Cognitive Radio (CR) helps to allocate the available Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum of an essential (authorized) client and an auxiliary client. In the cognitive radio technology also known as Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA), secondary clients may take advantage of the numerous spectrum gaps in allowed spectrum groups. This research study presents a review on signal processing techniques used for performing spectrum detection in CR networks, with the aim of enabling unlicensed auxiliary clients to adjust their transmission boundaries to the RF environment while considering the necessities of including authorized clients. This study distinguishes five fundamental groups of signal processing algorithms to perform spectrum sensing and present the dynamic spectrum sharing models for spectrum access. Furthermore, this study contrasts the advantages and disadvantages of each technique when applied to system administration frameworks, these solutions are evaluated by using metrics, such as the speed with which they may investigate spectrum consumption and its influence in system administration effectiveness. Signal processing and identification approaches for performing spectrum detection in cognitive radio networks are also investigated along with its current progressive phase, research flow issues, and future objectives.

This paper investigates the scheduling problem of a fleet of electric vehicles, providing mobility as a service to a set of time-specified customers, where the operator needs to solve the routing and charging problem jointly for each EV. Hereby we consider incentive-aware customers and propose that the operator offers monetary incentives to customers in exchange for time flexibility. In this way, the fleet operator can achieve a routing and charging schedule with lower costs, whilst the customers receive monetary compensation for their flexibility. Specifically, we first propose a bi-level optimization model whereby the fleet operator optimizes the routing and charging schedule accounting for the spatio-temporal varying charging price, jointly with a monetary incentive to reimburse the delivery time flexibility experienced by the customers. Concurrently the customers choose their own time flexibility by minimizing their own cost. Second, we cope with the computational burden coming from this nonlinear bi-level optimization model with an accurate reformulation approach consisting of the KKT optimality conditions, a Big-M-based linearization method, and the zero duality gap of convex optimization problems. This way, we convert the proposed problem into a single-level optimization problem, which can be solved by a strengthened generalized Benders decomposition method holding a faster convergence rate than the generalized Benders decomposition method. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed mathematical model, we carry out numerous simulation experiments by using the VRP-REP data of Belgium. The numerical results showcase that the proposed mathematical model can reduce the delivery fees for the customers together with the cost of operation incurred by the fleet operator. © 2022, The Authors. Partial shadowing of a solar array is known to decrease the array's output power. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to calculate the exact degree of decrease in energy output from the darkened region alone. In this study, the process of partial PV shadowing on multiple PV cells by using IoT wired in series and/or parallel, with and without bypass diodes, is elucidated. A layperson interested in learning how a certain shading geometry affects a PV system may benefit from this study, which is provided in clear language. Commercial 100 W panel and 10 kW PV array data are used to show the study.

This article proposes a performance-measure based design of a serial link robot manipulator, addressing the effects of dimensional uncertainties on the performance so that a specific task can be accomplished. The design problem is formulated as a constrained optimization problem, where the design variables and constraints are defined in intervals. The objective function being optimized, incorporates some chosen manipulator performance measures (obtained from literature) which include global manipulability, global conditioning index and dynamic manipulability, such that both geometric and inertial properties are covered and the solution will provide not only nominal values of the design parameters, but also a kind of tolerance, ensuring the values of the design variables lying within a range. This co-design of nominal values and its tolerance is obtained by casting the whole problem using interval techniques. The design problem is solved in the two-step process. Firstly, link lengths are determined through maximizing global manipulability and global conditioning index and secondly, inertial properties, in terms of cross-sectional geometry are determined through maximizing global dynamic manipulability. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method an exemplar problem of the design of two-link two degrees-of-freedom planar manipulator under gravity and with payload is considered.

A serious risk to genuine organization demands is a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack. The main DDoS attack was archived in 1996, however, from that point forward, their intricacy and refinement have consistently expanded. A 2 TBps attack on a crucial foundation, including the monetary area, was accounted for in August 2020 during the Coronavirus pandemic. In the accompanying two years, it is anticipated that the number of attacks would twofold, stretching around 15 million. Since its beginning, many relief plans have been made, however, the intricacy is rising, requiring modern arrangements in view of new innovation. A potential and common-sense method for DDoS relief is blockchain. To handle the detrimental effects brought by leakage of radioactive gases at nuclear power station, we propose a bus based evacuation optimization problem. The proposed model incorporates the following four constraints, 1) the maximum dose of radiation per evacuee, 2) the limitation of bus capacity, 3) the number of evacuees at demand node（bus pickup stop）,4) evacuees balance at demand and shelter nodes, which is formulated as a mixed integer nonlinear programming（MINLP）problem. Then, to eliminate the difficulties of choosing a proper M value in Big-M method, a Big-M free method is employed to linearize the nonlinear terms of the MINLP problem. Finally, the resultant mixed integer linear program（MILP） problem is solvable with efficient commercial solvers such as CPLEX or Gurobi, which guarantees the optimal evacuation plan *** evaluate the effectiveness of proposed evacuation model, we test our model on two different scenarios（a random one and a practical scenario）. For both scenarios, our model attains executable evacuation plan within given 3600 seconds computation time.

In this paper a unique algorithm is proposed for optimal path planning of a robot end-effector in a constrained space with static obstacle. The algorithm for the optimal cubic spline corresponding to the reference/desired joint trajectory is obtained using a convex optimization based algorithm. For optimization L 2 / L ∞ norm based cost functions are considered and the continuity of the velocity and the acceleration of the robot in joint space at each and every boundary point is taken as the constraint. Finally, the proposed algorithm is developed using MATLAB CVX and is applied for path planning of the end-effector of a SCARA, in presence of circular obstacle in its workspace. Simulation results are presented to have validation of the proposed algorithm.
