In this paper, we generalize the notion of cyclic metric to homogeneous Finsler geometry. Firstly, we prove that a homogeneous Finsler space (G/H, F) must be symmetric when it satisfies the naturally reductive and cyclic conditions simultaneously. Then we prove that a Finsler cyclic Lie group which is either flat or nilpotent must have an Abelian Lie algebra. Finally, we show how to induce a cyclic (α, β) metric from a cyclic Riemannian metric. Using this method, we construct a Randers cyclic Lie group. While traditional electromagnetic stealth materials/metasurfaces can render a target virtually invisible to some extent, they lack flexibility and adaptability, and can only operate within a limited frequency and angle range, making it challenging to ensure the expected stealth performance. In view of this, we propose in this paper a new intelligent reflecting surface (IRS)-aided electromagnetic stealth system mounted on targets to evade radar detection, by utilizing the tunable passive reflecting elements of IRS to achieve flexible and adaptive electromagnetic stealth in a cost-effective manner. Specifically, we optimize the IRS's reflection at the target to minimize the sum received signal power of all adversary radars. We first address the IRS's reflection optimization problem using the Lagrange multiplier method and derive a semi-closed-form optimal solution. To meet real-time processing requirements, we further propose a low-complexity closed-form solution based on the minimum mean-square error (MMSE) principle. Simulation results validate the performance advantages of our proposed IRS-aided electromagnetic stealth system with the proposed IRS reflection designs.

In the era of Industrial 4.0, power safety is essential to industrial production. The trees growing around the transmission network threaten the security of electric power, while the traditional cleaning methods are inefficient and provide poor security. In this paper, a kind of aerial robot that can be used to clean up trees is designed and implemented. For tree-cleaning, the dynamic model of the robot and the unified mechanical model of contact with trees are established based on the extended Lagrangian method. Then, the wrench observer is designed through this mechanical model, and the robot's control system is created by combining the observer with the auto-disturbance rejection control method. The experimental results show the method is feasible and can efficiently carry out the tree-cleaning operation. © 2023 IEEE.

Variable selection for genome-wide association studies (GWAS) has been a major research focus for decades. With the exponential growth of biological and biomedical data in the era of big data, scientists are confronted with the challenge of extracting meaningful information from vast datasets while managing the inherent heterogeneity in bioinformatics. To date, there are no highly effective tools that support high-dimensional datasets and achieve robust variable selection performance, all while accounting for the non-i.i.d. features and structured relatedness among explanatory and response *** address these challenges, we introduce the first high-performance computing framework for variable selection in GWAS. Our framework integrates various state-of-the-art methods, allowing researchers to easily combine different techniques and fully explore their potential. Additionally, our approach employs novel optimization strategies to solve the problem efficiently, even for high-dimensional data with sparse characteristics. By processing the data holistically, the framework delivers comprehensive analysis and accurate linkage mapping associations. Designed for ease of use, the framework is implemented in Python and offers seamless deployment, making it accessible to a wide range of researchers. © 2024 IEEE.

Introducing magnetic order into topological insulator（TI） to break the time-reversal symmetry can yield numerous fascinating physical phenomena,which brings new hope for the emerging spintronic *** proximity effect is regarded as a promising strategy that could advance the step for realistic application by choosing a suitable ferromagnetic layer with the merits of high Curie temperature and high compatibility with mainstream semiconductor ***,we prepare a Bi2Se3thin film on Sicompatible ferromagnetic semiconductor（FMS） of MnxGe1-xby molecular beam *** integration,the nonmagnetic Bi2Se3exhibits an anomalous Hall signal and a clear weak localization cusp in magnetoresistance until 150 K,confirming that a high-temperature magnetism can be induced by the proximity *** investigation of the magnetoconductance quantitatively indicates that the Bi2Se3conductance suffers a transition from weak antilocalization to weak localization behavior after integrating with MnxGe1-x,and an 80 meV bandgap is predicted to be opened in the surface states in Bi2Se3layer due to the proximityinduced *** results prove that the proximity effect could be an important method to achieve topological magnetism at high temperatures,and reveals its potential for the manipulation of the topological surface states.

Due to the complexity in practical environment, there are a variety of interference resulting in inaccurate information which will directly affect the final result of data fusion. In the era of big data, as the number of fusing information sources increases, even if they are consistent, conflicts may arise. However, classical Dempster combination rule in Dempster Shafer evidence theory (D-S theory) cannot solve the problem of conflict data fusion. Therefore, an improved method is proposed for conflict data fusion by assigning a base belief to each piece of evidence. In this paper, the base belief function is used to construct the initial belief degree firstly. Then, the belief entropy is calculated to get the information volume of each evidence. Dempster combination rule is used to get the final result after evidence modification, which can help solve conflict data fusion better. Numerical examples and experiments are used to verity the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

This paper presents a neural architecture search scheme for chip layout hotspot detection. In this work, hotspot detectors, in the form of neural networks, are modeled as weighted directed acyclic graphs. A variational autoencoder maps the discrete graph topological space into a continuous embedding space. Bayesian Optimization performs neural architecture search in this embedding space, where an architecture performance predictor is employed to accelerate the search process. Experimental studies on ICCAD 2012 and ICCAD 2019 Contest benchmarks demonstrate that, the proposed scheme significantly improves the agility of previous neural architecture search schemes, and generates hotspot detectors with competitive detection accuracy, false alarm rate, and inference time.

With the prosperity of mobile communications, Cell-ID (the unique identifier of a base station) trajectory mining has become popular. To predict locations of base stations (BS) with Cell-ID trajectories and enhance the application of machine learning on Cell-ID trajectory mining, it is essential to learn representations of BSs. Existing methods primarily concentrate on the spatial correlations, which only reflect topological structural relations of BSs, and limit the capability for modeling the BS's representation. To address this issue, we attempt to leverage an unsupervised deep graph embedding technique to learn the representation for large-scale BSs, namely BS2Vec. It incorporates spatial attributes and correlations by developing a variational graph auto encoder with the attention mechanism. The spatial attributes such as vague addresses and Location Area Codes (LAC) imply the coarse-grain location information of BSs, which can significantly enhance the model's ability. To validate BS2Vec, we design a location evaluation task to predict Cell-ID locations merely with Cell-ID trajectories. Experiments on real-world datasets demonstrate the performance gain compared to shallow graph embedding methods. Moreover, it improves the trajectory prediction accuracy from 0.76 to 0.83 compared to the state-of-the-art Cell-ID embedding method.11These authors contributed to the work equally and should be regarded as co-first authors. © 2022 IEEE.

With ever-increasing design complexity and stringent time-to-market pressure, automated topology synthesis tools for operational amplifiers are required to produce designs meeting different specifications. This paper proposes TOTAL, a reinforcement learning-based topology optimization method for operational amplifiers. We decompose the circuit topology design as a Markov decision process to solve the high dimensionality of the design space, with the three-stage cascode paradigm fixed to avoid meaningless structures. Therefore, starting from a basic behavior-level topology, an agent modifies the circuit step by step. Specifically, this agent mainly adopts a graph neural network to understand each design state, including specifications and the design history, and a convolutional neural network to modify the current topology. Every completed circuit is then simulated and evaluated by a customized reward function to guide the agent in finding qualified circuits, among which only the optimal one ever recorded is mapped to the transistor level for further evaluation. Experimental results show that the trained agent can not only generate high-performance circuits, but also be reusable by transferring to other specifications as a pre-trained model and achieving competitive results.

Upconversion (UC) fluorescence intensity ratio (FIR) technology has emerged as a promising approach for optical thermometry due to its ability to provide non-contact, high-precision temperature measurements. Unlike conventional UC phosphor-based systems, single-crystal UC materials offer enhanced responsiveness and sensitivity for thermal detection, thanks to their structural stability and superior thermal conductivity. In this study, we successfully synthesized an Yb3+, Ho3+:NaBi(MoO4)2 (NBM) single crystal with exceptional optical quality using the Czochralski (Cz) growth technique. Comprehensive structural characterization was carried out using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results confirmed that Yb3+, Ho3+:NBM crystallizes in a tetragonal structure with the space group I41/a. The emission of different visible light colors under various excitation wavelengths was found to be due to the multiphonon relaxation process. Systematic analysis of power-dependent up-conversion emission spectra conclusively showed that the green and red up-conversion emissions arise from two-photon excitation processes. Moreover, temperature-dependent spectral evolution in the range of 300-500 K was quantitatively analyzed, allowing the calculation of both absolute sensitivity (Sa) and relative sensitivity (Sᵣ) parameters to evaluate the material's optical thermometric performance. These findings highlight the promising potential of Yb3+, Ho3+:NBM single crystal for developing high-performance optical thermometry devices. © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.
