Large scale artificial intelligence (AI) models possess excellent capabilities in semantic representation and understanding, making them particularly well-suited for semantic encoding and decoding. However, the substantial scale of these AI models imposes unacceptable computational resources and communication delays. To address this issue, we propose a semantic communication scheme based on robust knowledge distillation (RKD-SC) for large scale model enabled semantic communications. In the considered system, a transmitter extracts the features of the source image for robust transmission and accurate image classification at the receiver. To effectively utilize the superior capability of large scale model while make the cost affordable, we first transfer knowledge from a large scale model to a smaller scale model to serve as the semantic encoder. Then, to enhance the robustness of the system against channel noise, we propose a channel-aware autoencoder (CAA) based on the Transformer architecture. Experimental results show that the encoder of proposed RKD-SC system can achieve over 93.3% of the performance of a large scale model while compressing 96.67% number of parameters. Co-salient object detection (CoSOD) is to find the salient and recurring objects from a series of relevant images, where modeling inter-image relationships plays a crucial role. Different from the commonly used direct learning structure that inputs all the intra-image features into some well-designed modules to represent the inter-image relationship, we resort to adopting a recursive structure for inter-image modeling, and propose a two-tier recursion network (TRNet) to achieve CoSOD in this paper. The two-tier recursive structure of the proposed TRNet is embodied in two stages of inter-image extraction and distribution. On the one hand, considering the task adaptability and inter-image correlation, we design an inter-image exploration with recursive reinforcement module to learn the local and global inter-image correspondences, guaranteeing the validity and discriminativeness of the information in the step-by-step propagation. On the other hand, we design a dynamic recursion distribution module to fully exploit the role of inter-image correspondences in a recursive structure, adaptively assigning common attributes to each individual image through an improved semi-dynamic convolution. Experimental results on five prevailing CoSOD benchmarks demonstrate that our TRNet outperforms other competitors in terms of various evaluation metrics. With the growing popularity of API-driven multiservice application (mashup) development, the burgeoning web APIs have left developers drowning in the sea of web API selections. Matching developers with the most appropriate APIs is the key to improving user satisfaction and promoting more popular web applications. As a result, more and more researchers pay attention to web API recommender systems based on collaborative filtering. However, employing collaborative filtering to recommend APIs is challenging due to the severe sparsity of mashup and API interactions. To address this problem, we propose a probabilistic generative model, called the Binary-API Topic model (BAT), to parameterize mashups and APIs. Technically, BAT is equipped with a mechanism to extract binary-APIs and predict unknown pairwise interactions. To improve generality and capture more relevance from a limited number of interactions, we learn binary-API topics by directly modeling the generation of API co-occurrence patterns across the repository (all mashup collections from ***). The main advantage of BAT is that it preserves API co-occurrence patterns in model learning and exploits the rich global relevance. Finally, through extensive experiments, we demonstrate that BAT can achieve the highest performance on the sparse real-world data set. © 2023 IEEE.

For the multi-agent formation control problem, the current mainstream control methods are based on graph theory and consistency theory, which often require precise modeling of the system and rigorous mathematical reasoning. Based on the MADDPG deep reinforcement learning algorithm, this paper models the formation control problem as a reinforcement learning problem by considering various constraints on the agent, and obtains the behavior strategy of each agent through learning and training. Furthermore, this paper combines the leader-follow method to divide all agents into two categories, and solves the problem that it is difficult for agents to balance the long-term rewards of formation and obstacle avoidance tasks in reinforcement learning methods. The simulation experiments are divided into two types: circular formation control and formation obstacle avoidance. The dynamic movement process of the agent in the corresponding experimental scene is shown, and the effectiveness of the algorithm is verified by combining the formation process error. © 2025 IEEE.

This article introduces a novel method for predicting solar energy production using an affordable data logger and the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) algorithm. The main goal of this research is to create a precise predictive model for solar energy output, addressing the critical need for accurate forecasting in the renewable energy industry. The study capitalizes on the accessibility and cost-efficiency of a low-cost data logger to collect detailed environmental and solar irradiance data. The ANN algorithm is utilized to analyze the collected dataset, providing a robust and effective approach for forecasting solar energy production. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the developed model achieves an impressive R2 score of 0.95, indicating a high degree of accuracy and reliability in predicting solar energy output. This significant R2 score highlights the proposed methodology’s effectiveness, demonstrating its potential for practical applications in solar energy planning and management. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Fault diagnosis of complex control systems is a difficult and hot topic of research at this stage. In order to explore the internal operation characteristics of complex control systems and fault propagation methods to achieve efficient and accurate fault diagnosis, this paper studies control system fault diagnosis methods based on cause-effect relationships, analyzes the role relationship between system components from the perspective of control equation structure, proposes the method of constructing cause-effect diagram models with control equations, and uses the algorithm of way to implement, and then combine the information flow to quantify the causal effect quantifiably, when the system steady state is disrupted, the information flow produces a jump, so as to extend the fault diagnosis reasoning method. The fault diagnosis is verified by simulation of the pressure control system of the nuclear power plant regulator, and the experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In Information Centric Networking(ICN)where content is the object of exchange,in-network caching is a unique functional feature with the ability to handle data storage and distribution in remote sensing satellite *** up cache space at any node enables users to access data nearby,thus relieving the processing pressure on the ***,the existing caching strategies still suffer from the lack of global planning of cache contents and low utilization of cache resources due to the lack of fine-grained division of cache *** address the issues mentioned,a cooperative caching strategy(CSTL)for remote sensing satellite networks based on a two-layer caching model is *** two-layer caching model is constructed by setting up separate cache spaces in the satellite network and the ground *** caching of popular contents in the region at the ground station to reduce the access delay of users.A content classification method based on hierarchical division is proposed in the satellite network,and differential probabilistic caching is employed for different levels of *** cached content is also dynamically adjusted by analyzing the subsequent changes in the popularity of the cached *** the two-layer caching model,ground stations and satellite networks collaboratively cache to achieve global planning of cache contents,rationalize the utilization of cache resources,and reduce the propagation delay of remote sensing *** results show that the CSTL strategy not only has a high cache hit ratio compared with other caching strategies but also effectively reduces user request delay and server load,which satisfies the timeliness requirement of remote sensing data transmission.

The digital software of transportation infrastructure is the foundation of digital transportation. With the development of information technology, its software technology architecture is also evolving iteratively. Based on the status quo in the field of transportation infrastructure engineering, the core basic capabilities of the software are determined, including data aggregation and storage, data analysis and processing, engineering data delivery, engineering visualization, system integration expansion, application customization development, etc. The characteristics of the existing software architecture are studied, and the logical architecture of the transport infrastructure data software system is designed, including operation support layer, convergence storage layer, data service layer, and application service layer. The application of BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology in the field of transportation infrastructure digitization is the current development trend. However, the practical implementation of BIM in transportation infrastructure faces challenges such as inconsistent data standards, low information transfer efficiency, and fragmented information across different life cycles. This paper summarizes the current status and hot spots of BIM data management research through an in-depth literature review, analyzes the problems and shortcomings of existing different forms of BIM data management technology, and a prospect for its future development was proposed in the discussion. The study shows that the file-based BIM data management solutions can hardly meet the BIM data access requests of today's transportation infrastructure conveniently, securely, and efficiently, and the management solutions based on a single type of database can hardly have good performance while compatible with BIM data of multiple structures due to the heterogeneity of data sources. Therefore, future BIM data management must be based on unified data standards (such as Industry Foundation Classes), combined with NewSql-related technologies to achieve high-performance and highly scalable BIM data management to share and exchange data more conveniently and efficiently. © 2023 IEEE.

Regenerating codes are new network codes proposed to reduce the data required for fault repair, which can improve the recovery efficiency of faulty nodes in data storage systems. However, unlike Reed-Solomon code, which repairs at the granularity of bytes, regenerating codes require data stored in large chunks but leads to severe read amplification, which reads out excess data when degraded read objects and increases degraded read time. That reflects a mutual constraint between improving recovery efficiency and degraded read performance, as manifested in the amplification of data reads, a vital issue considered in this *** solve this problem, we propose a new type of data layout - discrete geometric, which splits the object into a series of geometric sequences of data blocks. They are placed discretely into corresponding containers on the disks at different nodes, with containers of the same size made into a strip for encoding. The discrete characteristic ensures lower repair costs for degraded reads. The geometric characteristic ensures the repair performance of regenerating codes by large blocks, and read amplification can be mitigated through small blocks. To reduce IOPS for discrete geometric, we propose Discrete Geometric-Locally Regenerating Codes (DG-LRCs), guaranteeing lower degraded read latency while improving recovery *** results show that the degraded read time of DG-LRCs compared to regenerating codes combined with geometric partitioning is 22.56% lower at 2Gbpsand 60.56% lower at 4Gbps, and the recovery performance is 7.04 times better than that of RS code. © 2023 IEEE.
