We consider statistical inference for single or low-dimensional parameters in a high-dimensional linear model under a semi-supervised setting, wherein the data are a combination of a labelled block-wise missing data set of a relatively small size and a large unlabelled data set. The proposed method utilises both labelled and unlabelled data without any imputation or removal of the missing observations. The asymptotic properties of the estimator are established under regularity conditions. Hypothesis testing for low-dimensional coefficients are also studied. Extensive simulations are conducted to examine the theoretical results. The method is evaluated on the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative data.

Recently, a new concept called multiplicative differential was introduced by Ellingsen et al. [7]. As an extension of the differential uniformity, it is theoretically appealing to determine the properties of c-differential uniformity and the corresponding c-differential spectrum. In this paper, based on certain quadratic character sums and two special elliptic curves over $$\mathbb {F}_p$$ , the $$(-1)$$ -differential spectra of the following two classes of power functions over $$\mathbb {F}_{p^n}$$ is completely determined: (1) $$f_1(x)=x^{\frac{p^n+3}{2}}$$ , where $$p>3$$ and $$p\equiv 3\pmod 4$$ ; (2) $$f_2(x)=x^{p^n-3}$$ , where $$p>3$$ . The obtained result shows that the $$(-1)$$ -differential spectra of $$f_1(x)$$ and $$f_2(x)$$ can be expressed explicitly in terms of n. Approximate periodic time series has a wide application prospect in modelling social economic phenomenon. As for approximate periodic time series, the key problem is to depict its approximate periodic trend because it can be dealt as an ordinary time series only if its approximate periodic trend has been depicted. However,there is little study on depicting approximate periodic *** the paper, the authors first establish some necessary theories, especially bring forward the concept of shape-retention transformation with lengthwise compression and obtain necessary and sufficient condition for linear shape-retention transformation with lengthwise compression,then basing on the theories the authors present a method to estimate scale transformation, which can model approximate periodic trend very clearly. At last, a simulated example is analyzed by this presented method. The results show that the presented method is very effective and very powerful.

In this paper, a conservative phase-field based lattice Boltzmann equation (LBE) is developed to simulate gas-liquid-solid flows with large fluid density contrasts. In this model, the gas-liquid interface is captured by the conservative Allen-Cahn equation (CACE), where an additional source term is incorporated to realize the wettability of solid structure. Subsequently, a LBE is designed to solve this modified CACE (MCACE), while the two-phase flow field is resolved by using another classical incompressible LBE, and the fluid-solid interaction force is calculated by smoothed-profile method (SPM). Several classical simulations are conducted to demonstrate the capability of the present MCACE-LBE-SPM for simulating gas-liquid-solid flows, including a droplet spreading on a static wettable cylinder, a wettable cylinder floating on the gas-liquid interface without gravity, capillary interactions between two wettable cylinders under gravity, and multiple horizontal cylinders in gas-liquid channel flow. Numerical results indicate that the predictions by present MCACE-LBE-SPM are in good agreement with the theoretical or previous numerical results.
