China has been affected by some of the world’s most serious geological disasters and experiences high economic damage every *** occur not only in remote areas but also in highly populated *** the framework of the Dragon-432365 Project,this paper presents the main results and the major conclusions derived from an extensive exploitation of Sentinel-1,ALOS-2(Advanced Land Observing Satellite 2),GF-3(Gao Fen Satellite 3),and latest launched SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar),together with methods that allow the evaluation of their importance for various ***,in the scope of this project,the great benefits of recent remote sensing data(wide spatial and temporal coverage)that allow a detailed reconstruction of past displacement events and to monitor currently occurring phenomena are exploited to study different areas and geohazards problems,including:surface deformation of mountain slopes;identification and monitoring of ground movements and subsidence;landslides;ground fissure;and building inclination *** movements detected in the different study areas were cross validated with different SAR sensors and truth data.

Underwater images contain an interactive mixture of distortions due to the physicochemical property of water and the instability of imaging systems, which differ from those in natural images. We cannot obtain the pristine underwater image as the reference applied in the traditional benchmark databases, and the groups of gradual distortions either. In this paper, a novel preselection based preference label evaluation method is proposed to construct a combined subjective test procedure for an extended preference judgment dataset of underwater images. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first subjective evaluation procedure for underwater images, and also a solution for an expanding visual preference benchmark database. We demonstrate the excellent correlation of the proposed subjective evaluation with the traditional image quality assessment. It is also proven that the proposed subjective evaluation procedure could reflect the slight change of image quality and the authentic quality of a picture more accurately better than the traditional methods. © 2019 IEEE Computer Society. The use of fiber-reinforced vegetable oil - polymer composites has increased in various technical fields. However, the long-term operating performance of these materials is still not well understood, limiting the development of these composites. In this study, the water absorption performance of hybrid composites, which consist of kenaf fiber and glass fiber as reinforcement, epoxy resin and acrylated epoxidized palm oil (AEPO) as a matrix, and montmorillonite (MMT) nano clays as a filler was evaluated with the function of different fibers layering order. The hand lay-up method is used to produce the composites with the variable number of kenaf fibers and glass fibers layer sequences. The water absorption kinetics of epoxy/AEPO reinforced hybrid kenaf/glass fiber-filled MMT composites are described in this paper. It has been observed that the water absorption rate of the composites depends on the fiber layering sequences. The alternative sequence of Glass-Kenaf-Kenaf-Glass and Kenaf-Glass-Kenaf-Glass composites layers exhibited the lowest moisture absorption rates of 7.61% and 7.63%, respectively.

This paper presents a reconfigurable beam dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) at 2.4 GHz by adopting the yagi-uda concept. Rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (RDRA) have been chosen as the radiator and fed by slot aperture. The antenna is designed in Taconic substrate with permittivity of 2.2. Firstly, a single antenna with two different modes is designed and investigated. The best performance mode in term of gain is then used to design the single driven RDRA with two parasitic RDRA, connected with the four RF pin diode BAR50-02V as switch. The analysis of the gap between driven and parasitic element is investigated. Four different types of switch configuration have been carried out to identify the performance of antenna in different cases. Depending on the switch configurations, the designed antenna can achieved highest gain of 7.386 dB and have steering angle capability at - 42°, 42°, - 54° and 54°.

The impact of spatial scale on local Moran's I clustering of annual fishing effort for Dosidicus gigas offshore Peru

The spatial scale(?shing grid) of ?sheries research af fects the observed spatial patterns of?sheries resources such as catch-per-unit-ef fort(CPUE) and ?shing ef fort. We examined the scale impact of high value(HH) clusters of the annual ?shing ef fort for Dosidicus gigas of fshore Peru from 2009 to *** a multi-scale analysis, the original commercial ?shery data were tessellated to twelve spatial scales from 6′ to 72′ with an interval of 6′. Under these spatial scales, D. gigas clusters were identi?ed using the Anselin Local Moran's I. Statistics including the number of points, mean CPUE, standard deviation(SD),skewness, kurtosis, area and centroid were calculated for these HH clusters. We found that the z-score of global Moran's I and the number of points for HH clusters follow a power law scaling relationship from2009 to 2012. The mean ef fort and its SD also follow a power law scaling relationship from 2009 to *** skewness follows a linear scaling relationship in 2010 and 2011 but ?uctuates with spatial scale in2009 and 2012; kurtosis follows a logarithmic scale relationship in 2009, 2011 and 2012 but a linear scale relationship in 2010. Cluster area follows a power law scaling relationship in 2010 and 2012, a linear scaling relationship in 2009, and a quadratic scaling relationship in 2011. Based on the peaks of Moran's I indices and the multi-scale analysis, we conclude that the optimum scales are 12′ in 2009 ? 2011 and 6′ in 2012, while the coarsest allowable scales are 48′ in 2009, 2010 and 2012, and 60′ in 2011. Our research provides the best spatial scales for conducting spatial analysis of this pelagic species, and provides a better understanding of scaling behavior for the ?shing ef fort of D. gigas in the of fshore Peruvian waters.

As a new one of underwater wireless data exchange families, full-duplex cognitive underwater acoustic communications (FDCUACs) play an important role not only for improving the performance of the underwater acoustic communications, but also for protecting the normal communications among the halobios simultaneously, which has been attracted widely attention and deeply research. Since the configuration on multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) is employed in the FDCUACs, it has the potential to improve the performance such as channel capacity, interference cancellation based on beamforming, and spectrum sensing according to transmitted direction significantly. However, there are some costs such as how to overcome the co-channel interference, how to synchronize all channels, and how to provide simple detection. In order to stimulate new research, this paper first reviews the benefits, then discusses the costs, and presents a benefit-cost analysis for the MIMO configuration deployed in the FDCUACs. Based on the above overview, the paper is also concluded by outlining a range of future research topics that may find their way into the FDCUAC or next-generation underwater wireless systems.

Correcting for risk premium on Extended Generalised Leland Models: an empirical study on Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) index options

The relative option pricing performance of Extended Generalised Leland models is examined in this study. We generalise the extended Leland models based on the implied adjusted volatility introduced in the models. Non-parametric framework is fitted into parametric option-pricing framework based on the Leland models to achieve a more realistic option pricing. To reflect the real probability measure, the implied adjusted information is corrected in terms of risk premium. This study concentrates mainly in examining the option-implied information produced by the models after correcting for risk-premium. Data extracted from DJIA index options are employed in this study, which covers the period from January 2009 until the end of 2015. We discovered that the option-implied volatility, which is priced using the Extended Generalised Leland models, especially after being corrected for risk-premium factor improves the option valuation accuracy significantly.

In this paper, we investigate the solutions of the following fractional order differential equation (FracDE) { cDt0α+[ x(t)−f1(t,x(t)) ]=f2(t,x(t),(It0β+x)(t)),∈J,x(t0)=x0∈ℝ where cDt0α+ is the Caputo fractional derivative of order 0<α<1,It0+β is the Riemann-Liouville fractional integral of order β > 0, and J = [t0, t0 + a], for some t0 ∈ ℝ, a > 0. We prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution of above nonlinear FracDE under some conditions of f1 and f2. This result extends and complements some known results from the literature.

Accurate and effective identification of pavement cracks can provide a reference for pavement performance evaluation and prediction. Inspired by recent outstanding performance of convolutional sparse coding theory in various research fields, we envision whether convolutional sparse coding can be beneficial for crack detection in complex environments. Therefore, based on the multi-layer convolutional sparse coding (ML-CSC) model, this paper combines multi-layer iterative soft threshold algorithm (ML-ISTA) and convolutional neural network (CNN) into recurrent neural networks (RNN) to identify crack images across the simulated experiments. And in different noise environments, different training cycles and different epochs, the ML-ISTA is compared with traditional CNN and the layered basis pursuit (LBP), which is another popular algorithm for ML-CSC. Experimental results showed that under the different training conditions with the same parameter setting, the stability and accuracy of the ML-ISTA is better than CNN and LBP. The ML-ISTA can achieve crack identification accuracy of 99.36% efficiently, which demonstrates the effectiveness of convolutional sparse coding in crack detection.
