The Internet Of Things (IoT) is an emerging paradigm representing a network of infrastructure connecting different types of devices in different places. Recently, IoT-based Conversational systems gained more attention, providing users with a new human-computer interaction mode. These new systems allow users to interact with the IoT ecosystem through a virtual assistant. They also heavily rely on Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for intelligent and efficient communication. Understanding the user's needs is the first step toward a more humanized IoT interaction system. This can be achieved using Natural language understanding (NLU) modules. Slot Filling is one of the core sub-tasks in NLU. It is an active research area focusing on extracting attribute values from the user's utterance. In this study, we propose an LSTM-based model for slot filling. The model benefits from contextual embeddings extracted from the BERT transformer model, the attention mechanism, and the conditional random field (CRF) that is known to model strong dependence among adjacent tags in the output sequence. Experiments show that our model achieved competitive results on two widely used benchmark datasets. © 2022 IEEE.

Collection of sensor nodes and base station called as Wireless Sensor Networks. While, communicating with other nodes within network this type of network uses huge amount of energy. And, node has limited life time due to battery power. For efficiently utilizing these nodes energy and power, clustering was considered as a best approach. In proposed paper, we work on heterogeneous node, in such environment nodes are differ by their energy level, power, computation, communication etc. The protocol proposed for Energy Efficient Hybrid Routing in different energy levels using fuzzy logic provides three different network for three different initial energy level of nodes such that. 3J,. 4J and. 5J under same area (500*500) m 2 in which super node region uses multipath routing and clustering approach uses for transmitting packet/ data to base station and normal type nodes will uses single path routing transmitting packet/ data to Base station. The proposed protocol discussed different energy levels for finding best initial energy value of node in network and improved throughput, stability, lifetime of network on. 4J energy level as compare to. 3J and. 5J. To optimize the cluster formation we used predetermined technique i.e. inverted binary tree. This technique helps in balancing the load of super nodes region. The proposed model simulated in MATLAB, result shows better performance at 0.4J initial energy.

Wireless power transfer (WPT) presents a promising approach for charging electric vehicles (EVs), offering increased convenience, reliability, and safety for EV customers. Recently, the incorporation of multiple coil structures in wireless charging systems has addressed various operational challenges, enhanced power transfer, and provided a scalable solution for EVs. However, cross-coupling issues and space limitation problems arise when multiple coils are introduced to the WPT system. In this paper, a novel integrated compact coupler is proposed, including two naturally decoupled coils on the transmitter side, while both are coupled with the receiver coil to improve the power transfer capability of the system. ANSYS Maxwell is employed to simulate the proposed coupler and evaluate its performance under misalignment operations. The proposed wireless charging system inherently detects misalignment direction based on the variation of output voltage with respect to x-misalignment. As a result, the experimental prototype of the designed wireless WPT system presents a peak efficiency of 97.08% at 1.147-kW output power for an air gap of 120 mm under fully-aligned condition. Additionally, the designed compensation coil can transfer power of 243.76-W under fully-aligned condition and increases reliability in power transfer during misalignment operations. © 2013 IEEE.

Explainable recommendation systems, which can produce high-accuracy recommendations and help users make quick decisions, have become a hotspot in research field. Most of existing research algorithms committed to improving the accuracy of recommendation, but ignored the interpretability of recommendation. We propose a semantic recommendation algorithm through Reinforcement Learning and weighted meta-paths which analyzes and selects the meta-path, and uses Reinforcement Learning network to train the weight of meta-path. This method can effectively solve data sparsity, improve the accuracy of recommendation, and increase interpretability. Compared with the baseline method, indicators of the recommended methods for integrating Reinforcement Learning with Heterogeneous Information Networks have been greatly improved, as verified and compared on a real MovieLens 1M dataset. Experimental results prove that the algorithm can effectively improve the accuracy and interpretability of the recommendation. © 2022 SPIE.

Studying eye movement trajectory through eye tracker can provide insights into classification mechanism of memory and reasoning. For the given text or images, memory and reasoning based observations are useful in multiple key areas of psychology, cognition and related fields. For our project, the EyeLink 1000 Plus is used to inspect and capture fixation, saccades, blinks etc. in eye tracking protocols of each participant during trials. Based on fixation sequence of each participant our trained deep recurrent neural network architecture–LSTM classifies whether a participant is performing the given text-based task by memorizing it or by inference. To set trial sentences, syllogism– deductive reasoning type is followed. Sixty university students (mature readers) participated in both memory and reasoning-based trials. Participants were then divided into two equal groups and of which one group was instructed to perform memory task first while the second group was instructed to perform reasoning based task first and then their order of performing the given task was changed. From sixty-one different sentences, sixty randomly selected sentences were presented to each participant. Sequential signals from fixation of each participant were then processed to get the results. Our trained LSTM model’s high accuracy to classify the memory and the reasoning based reading of participants ensures the significance of our work which will provide a solid base for future works on eye movements to build intelligent techniques in the field of A.I backed psychology, healthcare and neuro-marketing. Our trained model has the potential for (a) achieving very high accuracy for memory and reasoning classification, (b) for data learning, it saves enormous time, (c) Economical and comfortable for trials to record data via EyeLink 1000 plus (d) and finally, possible future work opportunities are enlisted. © 2022 SPIE.

Modeling leaf color dynamics of winter wheat in relation to growth stages and nitrogen rates

The objective of this work was to develop a model for simulating the leaf color dynamics of winter wheat in relation to crop growth stages and leaf positions under different nitrogen(N) rates. RGB(red, green and blue) data of each main stem leaf were collected throughout two crop growing seasons for two winter wheat cultivars under different N rates. A color model for simulating the leaf color dynamics of winter wheat was developed using the collected RGB values. The results indicated that leaf color changes went through three distinct stages, including early development stage(ES), early maturity stage(MS) and early senescence stage(SS), with respective color characteristics of light green, dark green and yellow for the three stages. In the ES stage, the R and G colors gradually decreased from their initial values to steady values, but the B value generally remained unchanged. RGB values remained steady in the MS, but all three gradually increased to steady values in the SS. Different linear functions were used to simulate the dynamics of RGB values in time and space.A cultivar parameter of leaf color matrix(MRGB) and a nitrogen impact factor(FN) were added to the color model to quantify their respective effects. The model was validated with an independent experimental dataset. RMSEs(root mean square errors) between the observed and simulated RGB values ranged between 7.0 and 10.0, and relative RMSEs(RRMSEs)ranged between 7 and 9%. In addition, the model was used to render wheat leaves in three-dimensional space(3 D). The 3 D visualizations of leaves were in good agreement with the observed leaf color dynamics in winter wheat. The developed color model could provide a solid foundation for simulating dynamic crop growth and development in space and time.

Video classification is a challenging task because of the intricate spatiotemporal information present within videos. Current models often rely on 2D or 3D convolutional neural networks. However, convolutional neural networks are difficult to solve the long-range dependency problem. In addition, they are computationally expensive and memory-intensive. To address the challenges, a Multi-layer Transformer is proposed for video classification. The proposed method takes advantage of the high correlation between adjacent frames by grouping them and learning local and global information with a multi-layer structure based on Transformer. First, different frame sampling rates and grouping strategies are tested in the experiments, then comparing the method with state-of-The-Art models. The results demonstrate that the proposed method has advanced performance with TOP1 accuracy of 77.8% on the Kinetics-400 dataset and 64.9% on the Something-Something v2 dataset. © 2023 IOS Press. Ensuring safe and reliable data sharing is crucial for the development of Internet of Vehicles (IoV) technology. To provide a trusted data environment for IoV and enable traditional consensus algorithms to meet the high dynamic requirements of the IoV. In this article, we propose a blockchain-based data sharing scheme for IoV (BLDTS) to achieve secure and trusted sharing. First, we design a false information identification strategy that utilizes a bayesian inference model to determine the authenticity of shared data with the assistance of reputation value. Second, the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is used to construct a novel lightweight consensus mechanism based on vehicle reputation values and traffic environment factors, and the nodes with high scores were selected as participants in the consensus, which can reduce the computational overhead. Finally, experimental results show that our scheme has advantages in improving the accuracy of false message identification and consensus efficiency.
