3d-transition metal(Fe,Co,Ni,and Mn)-based MXene materials have been predicted to demonstrate exceptional electrochemical performance because of their good electrical conductivity and the presence of metallic atoms with multiple charge ***,until now,there have been no reports on MXenes based on Fe,Co,Ni,and Mn,due to the lack of 3d-metal-layered ***,we successfully synthesized the first 3d-transition metal-based MXenes,Mn_(2)CT_(x) by exfoliating a layered precursor derived from the anti-perovskite bulk *** as-prepared Mn_(2)CT_(x) MXene nanosheets were employed as anode materials in lithium-ion batteries,which exhibited stable storage capacity of 764.7 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.5 C,placing its storage capacities at an upper-middle level compared with other reported MXene materials as well as other Mn-based anode ***,this study opens a new avenue for MXene research by synthesizing 3d-transition metal-based MXenes for electrochemical applications.

Gate-controlled localization to delocalization transition of flat band wavefunction in twisted monolayer–bilayer graphene

Twisted graphene systems with flat bands have attracted much attention for they are excellent platforms to research novel quantum phases. Recently, transport measurements about twisted monolayer–bilayer graphene(t MBG) have shown the existence of correlated states and topological states in this system. However, the direct observations of the band structures and the corresponding spatial distributions are still not sufficient. Here we show that the distributions of flat bands in t MBG host two different modes by scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy(STM/S). By tuning our t MBG device from the empty filling state to the full filling state through the back gate, we observe that the distributions of two flat bands develop from localized mode to delocalized mode. This gate-controlled flat band wavefunction polarization is unique to the t MBG system. Our work suggests that t MBG is promising to simulate both twisted bilayer graphene(TBG) and twisted double bilayer graphene(t DBG) and would be an ideal platform to explore novel moiré physics.

We experimentally demonstrate a Yb-doped all-fiber mode-locked laser based on the Mamyshev *** entire experimental setup operates only by injecting pump powers and adjusting polarization controllers(PCs),which realizes *** types of pulse patterns are observed at different pump powers and polarization states,including single pulses and up to eight-pulse bound-state *** operating wavelength of single-pulse mode-locking switching between 1072.3and 1043.1 nm can be realized by increasing the pump power while keeping the PCs in a fixed *** design can provide an attractive experimental model for all-fiber and self-starting Mamyshev oscillators.

Infectious diseases severely threaten public health and global *** addition to transmission through the air,pathogenic microorganisms have also been detected in environmental liquid samples,such as sewage *** biochemical detection methodologies are time-consuming and cost-ineffective,and their detection limits hinder early *** the present study,ultrafine plasmonic fiber probes with a diameter of 125μm are fabricated for clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated protein(CRISPR/Cas)-12a-mediated sensing of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).Single-stranded DNA exposed on the fiber surface is trans-cleaved by the Cas12a enzyme to release gold nanoparticles that are immobilized onto the fiber surface,causing a sharp reduction in the surface plasmon resonance(SPR)*** proposed fiber probe is virus-specific with the limit of detection of~2,300 copies/ml,and genomic copy numbers can be reflected as shifts in wavelengths.A total of 21 sewage water samples have been examined,and the data obtained are consistent with those of quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR).In addition,the Omicron variant and its mutation sites have been fast detected using S gene-specific *** study provides an accurate and convenient approach for the real-time surveillance of microbial contamination in sewage water.

Vapor deposition and three-dimensional(3D)printing technology are considered to be conventional methods to achieve patterned metal film preparation through the assistance of masks and high ***,there are still some challenges in fabricating metal films in template-free and normal temperature *** this work,we report a flexible and rapid laser metal transfer(LMT)technique for fabricating the various metal films(Cu,Ni,Sn,Al,Fe,and Ag)with different patterns without templates on arbitrary substrates(glass,polyimide(PI)films,and aluminum nitride(AlN)ceramic).Especially,the obtained transparent conductive glass displays high transmittance(more than 90%)and adjustable resistances(≈5Ω).According to the Joule effect,the interface resistance between Cu particles and copper oxide coating produces the high temperature approximately 280℃ at 2 V in a short time(≈60 s)and remains stable at 120℃ over 12 *** last,the multifunctional glass with Cu patterns also shows excellent bactericidal activity(≈95%).This work demonstrates that laser metal transfer is an exceeding effective means of fabricating the micro/nano structures with potential applications in functional devices.

Single-junction and tandem perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have achieved impressive power conversion efficiencies(PCEs)of 25.7%and 31.3%,respectively,which makes it to be one of next-generation photovoltaic technologies[1−9].Inter-face engineering[3,5,10−12],composition engineering[13]and ad-ditive engineering[7,14,15]have made remarkable contribu-tions to efficiency *** with efficiency,the long-term operational stability of PSCs jogs along,which is far from the requirements of ***,almost all regular n-i-p PSCs were accomplished with classic-al organic hole-transport materials(HTMs),i.e.,PTAA[16]and spiro-OMeTAD[2,4,6].However,the highly efficient PSCs with the above organic hole-transport layers(HTL)usually suffer from *** facilitate hole transport and extraction,LiTF-SI and tBP are frequently employed to dope organic HTLs but this would sacrifice device *** use of these hygro-scopic p-dopants endows the devices with poor moisture sta-bility.

The growth of electrochemically inert segregation layers on the surface of solid oxide fuel cell cathodes has become a bottleneck restricting the development of perovskite-structured oxygen reduction ***,we report a new discovery in which enriched Ba and Fe ions on the near-surface of Nd_(1/2)Ba_(1/2)Co_(1/3)Fe_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)O_(3-δ)spontaneously agglomerate into dispersed Ba_(5)Fe_(2)O_(8) nanoparticles and maintain a highly active and durable perovskite structure on the *** unique surface selfcleaning phenomenon is related to the low average potential energy of Ba_(5)Fe_(2)O_(8),which is grown on the near-surface *** electrochemically inert Ba_(5)Fe_(2)O_(8) segregation layer on the near-surface of the perovskite catalyst achieves self-cleaning by regulating the formation energy of enriched metal *** self-cleaned perovskite surface exhibits an ultrafast oxygen exchange rate,high catalytic activity for the oxygen reduction reaction,and good adaptability to the actual working conditions of solid oxide fuel cell *** study paves a new way for overcoming the stubborn problem of perovskite catalyst surface deactivation and enriches the scientific knowledge of surface catalysis.

Supercapacitor diode is a novel ion device that performs both supercapacitor energy storage and ion diode rectification ***,previously reported devices are limited by their large size and complex *** this work,we demonstrate a screen-printed micro supercapacitor diode(MCAPode)that based on the insertion of a finger mode with spinel ZnCo_(2)O_(4) as cathode and activated carbon as anode for the first time,and featuring an excellent area specific capacitance(1.21 mF cm^(-2)at 10 mV s^(-1))and high rectification characteristics(rectification ratioⅠof 11.99 at 40 mV s^(-1)).Taking advantage of the ionic gel electrolyte,which provides excellent stability during repeated flexing and at high *** addition,MCAPode exhibits excellent electrochemical performance and rectification capability in"AND"and"OR"logic *** findings provide practical solutions for future expansion of micro supercapacitor diode applications.

Role of Catalytic Materials on Conversion of Sulfur Species for Room Temperature Sodium–Sulfur Battery

Room temperature sodium–sulfur(RT Na-S)battery with high theoretical energy density and low cost has spurred tremendous interest,which is recognized as an ideal candidate for large-scale energy storage ***,serious sodium polysulfide shutting and sluggish reaction kinetics lead to rapid capacity decay and poor Coulombic ***,catalytic materials capable of adsorbing and catalyzing the conversion of polysulfides are profiled as a promising method to improve electrochemical *** this review,the research progress is summarized that the application of catalytic materials in RT Na-S *** the role of catalyst on the conversion of sulfur species,specific attention is focused on the influence factors of reaction rate during different redox *** catalytic materials based on lightweight and high conductive carbon materials,including heteroatom-doped carbon,metals and metal compounds,single-atom and heterostructure,promote the reaction kinetic via lowered energy barrier and accelerated charge ***,the adsorption capacity of the catalytic materials is the key to the catalytic *** attention to the interaction between polysulfides and sulfur host materials is necessary for the exploration of catalytic ***,the challenges and outlooks toward the desired design of efficient catalytic materials for RT Na-S battery are discussed.
