Dynamic Layered Clustering Routing Protocol Based on Hybrid-Optimized Neural Networks for UWSNs

To address the limitations of traditional flat routing in large-scale Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs), and to tackle challenges such as long delays, low bandwidth, and high error rates encountered by sensor nodes in underwater environments, this paper proposes a dynamic layered clustering routing protocol based on a hybrid optimized backpropagation neural network (PSB-NN), referred to as PSBDR. The protocol introduces non-uniform vertical layering of the network based on water depth and assigns different communication and sensing radii to nodes according to their initial layer. A trained hierarchical prediction model dynamically adjusts the virtual layer assignments of nodes throughout the network's operation. Additionally, a method is implemented for isolated nodes to join clusters via relay nodes, and a priority mechanism, along with a dynamic weight update strategy, is employed to select the optimal next hop during routing. This protocol effectively balances the workload across nodes at varying depths and maximizes the utilization of residual energy in the nodes, contributing to an extending network lifetime. Simulation results demonstrate that PSBDR enhances network performance by improving load balancing, prolonging network longevity, reducing end-to-end delay, and increasing data collection reliability. © 2014 IEEE.

Effect of applied electric fields on supralinear dendritic integration of interneuron

Evidences show that electric fields(EFs)induced by the magnetic stimulation could modulates brain activities by regulating the excitability of GABAergic ***,it is still unclear how and why the EF-induced polarization affects the interneuron response as the interneuron receives NMDA synaptic *** the key role of NMDA receptor-mediated supralinear dendritic integration in neuronal computations,we suppose that the applied EFs could functionally modulate interneurons’response via regulating dendritic *** first,we build a simplified multi-dendritic circuit model with inhomogeneous extracellular potentials,which characterizes the relationship among EF-induced spatial polarizations,dendritic integration,and somatic *** performing model-based singular perturbation analysis,it is found that the equilibrium point of fast subsystem can be used to asymptotically depict the subthreshold input–output(sI/O)relationship of dendritic *** predicted that EF-induced strong depolarizations on the distal dendrites reduce the dendritic saturation output by reducing driving force of synaptic input,and it shifts the steep change of sI/O curve left by reducing stimulation threshold of triggering NMDA ***,the EF modulation prefers the global dendritic integration with asymmetric scatter distribution of NMDA ***,we identify the respective contribution of EF-regulated dendritic integration and EF-induced somatic polarization to an action potential generation and find that they have an antagonistic effect on AP generation due to the varied NMDA spike threshold under EF stimulation.

In this study, an enhanced method and system for hyperspectral image classification are presented, based on deep cross-scene few-shot learning. This pertains to the domain of remote sensing image processing technology and addresses the prevalent issues of inadequate classification performance in existing techniques for hyperspectral image categorization. The core aspects of this invention encompass the following: utilization of two mapping layers to standardize the input dimensions between the source and target domains;the deployment of an embedded feature extractor to incorporate the image cubes from both the source and target domains into a space-spectral embedding environment simultaneously, ensuring that like samples are closely aligned and dissimilar ones are distanced. Through gauging the distances between each class of unlabeled and labeled samples in this space-spectral embedding zone, learning with a few number of examples in both the source and target domains is achieved. Furthermore, a conditional domain discriminator is employed to mitigate domain shifts between domains, thus solidifying the domain stability of the extracted spatial-spectral embedding features. This innovative approach allows for high-precision hyperspectral data categorization, even when only a few examples are available. © 2023 ACM.

With China’s booming economy, agricultural modernization has become an unstoppable trend. In order to solve the problem of real-time detection of multiple kinds of fruits, a real-time detection system of multiple kinds of fruits based on Raspberry Pi was developed. We trained the YOLOv5 network on a homemade multi-species fruit dataset. In the end, it not only realized the recognition of various types of fruits but also was able to output their location coordinates in the image. At the same time, we used the edge computing device Intel Neural Compute Stick 2 to realize the feed-forward inference operation on the neural network, so that the problem of low frame rate, when the Raspberry Pi performs real-time detection on a variety of fruits, is solved. In the real scenario, the real-time fruit detection model based on YOLOv5s network can effectively achieve the target detection of multiple types of fruits with 99.86% detection mAP, 99.93% testing accuracy and 10.37 FPS average real-time fruit detection frame rate. The system has many advantages, such as high accuracy, good robustness, fast calculation speed, etc. In addition, the embedded system can be further extended to realize the development of many intelligent products related to fruit recognition, such as intelligent fruit-sacking robots. Therefore, it can be concluded that the real-time detection system of multi-species fruits based on Raspberry Pi is helpful to improve the efficiency of farming, and the product can contribute to the modernization of agriculture in China. © 2023 SPIE.

Electromagnetic current transformer is one of the important pieces of equipment used in AC power system measurement. Due to continuous improvement of current level to be measured in the power system, ordinary single-loop magnetic core structure cannot meet industrial needs of wide measuring range with high accuracy, while it even has a magnetic saturation problem when measured current is reaching the limit. Most existing methods expand measuring range and increase antisaturation ability of the magnetic core by either opening an air gap in the magnetic core or increasing number of turns of primary and secondary windings, but it will bring additional problems such as volume and heat dissipation of the transformer. To solve such issues, in this paper, we proposed a magnetic core structure of double-loop current transformer based on incomplete magnetic field cancellation principle. Calculation formula of air gap size and theoretical error are analyzed. We provide a theo-retical analysis of working characteristics, amplitude error and phase error throughout a three-dimensional simulation model of transformer. In addition, we evaluate performance through a series of comparison experiments. Results demonstrate our double-loop current transformer can maintain good linear relationship between primary and secondary current while ensuring measurement accuracy at 0.2 level. With the same volume, it has a wider range of rated current measurements and a certain anti-saturation ability.

This paper addresses the challenge of reliability evaluation for small-sample and zero-failure data by introducing a method that integrates Bayesian theory with curve fitting. Initially, we employ the moment-entropy normalization method to determine the hyperparameters of the Beta distribution. This approach incorporates data from similar products, effectively overcoming the limitations posed by small sample sizes. Next, we use a Bayesian method to merge data from similar products with the current product data. By treating the likelihood function as binomial with zero failures, we accurately estimate parameters and improve the precision of reliability assessments. This enables us to obtain point estimates of failure probabilities at different time points and determine the upper confidence limits of failure probabilities at a given confidence level. Furthermore, we introduce the Weibull distribution as a life distribution model and apply curve fitting to estimate the Weibull parameters and their lower confidence limits, further enhancing the robustness of our reliability estimates. Finally, the proposed Bayesian method demonstrates strong practical applicability in case studies, providing valuable insights for the design and testing of reliable products. © 2024 IEEE.

Segmented Real-time Dispatch Model and Stochastic Robust Optimization for Power-gas Integrated Systems with Wind Power Uncertainty

This paper develops a segmented real-time dispatch model for power-gas integrated systems(PGISs), where power-to-gas(P2G) devices and traditional automatic generation control units are cooperated to manage wind power uncertainty. To improve the economics of the real-time dispatch in regard to the current high operation cost of P2Gs, the wind power uncertainty set is divided into several segments, and a segmented linear decision rule is developed, which assigns adjustment tasks differently when wind power uncertainty falls into different segments. Thus, the P2G operation with high costs can be reduced in real-time adjustment. Besides, a novel segmented stochastic robust optimization is proposed to improve the efficiency and robustness of PGIS dispatch under wind power uncertainty, which minimizes the expected cost under the empirical wind power distribution and builds up the security constraints based on the robust optimization. The expected cost is formulated using a Nataf conversion-based multi-point estimate method, and the optimal number of estimate points is determined through sensitivity analysis. Furthermore, a difference-ofconvex optimization with a partial relaxation rule is developed to solve the non-convex dispatch problem in a sequential optimization framework. Numerical simulations in two testing cases validate the effectiveness of the proposed model and solving method.

This paper discusses the data-driven design of linear quadratic regulators,i.e.,to obtain the regulators directly from experimental data without using the models of *** particular,we aim to improve an existing design method by reducing the amount of the required experimental *** the data amount leads to the cost reduction of experiments and computation for the data-driven *** present a simplified version of the existing method,where parameters yielding the gain of the regulator are estimated from only part of the data required in the existing *** then show that the data amount required in the presented method is less than half of that in the existing method under certain *** addition,assuming the presence of measurement noise,we analyze the relations between the expectations and variances of the estimated parameters and the *** a result,it is shown that using a larger amount of the experimental data might mitigate the effects of the noise on the estimated *** results are verified by numerical examples.

Frequency-using systems have become a hot research topic in various countries, and marine frequency-using systems are one of the typical systems. To accurately assess the reliability of the frequency-using system, this paper will take the marine frequency-using system as the research object, the regular area patrol as the mission, and the electromagnetic environment as the research background to carry out the reliability research. Firstly, the multistate system theory was introduced into the frequency-using system in the electromagnetic environment, and the multiple states of frequency-using equipment were effectively classified. Secondly, the state transfer matrix accurately described the influence of the electromagnetic environment on the state transfer process of frequency-using equipment. Then, the frequency-using equipment and system reliability modeling was established based on the state transfer matrix in the electromagnetic environment. Finally, the reliability model is validated using engineering arithmetic examples, and multidimensional analysis and suggestions are made for the results of the system. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
