In this paper, a new 3D dynamical system with four quadratic nonlinear terms is presented. It is shown that the proposed chaotic system has two saddle-foci, unstable, equilibrium points. Thus, the proposed chaotic system exhibits self-excited chaotic attractors. Dynamical analysis methods such as Lyapunov exponents spectrum, bifurcation diagrams, and phase portraits are used to explore the complex dynamical behaviors of the proposed chaotic system and analyze its basic qualitative properties. It is shown that the maximal Lyapunov exponent (MLE) of the new chaotic system is 7.196, which is a high value. The proposed highly chaotic system exhibits high complexity and it will be very useful for applications in cryptography, encryption and secure communications. The physical feasibility of the proposed system is verified by implementing its electronic circuit schematic using Multisim software. Additionally, a PRNG has been developed using the derived state variables and analyze with NIST-800–22 test. Lastly, we developed a PRNG-based image encryption and employ it for an encryption. The experimental outcomes obtained prove that the 3D chaotic system-based encryption application presented in this section has a very good performance. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) is a wireless technology that utilizes light emitting diodes to convey data. Li-Fi has emerged as a promising alternative to radio frequency communication technology in recent years. This paper examines the performance characterisation between NRZ-OOK and carrier-less amplitude-phase modulation (CAP-2, CAP-4 and CAP-8), within a simulated Li-Fi environment. For the parameters of interest, the eye pattern, bit error rate (BER) and constellation diagram are reported. As no distance is specified in the simulation, the BER for CAP is zero, allowing an ideal transmission to be emulated. The scatter diagram increases as the number of CAP modulations increases. For the eye pattern, CAP modulation provides a better visual representation of how noise might affect system performance compared to OOK modulation. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The Effect of the Orientation Angle of the Small Pipe on the Scour Morphology Surrounding the Piggyback Pipeline

This study employs numerical method to further elucidate the variation of local scour hole surrounding the piggyback pipeline under constant current conditions, considering the installation angle (α) of the small pipe ranging from 180° to 360°. Results reveal that a significant variation in the stagnation point of the main pipeline is observed as α ranges from 0° to 75° and from 315° to 360°, with a peak value occurring at α=60° and a minimum value at α=318°. For α varying from 180°to 360°, the scour hole is smaller than or proximate to that of the single pipe, indicating that positioning the small pipe beneath the center line of the main pipe exerts a certain inhibitory effect on scour. When α changes within range of 0°~360°, the piggyback pipeline exhibits its minimum values for local scour depth and width at α=222°. Under identical conditions, it has been observed that the scour hole resulting from positioning the small pipe above the center line of the primary pipe (α=0°~180°) is larger than when it is situated below (α=180°~360°). Similarly, the scour hole profile of the small pipe positioned upstream of the main pipe (α=270°~360°) exhibits greater dimensions compared to that located downstream (α=180°~270°). © 2023, The Authors. With the emergence of current developments and their devices that allow correspondence between organizations with each other, just as it is between organizations and service providers, just as with their customers, for some reasons, including advertising and a return to what is acceptable to them with the organization. Items, deals, etc., therefore, this examination provides an internal and external investigation of the current web-based business phase with a focus on promising conditions, risks, qualities, and shortcomings of FashionValet's electronic stage, whose administrations offer more than the Internet. Also, FashionValet is a stage organizer for online shopping and style in Southeast Asia other than Poplook, Zalora, and others, and the bulk of them are important competitors to FashionValet and they implement their own systems. The FashionValet experience, for example, is the history of the creator just as the other company's foundation has been pointed out to characterize how organizations, especially FashionValet, have moved from their primary stage to where they are today as the most aggressive design project. In addition, the technologies and innovations used by FashionValet are shown to provide a comprehensive detailed blueprint. To understand the improvement in style organizations in Malaysia, it was examined further. The paper outlines the critical elements to FashionValet's thriving as an end. © 2021 IEEE.

In comparison to conventional book-printed content, electronic "publishing"has allowed users to import files to either a personal computer or an e-book reader to read text in a digital format. Reduced printing costs and reduced time to market by streamlined drafting, proofing, and printing methods are the benefits of the publishing industry over the conventional printed book (p-book). It prevents binding, distribution and shipping. The intent of this paper is to explore the strategic use of e-commerce in the transformation of the publishing industry. The first part of the paper discusses the strategic use of e-commerce/Web-Based Business in the transition from a single distribution channel mass producer of printed books to a multiple distribution channel that will include e-books and print on demand technology in the publishing industry. Emphasis is put on management techniques in the global marketplace for the use of emerging information technologies. The second section of this paper addresses the transfer in competitive influence between the different levels of the supply chain of the publishing industry, including the latest trends in electronic publishing from the stakeholders' point of view. Expected to serve as the base for development within the digitized print industry. As e-publishing becomes popular and moves towards maturity, to allow a "mainstream"status, common standards must emerge and combine. © 2021 IEEE.

Federated Learning (FL) plays a pivotal role in enabling artificial intelligence (AI)-based mobile applications in mobile edge computing (MEC). However, due to the resource heterogeneity among participating mobile users (MUs), delayed updates from slow MUs may deteriorate the learning speed of the MEC-based FL system, commonly referred to as the straggling problem. To tackle the problem, this work proposes a novel privacy-preserving FL framework that utilizes homomorphic encryption (HE) based solutions to enable MUs, particularly resource-constrained MUs, to securely offload part of their training tasks to the cloud server (CS) and mobile edge nodes (MENs). Our framework first develops an efficient method for packing batches of training data into HE ciphertexts to reduce the complexity of HE-encrypted training at the MENs/CS. On that basis, the mobile service provider (MSP) can incentivize straggling MUs to encrypt part of their local datasets that are uploaded to certain MENs or the CS for caching and remote training. However, caching a large amount of encrypted data at the MENs and CS for FL may not only overburden those nodes but also incur a prohibitive cost of remote training, which ultimately reduces the MSP’s overall profit. To optimize the portion of MUs’ data to be encrypted, cached, and trained at the MENs/CS, we formulate an MSP’s profit maximization problem, considering all MUs’ and MENs’ resource capabilities and data handling costs (including encryption, caching, and training) as well as the MSP’s incentive budget. We then show that the problem is convex and can be efficiently solved using an interior point method. Extensive simulations on a real-world human activity recognition dataset show that our proposed framework can achieve much higher model accuracy (improving up to 24.29%) and faster convergence rate (by 2.86 times) than those of the conventional FedAvg approach when the straggling probability varies between 20% and 80%. This research aims to synthesize a biobased polyurethane coating from epoxidized palm oil (EPO) and determine the effect of different silicon dioxide (SiO 2 ) loadings on the hydrophobicity performance of the coating. In this work, EPO was firstly undergoing an acrylation reaction and followed by the addition of isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) to form Polyurethane (PU). Improvement was made by adding SiO 2 at different loadings into the palm oil-based PU to provide hydrophobic properties to the coating materials. The sample was characterized using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), water sliding angle test, and water absorption test. Based on the FTIR results, PU was successfully synthesized from EPO with SiO 2 addition. The results also proved that the addition of SiO 2 successfully improved the hydrophobicity of the coating. The higher the SiO 2 content in palm oil PU, the shorter the time taken for the water to slide down the 25° angle coated glass and lower the water absorption percentage of the coating material. Based on the analysis, 3 phr SiO 2 content showed the highest hydrophobicity performance, which could be applied in further research.

The practice of river quality classification usually uses Water Quality Index (WQI) to evaluate the WQI values of the river. However, due to huge data collection on river pollution with uncertain water quality parameter values, need to a different approach to classify the river quality. One of the supervised classification algorithms known as K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) seems to give new approach for river quality classification where each data points are classified according to the k number or the closest data points neighbors. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to apply different distances and distance-weighted in KNN for finding the most accurate river quality classification. The accuracy results are compared with Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Decision Tree (DT) algorithms. Clean and safe water is vital for our lives and public health. In recent decades, population growth, agriculture, industries, and climate change have worsened freshwater resource depletion and clean water pollution. Several studies have focused on water pollutions risk simulation and prediction in the presence of pollution hotspots. However, the increase and complexity of big data caused by uncertain water quality parameters led to a new efficient algorithm to trace the most accurate pollution hotspots. Therefore, this study proposes to offer different algorithms and comparative studies using Machine Learning (ML) algorithms. Ten different most widely used algorithms, including unsupervised and supervised ML, will be employed to categorize the pollution hotspots for the Terengganu River. Besides, we also validate algorithms' accuracies by improving and changing each parameter in ML algorithms. Our results list all the accurate and efficient ML algorithms for the classification of river pollutions. These results help to facilitate river prediction using efficient and accurate algorithms in various water quality scenario. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

Machine Learning-Assisted to Study the Effect of N:P Ratio on Algae Growth to Forecasting the Bloom with Dielectric Spectroscopy Technique

Real-time online monitoring of algal biomass has emerged as a significant challenge in contemporary marine and freshwater environmental conservation efforts aimed at safeguarding the aquatic ecosystem. Given the pivotal role that algae play in maintaining a delicate balance of nutrients and other environmental factors, the application of a machine learning-assisted dielectric spectroscopy approach represents a novel and intelligent technique for mitigating the current challenges associated with monitoring algal *** work optimized a machine learning -assisted real-time dielectric spectroscopy approach to study the effect of N:P ratios on Desmodesmus sp. growth to forecasting the blooming. As a primary feature, various N:P concentrations (1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 1:2, and 1:3) were utilized to characterize and compare the dielectric (S11(dB) & Ε'') and conventional UV-vis spectroscopy properties (OD686 & Chl-a). The dielectric measurements of S11(dB) & Ε'' are consistent with the OD686 & Chl-a value. Highest Desmodesmus sp. OD686 0.87,0.76 recorded at N:P 3:1,2:1 ratio respectively. The machine learning based PCA and linear regression model were applied and found at 0-8 days incubation time Desmodesmus sp. growth biomass negatively corelated with S11(dB) & Ε" and positively correlatedly with OD686 & Chl-a respectively, where R2 values >0.95. While the measured Ε"& S11(dB) -7.956 &-0.6775, the linear regression model was applied to predicted and forecasting OD686 for 8days and 20days was 0.817, 0.716;2.136,1.926 respectively, at the ratios N:P (3:1) and RMES value were 0.0047 & 0.0319. This analysis revealed that the machine learning- assisted model has high accuracy. Thus, Machine learning-assisted dielectric spectroscopy method could be the potential tools to real-time monitoring the algal cell biomass or forecasting the blooming to control the N:P ratios to protect the aquatic ecosystem. © 2023, The Authors.
