The annealing properties of vacancies in HfO2 layers deposited on Si substrates and their role in amorphous-to-crystalline transition were studied with monoenergetic positron beams. HfO2 layers with a thickness of 4.30 nm were fabricated by the atomic layer deposition technique. The major vacancytype defects in these layers were identified as a Hf vacancy (VHf) coupled with multiple oxygen vacancies (VOs) and larger vacancy clusters. After annealing at 500°C, the concentration of vacancy clusters started to increase, which was attributed to the agglomeration of intrinsic open spaces in the amorphous phase upon the phase transition from amorphous to monoclinic crystalline phases. The amorphous-crystalline transition started near the interface between the HfO2 layer and bottom electrodes (TiN). After the crystallization, the concentration of vacancy clusters decreased as the annealing temperature increased. © 2025 IEEE.

In this paper, Peetre’s conjecture about the real interpolation space of Besov space is solved completely by using the classification of vertices of cuboids defined by wavelet coefficients and wavelet’s grid structure. Littlewood-Paley analysis provides only a decomposition of the function on the ring. We extend Lorentz’s rearrangement function and Hunt’s Marcinkiewicz interpolation theorem to more general cases. We use the method of calculating the topological quantity of the grid to replace the traditional methods of data classification such as gradient descent method and distributed algorithm. We developed a series of new techniques to solve this longstanding open problem. These skills make up for the deficiency of Lions-Peetre iterative theorem in dealing with strong nonlinearity. Using the properties of wavelet basis, a series of functional nonlinearities are studied. Using the lattice property of wavelet, we study the lattice topology. This work clarified the conventional/phase shift dual Mach-Zehnder modulation measured technique for upgrading radio over fiber (ROF) systems. Four levels of pulse amplitude modulation and non-return to zero code scheme are employed in different previous studies for upgrading ROF systems. The possible transmission distance is extended to 150 km and a bit rate of 40 Gb/s for achieved acceptable max. Q factor of 13.7498 and minimum bit error rates of 1.82×10-43. The total optical received power is measured at fiber cable length for maximum distance. Also, in the same way, the signal power levels are measured after fiber optic cable and avalanche photo detector optical receiver. The proposed model has presented the enhancement percentage ratio of 13.654% over the previous models in signal quality enhancement. © 2020 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston.

The recommended AI-Blockchain Integration Method is a huge step toward using artificial intelligence and blockchain technology to help many organizations make better choices and function more efficiently. The process starts with the analysis of agreement criteria and network data, which guarantees the accuracy and speed of handling agreements. The suggested technique improves distributed system assessment and real-time data-based adjustments to make agreement mechanisms more dependable and adaptive. This study aims at investigating the problem of stability and stabilization of chaotic systems on the basis of Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy model under aperiodic sampling. A modified Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF), which fully captures the information of the sampling pattern, is constructed to the chaotic systems. Together with free-weighted matrices technique, much less conservative stabilization results are derived in term of linear matrix inequality (LMI). © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Fog computing enhances traditional cloud computing by bringing resources closer to edge devices, enabling faster response times and supporting mission-critical applications. However, its distributed nature makes it vulnerable to cyber-attacks like distributed denial-of-service (DDoS), resulting in service disruption and performance degradation. To mitigate this attack, a two-stage anomaly detection system (ADS) is proposed in this paper. The first stage uses AdaBoost (AB) ensemble machine learning to classify events as obstructive or non-obstructive. Obstructive events are offloaded to the cloud where they are classified into normal or specific attack categories using Long Short-term Memory Encoder-Decoder (LSTM-ED). The results demonstrate that the AB-based model achieves exceptional performance, with nearly 100% in accuracy, precision, recall, and a minimal mean squared error (MSE) of 8.34 × 10-5. The LSTM-ED model also performs well, with accuracy and MSE at 99.50% and 0.02686, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Intelligent Mesh Generation (IMG) represents a novel and promising field of research, utilizing machine learning techniques to generate meshes. Despite its relative infancy, IMG has significantly broadened the adaptability and practicality of mesh generation techniques, delivering numerous breakthroughs and unveiling potential future pathways. However, a noticeable void exists in the contemporary literature concerning comprehensive surveys of IMG methods. This paper endeavors to fill this gap by providing a systematic and thorough survey of the current IMG landscape. With a focus on 113 preliminary IMG methods, we undertake a meticulous analysis from various angles, encompassing core algorithm techniques and their application scope, agent learning objectives, data types, targeted challenges, as well as advantages and limitations. We have curated and categorized the literature, proposing three unique taxonomies based on key techniques, output mesh unit elements, and relevant input data types. This paper also underscores several promising future research directions and challenges in IMG. Sampling from diffusion probabilistic models (DPMs) can be viewed as a piecewise distribution transformation, which generally requires hundreds or thousands of steps of the inverse diffusion trajectory to get a high-quality image. Recent progress in designing fast samplers for DPMs achieves a trade-off between sampling speed and sample quality by knowledge distillation or adjusting the variance schedule or the denoising equation. However, it can’t be optimal in both aspects and often suffer from mode mixture in short steps. To tackle this problem, we innovatively regard inverse diffusion as an optimal transport (OT) problem between latents at different stages and propose the DPM-OT, a unified learning framework for fast DPMs with a direct expressway represented by OT map, which can generate high-quality samples within around 10 function evaluations. By calculating the semi-discrete optimal transport map between the data latents and the white noise, we obtain an expressway from the prior distribution to the data distribution, while significantly alleviating the problem of mode mixture. In addition, we give the error bound of the proposed method, which theoretically guarantees the stability of the algorithm. Extensive experiments validate the effectiveness and advantages of DPM-OT in terms of speed and quality (FID and mode mixture), thus representing an efficient solution for generative modeling. Sidechain techniques enhance blockchain scalability and interoperability, enabling decentralized exchanges and cross-chain operations for wrapped digital assets. However, existing PoW sidechains face challenges, including centralization, high communication costs, and incomplete PoW-based security proofs. This paper introduces SFPoW, a Secure and Flexible Proof-of-Work sidechains for cross-chain interoperability with wrapped assets. SFPoW facilitates decentralized asset transfers and token swaps across nearly all PoW-based cryptocurrencies without requiring soft or hard forks or fixed PoW targets. It establishes a decentralized, fair validation set within the sidechain, improving adaptability and reducing competition and confirmation periods. A pluggable cross-chain proof generation method is proposed, effectively filtering lazy nodes, incentivizing active participation, and minimizing on-chain verification overhead to a proof size of 200.5 bytes. Through mining behavior analysis and cryptographic reductions, SFPoW satisfies weak and strong consistency. Experiments on the Ronin blockchain and an Ethereum testnet demonstrate a round-trip cost of $6.55 and latency of 372.1–382.6 seconds, confirming its practicality and efficiency. © 1968-2012 IEEE.
