Segment Anything Model (SAM) has recently gained much attention for its outstanding generalization to unseen data and tasks. Despite its promising prospect, the vulnerabilities of SAM, especially to universal adversarial perturbation (UAP) have not been thoroughly investigated yet. In this paper, we propose DarkSAM, the first prompt-free universal attack framework against SAM, including a semantic decoupling-based spatial attack and a texture distortion-based frequency attack. We first divide the output of SAM into foreground and background. Then, we design a shadow target strategy to obtain the semantic blueprint of the image as the attack target. DarkSAM is dedicated to fooling SAM by extracting and destroying crucial object features from images in both spatial and frequency domains. In the spatial domain, we disrupt the semantics of both the foreground and background in the image to confuse SAM. In the frequency domain, we further enhance the attack effectiveness by distorting the high-frequency components (i.e., texture information) of the image. Consequently, with a single UAP, DarkSAM renders SAM incapable of segmenting objects across diverse images with varying prompts. Experimental results on four datasets for SAM and its two variant models demonstrate the powerful attack capability and transferability of DarkSAM. Incorporating positive temperature coefficient(PTC)ceramic particles into polymers provides a prospective alternative solution for suppressing severe electric field distortions caused by negative temperature coefficient(NTC)of electrical resistivity within polymer insulation in high voltage direct current *** effect of the Curie temperature of PTC particles on the inhibition of the NTC effect of cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE)is investigated in this *** temperature coefficient particles with varied Curie temperatures are surface-modified and melt blending with *** modified particles are dispersed on averagely in the *** electrical resistivity,space charge behaviour,and direct current(DC)electrical breakdown strength of the samples are investigated at different temperatures,exploring the effect of the Curie temperature of PTC particles on suppressing the NTC effect of *** is demonstrated that the reduction in Curie temperature can further suppress the NTC effect of XLPE,enhance the DC strength at elevated temperatures,and inhibit the internal space charge *** reduction in the Curie temperatures means that the initiation of the PTC effect advances,exhibiting a higher potential barrier and inhibiting the NTC effect more *** work may give a reference for improving the temperature stability of DC properties for XLPE cable insulation.

Depressive Disorders (DD) is one of the most prevalent mental disorders in the world that may lead to suicide cases. To prevent the latter, ubiquitous early detection systems may be effective. Recent studies have since researched the development of such systems by exploiting several forms of data, including video, audio, Ecological Momentary Assessments (EMA), and passive sensing data using sensors embedded in mobile devices. To summarize the trends, opportunities, and existing challenges in this field, this study reviewed 15 papers to answer four research questions. EMA was the most popular data to be used in this task, but other approaches, such as using video, audio, and typing behaviors, may be considered due to the subjectivity of EMA. These data were typically recorded using smartphones and analyzed using Machine Learning (ML). However, most of the developed systems had yet to be implemented. Overall, it was concluded that further studies may need to explore usages of more objective data in multimodal approaches as well as consider using Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) to deploy these systems to provide more effective and efficient diagnoses. Future studies must also take into account the existing challenges of the data and infrastructures, such as the weaknesses of several data types, limitations of mobile devices, as well as the challenges of diagnosis approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

With the popularity of the service-oriented development paradigm in the cloud era, numerous cloud APIs have been developed. The continuous proliferation of cloud APIs has submerged developers in a sea of options, bringing the need for cloud API recommendation techniques. Most existing cloud API recommendation methods focus on theoretical studies and neglect practical applications. As a result, these methods face several challenges, such as covering recommendation scenarios, generating real-time responses, and handling concurrent requests. In this paper, we propose and implement a practical cloud API complementary recommendation service for mashup creation. To address the above challenges, we first propose a cloud API complementary recommendation framework named FICR, which exploits feature interactions to mine implicit complementarity and models complementarity from the mashup side and the target cloud API side for scenario coverage. Then, we conduct performance optimization via precoding and batch size tuning to optimize FICR for real-time responses. Finally, we design a minimum-connection load balancing algorithm with resource early warning and build a distributed system for concurrent requests. Experiments conducted on real-world datasets show that FICR outperforms state-of-the-art baseline models in complementary recommendation scenarios, and demonstrate that the implemented service meets the real-time and concurrency requirements. The service will serve as a practical tool to help developers during mashup creation.

Multipath signal recognition is crucial to the ability to provide high-precision absolute-position services by the BeiDou Navigation Satellite system(BDS).However,most existing approaches to this issue involve supervised machine learning(ML)methods,and it is difficult to move to unsupervised multipath signal recognition because of the limitations in signal *** by an autoencoder with powerful unsupervised feature extraction,we propose a new deep learning(DL)model for BDS signal recognition that places a long short-term memory(LSTM)module in series with a convolutional sparse autoencoder to create a new autoencoder ***,we propose to capture the temporal correlations in long-duration BeiDou satellite time-series signals by using the LSTM module to mine the temporal change patterns in the time ***,we develop a convolutional sparse autoencoder method that learns a compressed representation of the input data,which then enables downscaled and unsupervised feature extraction from long-duration BeiDou satellite series ***,we add an l_(1/2) regularizer to the objective function of our DL model to remove redundant neurons from the neural network while ensuring recognition *** tested our proposed approach on a real urban canyon dataset,and the results demonstrated that our algorithm could achieve better classification performance than two ML-based methods(e.g.,11%better than a support vector machine)and two existing DL-based methods(e.g.,7.26%better than convolutional neural networks).

To improve the throughput of Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) consensus protocols, the Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) topology has been introduced to parallel data processing, leading to the development of DAG-based BFT consensus. However, existing DAG-based works heavily rely on Reliable Broadcast (RBC) protocols for block broadcasting, which introduces significant latency due to the three communication steps involved in each RBC. For instance, DAGRider, a representative DAG-based protocol, exhibits the best latency of 12 steps, considerably higher than non-DAG protocols like PBFT, which only requires 3 steps. To tackle this issue, we propose LightDAG, which replaces RBC with lightweight broadcasting protocols such as Consistent Broadcast (CBC) and Plain Broadcast (PBC). Since CBC and PBC can be implemented in two and one communication steps, respectively, LightDAG achieves low *** our proposal, we present two variants of LightDAG, namely LightDAG1 and LightDAG2, each providing a trade-off between the best latency and the expected worst latency. In LightDAG1, every block is broadcast using CBC, which exhibits a best latency of 5 steps and an expected worst latency of 14 steps. Since CBC cannot guarantee the totality property, we design a block retrieval mechanism in LightDAG1 to assist replicas in retrieving missing blocks. LightDAG2 utilizes a combination of PBC and CBC for block broadcasting, resulting in the best latency of 4 steps and an expected worst latency of 12(t+1) steps, where t represents the number of actual Byzantine replicas. Since a Byzantine replica may equivocate through PBC, LightDAG2 prohibits blocks from directly referencing contradictory blocks. To ensure liveness, we propose a mechanism to identify and exclude Byzantine replicas if they engage in equivocation attacks. Extensive experiments have been conducted to evaluate LightDAG, and the results demonstrate its feasibility and efficiency.

5G Core network (5GC) employs a Service Based Architecture (SBA). This architecture decomposes the control plane into multiple independent Network Functions (NFs). NFs open interfaces to provide services to other NFs, which makes the control plane more susceptible to external malicious attacks. However, existing anomaly detection methods focus more on traffic statistics features and are difficult to apply to the 5GC control plane. In this paper, we proposed GSAD, a Graph-Sequence analysis-based Anomaly Detection method for 5GC control plane traffic. We model control plane traffic as a directed graph to depict topological and NF interaction information. Further, we use the normalizing flows with temporal dependencies to mine the sequential information in the traffic. GSAD combines the topological and sequential information to provide fine-grained detection. We evaluate our proposed framework on the 5GC testbed using Free5GC and UERANSIM in various scenarios. Experimental results demonstrate that our framework outperforms the baselines significantly in terms of detection performance. © 2023 IEEE.

We propose a security enhanced optical chaos communication system with simplified structure. It have effectively suppressed time delay signature (TDS). And the structure of the communication system is significantly simplified. The simulation results show that our system allows for Gb/s transmission of secure data, even under low signal-to-noise ratio conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

Monocular depth estimation is a classic research topic in computer vision. In recent years, development of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) has facilitated significant breakthroughs in this field. However, there still are two challenges: 1) The network struggles to effectively fuse edge features in the feature fusion stage, which ultimately results in the loss of structure or distorted boundaries of objects in the scene. 2) Classification based studies typically depend on Transformers for global modeling, a process that often introduces substantial performance overhead. In this paper, we propose two modules to address the aforementioned issues. The first module is the Boundary Attention Module (BAM), which leverages the attention mechanism to enhance the ability of the network to perceive object boundaries during the feature fusion stage. In addition, to mitigate the performance overhead resulting from predicting adaptive bins, we propose a Shift Window Adaptive Bins (SWAB) module to reduce the amount of calculation in global modeling. The proposed method is evaluated on two public datasets, NYU Depth V2 and KITTI, and achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
