these research efforts to facilitate the further advancement of energy blockchain. This survey aims to comprehensively review the fundamental characteristics of blockchain and energy markets, highlighting the significant advantages of combining the two. Moreover, based on existing research outcomes, we will categorize and compare the current energy market research supported by blockchain in terms of algorithm design, market framework construction, and the policies and practical applications adopted by different countries. Finally, we will address current issues and propose potential future directions for improvement, to provide guidance for the practical implementation of blockchain in the

The uncertainty of wireless communication seriously affects the control performance of the platoon. In this paper, a model predictive control (MPC) method based on dynamic event-triggering is proposed to address the impact of non-ideal communications on multi-vehicle systems. Firstly, a hierarchical platoon architecture combining backbone layer and sub-platoon layers is proposed to achieve efficient coordination among multiple platoons, and a communication-aware control mechanism is designed for each vehicle to effectively mitigate the adverse effects of non-ideal communication scenarios. Secondly, a dynamic event-triggering mechanism is established for each vehicle, which is related to time-varying delay and random packet loss parameters, so as to effectively reduce the frequency of MPC solutions and data transmission. Additionally, based on different communication topologies, distributed model predictive controllers are suggested for backbone layer and sub-platoon layer to achieve precise and comfortable tracking. Then, sufficient conditions are provided to ensure the recursive feasibility of the MPC algorithm and the stability of the platoon system. Finally, extensive simulations are conducted, and the results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in terms of control performance and low computational complexity under non-ideal communication conditions. © 2014 IEEE.

Prussian blue analogs (PBAs) are promising catalysts in heterogeneous oxidation processes. The catalytic activity of PBAs relies on exposed crystal facets and accessible active sites on the PBA framework. Employing a heteroatom doping strategy using a rare earth element (La), we regulated the crystal structure and optimized the catalytic activity of CoFe PBA for peroxymonosulfate (PMS)-driven degradation of the antibiotic norfloxacin (NOR). The La atoms were mainly doped in the interstitial sites of the CoFe PBA cubic lattices, without affecting the electron distributions of Co and Fe metals or the face-centered cubic crystal phase of the coordination skeleton. La doping dominated the (111) and (100) as the main exposed facets of CoFeLa PBA, increasing the affinity of CoFeLa PBAs for PMS adsorption due to the higher surface energy of the two facets. Consequently, the activation energy considerably declined from 77.57 kJ/mol in CoFe PBA to 51.66 kJ/mol in CoFeLa PBA and the catalytic activity for PMS-driven NOR degradation was largely improved. 1O2 was proven as the main reactive specie responsible for NOR degradation in the PMS/CoFeLa system, and O2·− and SO4·− were verified as the important intermediates to generate 1O2. Thus, La doping can effectively enhance the catalytic performance of PBA-based catalysts for organic pollutant removal. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Aiming at the existing problems of BCI (brain computer interface), such as single input signal source, low accuracy of feature recognition, and less output control instructions, this paper proposes a robotic arm control system based on EEG (electroencephalogram) and EMG (electromyogram) mixed signals. The system flow is as follows: Firstly, the EMG signal of the unilateral arm and the EEG signal of the left and right hand motor imagery is collected synchronously. Then the collected EEG and EMG signals are extracted and classified, and the corresponding classification instructions are obtained. Finally, the multi-instruction real-time control of the robotic arm is realized under the classification instruction. The experimental verification results show that: The 10 subjects all realized the real-time multicommand control of the robotic arm, and the average recognition accuracy of each action reached more than 94%. The proposed system enriches the diversity of hybrid BCI and provides a theoretical basis and application foundation for the extended application of BCI in robotic arm control. © 2021, CC BY.

FGF3D: A Point Cloud 3D Object Detection Algorithm Based on Fine-Grained Feature Fusion

In the existing two-stage point cloud 3D object detection task, there are problems such as the lack of fine-grained and insufficient sparsity of point cloud features extracted by the backbone network, the lack of spatial-channel fine-grained fusion of bird-eye-view (BEV) features, and the lack of multi-dimensional representation of ROI pooling features. We innovatively propose a new two-stage algorithm based on fine-grained feature fusion, called FGF3D. We construct a sparsegrained aggregation network (SGANet) to elevate the representation of point cloud features. Furthermore, we innovatively propose a spatial-channel fine-grained fusion module (SCFFM) to enrich BEV features and efficiently extract fine-grained features. Further, we propose a global-local feature pooling fusion module (GLFP), which effectively fuses local detail object features and global features, enhances multi-dimensional representations, and facilitates the refined regression of proposal boxes. Without bells and whistles, FGF3D attains excellent performance on two autonomous driving benchmarks, with detection accuracies of up to 64.10% on KITTI, 57.82% on ONCE. © 2025 IEEE. This paper proposes an energy buffer aided cooperative wireless-powered non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system, which includes a base station (BS), a near user (NU), and a far user (FU). To consider a more general case and improve the system performance as much as possible, both the NU and FU are equipped with energy buffers. Two different energy management policies are considered at the NU and FU, namely the best-effort policy (BEP) and on-off policy (OOP). In the proposed system, the NU and FU first collect and store radio frequency based energy from the BS. Then, the FU uses the stored energy to transmit its signal to both the BS and NU. The NU decodes the received signal from the FU and uses the stored energy to transmit the superimposed signal that consists of its own signal and the decoded FU signal to the BS. The outage probability and throughput expressions of the proposed system with BEP and OOP are derived over Rayleigh fading channels. Results reveal that the proposed system can significantly improve the performance of FU compared to the energy buffer aided non-cooperative wireless-powered NOMA system, and can outperform the buffer-less cooperative wireless-powered NOMA system. © 2017 IEEE.

Secrecy Performance Analysis of Multi-Functional RIS-Assisted NOMA Networks

Although reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) can improve the secrecy communication performance of wireless users, it still faces challenges such as limited coverage and double-fading effect. To address these issues, in this paper, we utilize a novel multi-functional RIS (MF-RIS) to enhance the secrecy performance of wireless users, and investigate the physical layer secrecy problem in non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks. Specifically, we derive the secrecy outage probability (SOP) and secrecy throughput expressions of users in MF-RIS-assisted NOMA networks with external and internal eavesdroppers. The asymptotic expressions for SOP and secrecy diversity order are also analyzed under high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) conditions. Additionally, we examine the impact of receiver hardware limitations and error transmission-induced imperfect successive interference cancellation (SIC) on the secrecy performance. Numerical results indicate that: i) under the same power budget, the secrecy performance achieved by MF-RIS significantly outperforms active RIS and simultaneously transmitting and reflecting RIS;ii) with increasing power budget, residual interference caused by imperfect SIC surpasses thermal noise as the primary factor affecting secrecy capacity;and iii) deploying additional elements at the MF-RIS brings significant secrecy enhancements for the external eavesdropping scenario, in contrast to the internal eavesdropping case.
