High-sensitivity room-temperature multi-dimensional infrared(IR)detection is crucial for military and civilian ***,the gapless electronic structures and unique optoelectrical properties have made the two-dimensional(2D)topological semimetals promising candidates for the realization of multifunctional optoelectronic ***,we demonstrated the in-situ construction of high-performance 1T’-MoTe_(2)/Ge Schottky junction device by inserting an ultrathin AlOx passivation *** good detection performance with an ultra-broadband detection wavelength range of up to 10.6 micron,an ultrafast response time of~160 ns,and a large specific detectivity of over 109 Jones in mid-infrared(MIR)range surpasses that of most 2D materials-based IR sensors,approaching the performance of commercial IR *** on-chip integrated device arrays with 64 functional detectors feature high-resolution imaging capability at room *** these outstanding detection features have enabled the demonstration of position-sensitive detection *** demonstrates an exceptional position sensitivity of 14.9 mV/mm,an outstanding nonlinearity of 6.44%,and commendable trajectory tracking and optoelectronic demodulation *** study not only offers a promising route towards room-temperature MIR optoelectronic applications,but also demonstrates a great potential for application in optical sensing systems.

This study outlines the development and refinement of an innovative base station antenna for contemporary wireless communication systems, which operates within the frequency range of 1.9 to 4.9 GHz. The antenna is made of copper and has a radiating patch thickness of 0.2 mm. The ground patch measures 38×38 mm and the total height of the antenna is 16 mm. The performance of the system relies on four reflecting walls that have been carefully carved to reduce out-of-band radiations and minimize interference. The antenna attains a peak gain of 6 dBi throughout the operational range, while keeping the |S11| parameters below -10 dBi, ensuring effective signal transmission. The process of optimization involves the utilization of evolutionary computers, more specifically a Genetic Algorithm, to meticulously adjust the design parameters. This approach guarantees that the antenna fulfills the demanding criteria of high gain and wide bandwidth, offering a strong and reliable solution for modern communication requirements. © 2024 IEEE.

The SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus strain’s introduction in December 2019 resulted in the development of the new coronavirus disease, COVID-19. Following its first appearance, the virus quickly spread throughout the world and is now considered to be a pandemic. There were 6,885,962 recorded deaths and 689,853,908 confirmed cases as of April 4, 2023. It is essential to put in place a thorough testing strategy in order to stop the disease from spreading. Nonetheless, a number of testing approaches are presently under consideration due to a restricted inventory and a limited supply of testing equipment. Recent expert analysis suggests that images from chest computed tomography (CT) scans could reveal important information about COVID-19, which is why we are using this modality as a focus of our investigation. Moreover, numerous recent studies have demonstrated that selecting the most informative features from the subject images improves the classification models’ efficiency and shortens the time needed for training and testing. All of this encourages us to present a study that suggests a novel, efficient, and fast feature selection system as the core of the proposed highly competent clinical decision support system for COVID-19 infection prediction. Using a publicly accessible CT image dataset, this four-phase system divides the images into two categories: "COVID-19-infected human" and "healthy human". Pre-processing is the first step in the study, after which features from different categories in the images are extracted in the next phase. In the third phase, the most influential features are then selected using three algorithms: the Teaching Learning-Based Optimization Algorithm (TLBO), the Cuckoo Search Optimization Algorithm (CSO), and a proposed hybrid of these two. Constructing bimodal grain structure is a promising approach to achieve the high strength-ductility syn-ergy in Mg *** of bimodal grain is closely related to the dynamic and/or static recrystal-lization process,which has not been fully understood in the typical Mg-RE based *** this work,it is claimed for the first time that the minor Ce addition(∼0.3 wt%)into Mg matrix significantly pro-motes the pyramidaland non-basaldislocations at the early stage of extrusion,which con-sequently enhances the formation of sub-grain boundaries via the movement and recovery of pyramidal II-type*** this stage,fine sub-grain lamellae are widely observed predominantly due to the low migration rate of sub-grain boundary caused by the limited mobility of*** the later stage,the sub-grains continuously transform into dynamic recrystallized(DRXed)grains that have10¯10Taylor axis and also strong fiber texture,indicating substantial activation of pyramidal II-type*** low mobility ofdislocations,accompanied with the solute drag from grain boundary(GB)segregation and pinning from nano-phases,cause a sluggish DRX process and thus a bimodal microstructure with ultra-fined DRXed grains,∼0.51μ*** resultant texture hardening and grain refinement hardening effects,originated from bimodal microstructure,result in a yield strength of∼352 MPa,which is exceptional in Mg-Ce dilute *** work clarifies the critical role of Ce addition in tuning recrystallization behavior and mechanical property of magnesium,and can also shed light on designing the other high-performance Mg alloys.

In this paper, a brand-new technique based on integral reinforcement learning (IRL) combined with the event-triggered control (ETC) for multiplayer non-zero-sum (NZS) game is proposed, taking into account nonlinear systems with uncertain system drift dynamics. System drift dynamics are no longer necessary for controller design with the IRL method. Furthermore, this method is implemented online, in contrast to other iterative calculating techniques. In this instance, the NZS game problems can be resolved by combining the IRL algorithm and the event-triggered control architecture. It offers a new triggering condition and lessens the computational and communication overhead of the entire control process. The system's stability is ensured at the same time. An example is then given to show how well our method works. © 2023 IEEE.

In the general cartoon face methods, these methods can generate realistic cartoon face images, but rarely consider the subjectivity of users. In this condition, algorithms lack direct user intervention or the user operation method is not simple enough, so they cannot meet the needs of different users. In this paper, a method of cartoon face generation based on interactive differential evolution is introduced to overcome the deficiencies of general cartoon face methods. In the new proposed oppositional-mutual learning interactive differential evolution algorithm, named OMIDE, the two strategies of dynamic oppositional learning and mutual learning are combined to reduce the number of generations of algorithm. In addition, the user's dynamic selection is introduced to solve the problem that users are not satisfied with some parts of the cartoon face image while others are satisfied in the later stages of the algorithm. The generation of the proposed method is extensively evaluated by comparisons between it and other methods. In addition, the method of cartoon face generation based on interactive differential evolution is confirmed by a set of experiments to be able to satisfy the needs of different users. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Traditional intelligent algorithms lack efficient utilization of knowledge of the agile earth observation satellite (AEOS) problem and the knowledge generated during the search process. To use the relevant knowledge and improve the algorithm-solving efficiency, this paper proposes an improved brain storm optimization in objective space (IBSOOS) algorithm based on knowledge strategy: 1) We use crossover and mutation strategies in the genetic algorithm (GA) to replace the original new solution generation strategy. This approach effectively handles non-continuous problems. 2) We introduce the worst solution updating strategy to enhance the algorithm's stability. During each iteration, this strategy adjusts the worst solution to learn from the target optimal solution. 3) We design a method for generating initial solutions, utilizing prior knowledge of the problem to pinpoint the range of candidate solutions swiftly. The experimental study compared the proposed algorithm with three other algorithms across four datasets. The results show that it significantly outperforms the others in solving AEOS mission planning problems. © 2024 IEEE.
