The digital era directly builds user needs in communicating using social media, the data generated by social media has a large volume so it needs to be analyzed with a preprocessing process. The problems that exist in social media data contain a lot of repeated words with non-standard sentence structures and still contain lots of irregular punctuation making it difficult to determine which features are considered important in a sentence to carry out a sentiment analysis process in identifying positive, negative, and neutral sentences. So it is necessary to select features using preprocessing techniques using Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE). This study produces a comparison that shows that the selection of features and combinations in using features results in the accuracy of each algorithm increasing when compared to using one feature. The results showed that the CNN algorithm has an accuracy value of 0.95, the LSTM algorithm is 0.94 and the RNN algorithm is 0.93. when compared to the use of one feature, it increases by 0.09 for the CNN algorithm, increases by 0.07 for the LSTM algorithm, and increases by 0.05 for the RNN algorithm. © 2023 IEEE.

Automated skin lesion classification in dermoscopy images remains challenging due to the existence of artefacts and intrinsic cutaneous features, diversity of lesion morphology, insufficiency of training data, and class imbalance problem. To address these challenges, we propose a new densely connected convolutional network termed AttDenseNet-121, which is obtained by integrating the convolutional block attention module (CBAM) into DenseNet-121. CBAM is a simple yet efficient attention module, which is further improved by adding a novel pooling layer (multiscale-pooling) to effectively enhance its attention capability. The optimized CBAM strengthens the representation power of DenseNet-121 by emphasizing meaningful features and suppressing unnecessary ones, thus significantly enhancing the classification performance. Besides, to handle the imbalanced dataset, we employ an improved focal loss function rather than the traditional cross-entropy loss function to train AttDenseNet-121. The improved focal loss is calculated from a different perspective compared with the original focal loss. It makes the distribution of positive samples and negative samples in each batch the same as that in the original data, successfully mitigating the negative influence of class imbalance on this multi-class classification task. We conduct extensive experiments on the public benchmark dataset (HAM10000) and the results indicate that our proposed method achieves superior performance compared with that of the baselines and state-of-the-art algorithms. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Video person re-identification is receiving academic interest. However, the practical application of the algorithm is hardly supported because of prohibitive annotated data. Hence, the study for unlabeled data will lead to an attractive alternative. This work explores an innovative strategy, namely, learning to cluster unlabeled person in the video through graph convolutional networks. In this paper, we find that the possibility of inter-frame linkage can be inferred from context. Therefore, a pose-guided topology linkage clustering framework is proposed. Our framework consists of three modules: (i) a pose-guided representation module;(ii) a pose-guided embedding module;(iii) a link prediction module. Firstly, the representation coding alone is performed at the level of relational induction bias, embedding the implicit pose structure information in image features. Then, based on the consideration of the topology relationship between adjacent and cross-frame, graph convolutional network is introduced to infer the likelihood of linkage between frame nodes. Experiments show that the method demonstrates excellent scalability in addition to being an effective response to person clustering in case of changes, and does not need the number of clusters as a prior. © 2023 IEEE.

Virtual memory, with the support of address translation hardware, is a key technique in expanding programmability and memory management in GPUs. However, the nature of the GPU execution model heavily pressures its translation hardware, particularly due to a discrepancy in the behavior of page table walkers and thousands of concurrently running threads. In GPU workloads, multiple threads simultaneously access a number of pages necessitating a substantial number of translations whereas each walker handles only a single walk request at a time. Such a limitation significantly increases the queueing latency of walk requests, which we observe as a major bottleneck for servicing page table walks in GPUs. To tackle this challenge, we investigate a design of page walkers that facilitates multiple walk requests to be handled together in batches. Then, we make the following observations: 1) allowing a page walker to issue beyond a single memory request significantly improves the throughput of walkers, and 2) GPU applications tend to concurrently access pages in wide address ranges. By leveraging the above implications, we propose Marching Page Walks (MPW) that effectively mitigate the contention in GPU page table walkers. MPW scans pending walk requests to identify ones that can be grouped together. Then, MPW batches these requests and concurrently handles them by issuing multiple memory instructions. Experiments show that MPW reduces the queueing latency of page walks by 86.7% and improves GPU performance by 55.6% over the baseline design. © 2025 IEEE.

Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) optical technology allows transmission of many wavelengths in a single optical channel. In this paper, system modelling and numerical simulations are demonstrated for high-capacity data transmission using an Optical Frequency Comb (OFC). An OFC is generated using fiber loop modulation technique and simulations are carried out using commercially available simulation software -Optisystem. An OFC with excellent flatness is obtained, which is essential for noise and error reduction. Each comb line is modulated with data and the DWDM multiplexed signal is transmitted over a free-space optical (FSO) channel. The system performance is assessed in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER) and range of the FSO channel. Our experimental results demonstrate that our system aligns well with simulation and can generate an OFC confirming the potential of our approach for applications such as optical communication networks. © 2024 IEEE.

Flood extraction is a critical issue in remote sensing analysis. Accurate flood extraction faces challenges such as complex scenes, image differences across modalities, and a shortage of labeled samples. Traditional supervised deep learning algorithms demonstrate promising prospects in flood extraction. They mostly rely on abundant labeled data. However, in practical applications, there is a scarcity of available labeled samples for flood change regions, leading to an expensive acquisition of such data for flood extraction. In contrast, there is a wealth of unlabeled data in remote sensing images. Self-supervised contrastive learning (SSCL) provides a solution, allowing learning from unlabeled data without explicit labels. Inspired by SSCL, we utilized the open-source CAU-Flood dataset and developed a framework for cross-modal change detection in flood extraction (CMCDFE). We employed the Barlow Twin (BT) SSCL algorithm to learn effective visual feature representations of flood change regions from unlabeled cross-modal bi-temporal remote sensing data. Subsequently, these well-initialized weight parameters were transferred to the task of flood extraction, achieving optimal accuracy. We introduced the improved CS-DeepLabV3+ network for extracting flood change regions from cross-modal bi-temporal remote sensing data, incorporating the CBAM dual attention mechanism. By demonstrating on the CAU-Flood dataset, we proved that fine-tuning with only a pre-trained encoder can surpass widely used ImageNet pre-training methods without additional data. This approach effectively addresses downstream cross-modal change detection flood extraction tasks. © 2024 Wenqing Feng et al.

The extensive application of smart contract technology in the blockchain domain has positioned it as a key component of the digital economy. However, as the application scope of smart contracts expands, security issues have become increasingly evident, resulting in substantial economic losses. Current vulnerability detection methods largely depend on analyzing complete smart contract source code, which struggles to filter out extensive redundant information when identifying individual vulnerabilities. This leads to an insufficient exploration of the characteristics of smart contract code, which in turn results in lower overall accuracy of detection methods. In this context, the study introduces a method that transforms smart contract source code into a control flow graph, filtering out the main basic blocks based on key information about timestamp vulnerabilities. Subsequently, individual operation audits are conducted on these basic blocks, combined with the graphical structure of the control flow graph, utilizing gated graph neural networks for detecting timestamp vulnerabilities in smart contracts. Comparative experiments were performed on two public datasets, and the results indicate that compared to state-of-the-art detection methods, the proposed approach has improved the accuracy and F1 score for detecting timestamp vulnerabilities in smart contracts by 1.65% and 6.51%, providing valuable application prospects for the security of smart contracts. © 2024 Knowledge systems Institute Graduate school. Face recognition (FR) technology has numerous applications in artificial intelligence including biometrics, security,authentication, law enforcement, and surveillance. Deep learning (DL) models, notably convolutional neuralnetworks (CNNs), have shown promising results in the field of FR. However CNNs are easily fooled since theydo not encode position and orientation correlations between features. Hinton et al. envisioned Capsule Networksas a more robust design capable of retaining pose information and spatial correlations to recognize objects morelike the brain does. Lower-level capsules hold 8-dimensional vectors of attributes like position, hue, texture, andso on, which are routed to higher-level capsules via a new routing by agreement algorithm. This provides capsulenetworks with viewpoint invariance, which has previously evaded CNNs. This research presents a FR model basedon capsule networks that was tested using the LFW dataset, COMSATS face dataset, and own acquired photos usingcameras measuring 128 × 128 pixels, 40 × 40 pixels, and 30 × 30 pixels. The trained model outperforms state-ofthe-art algorithms, achieving 95.82% test accuracy and performing well on unseen faces that have been blurred orrotated. Additionally, the suggested model outperformed the recently released approaches on the COMSATS facedataset, achieving a high accuracy of 92.47%. Based on the results of this research as well as previous results, capsulenetworks perform better than deeper CNNs on unobserved altered data because of their special equivarianceproperties.
