Color filters in different surroundings inherently suffer from angular sensitivity,which hinders their practical ***,we present an angle-insensitive plasmonic filter that can produce different color responses to different surrounding *** color filters are based on a two-dimensional periodically and randomly distributed silver nanodisk array on a silica *** proposed plasmonic color filters not only produce bright colors by altering the diameter of the Ag nanodisk,but also achieve continuous color palettes by changing the surrounding *** to the weak coupling between the metallic nanodisks,the plasmonic color filters can enable good incident angle-insensitive properties(up to 30°).The strategy presented here could exhibit robust and promising applicability in anti-counterfeiting and imaging technologies.

CRAFT: Criticality-Aware Fault-Tolerance Enhancement Techniques for Emerging Memories-Based Deep Neural Networks

Deep neural networks (DNNs) have emerged as the most effective programming paradigm for computer vision and natural language processing applications. With the rapid development of DNNs, efficient hardware architectures for deploying DNN-based applications on edge devices have been extensively studied. Emerging nonvolatile memories (NVMs), with their better scalability, nonvolatility, and good read performance, are found to be promising candidates for deploying DNNs. However, despite the promise, emerging NVMs often suffer from reliability issues, such as stuck-at faults, which decrease the chip yield/memory lifetime and severely impact the accuracy of DNNs. A stuck-at cell can be read but not reprogrammed, thus, stuck-at faults in NVMs may or may not result in errors depending on the data to be stored. By reducing the number of errors caused by stuck-at faults, the reliability of a DNN-based system can be enhanced. This article proposes CRAFT, i.e., criticality-aware fault-tolerance enhancement techniques to enhance the reliability of NVM-based DNNs in the presence of stuck-at faults. A data block remapping technique is used to reduce the impact of stuck-at faults on DNNs accuracy. Additionally, by performing bit-level criticality analysis on various DNNs, the critical-bit positions in network parameters that can significantly impact the accuracy are identified. Based on this analysis, we propose an encoding method which effectively swaps the critical bit positions with that of noncritical bits when more errors (due to stuck-at faults) are present in the critical bits. Experiments of CRAFT architecture with various DNN models indicate that the robustness of a DNN against stuck-at faults can be enhanced by up to 105 times on the CIFAR-10 dataset and up to 29 times on ImageNet dataset with only a minimal amount of storage overhead, i.e., 1.17%. Benign brain tumors (BT) are the least dangerous type and arise from brain cells or cells surrounding the brain. Benign tumors grow slowly and do not spread to other body parts. Benign brain tumors have distinct borders. They put the normal brain under stress and interfere with physical and mental function. It is also referred to as a non-cancerous BT. The acquisition of magnetic resonance images introduces noise, and removing this noise is complex. BT has tentacles and diffuse structures, making precise segmentation difficult. Another critical task is to select and extract the best features and the appropriate number of training and test samples to improve the classification. Deep learning (DL) models have received much attention because feature learning happens automatically. However, it necessitates a substantial amount of computing power and memory. As a result, lightweight models with high accuracy and fast computation times were developed. This paper is present on ML and DL model for analysis of BT detection and calculated accuracy. The ML classification i.e. K-NN achieves 78.74% accuracy, LR achieves 81.53% accuracy, VC achieves 86.9% accuracy and DL LSTM achieves 94.07% accuracy. It is clearly that the LSTM technique is provides good accuracy compared to other ML technique. © 2024 IEEE.

A large mode area multi-core orbital angular momentum(OAM)transmission fiber is designed and optimized by neural network and optimization *** neural network model has been established first to predict the optical properties of multi-core OAM transmission fibers with high accuracy and speed,including mode area,nonlinear coefficient,purity,dispersion,and effective index *** the trained neural network model is combined with different particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithms for automatic iterative optimization of multi-core structures *** to the structural advantages of multi-core fiber and the automatic optimization process,we designed a number of multi-core structures with high OAM mode purity(>95%)and ultra-large mode area(>3000µm^(2)),which is larger by more than an order of magnitude compared to the conventional ring-core OAM transmission fibers.

Colorectal intraepithelial neoplasia is a precancerous lesion of colorectal cancer, which is mainly diagnosed using pathological images. According to the characteristics of lesions, precancerous lesions can be classified into four different grades, i.e., background, normal, low and high level. However, due to the continuity of lesion development, tissue in different stages has high similarity. Recently, visual transformers have achieved impressive results in different visual tasks, due to their capacity of capturing long-range dependencies. However, due to computational cost, transformer cannot well extract detailed feature, which is important for lesion grading. To accurately segment pathological tissues with high similarity, in this work, we embed the multi-head MLP mixer module in the transformer network to extract cell and edge information. Furthermore, we propose a hierarchical MLP decoder to facilitate multi-scale feature fusion. The proposed transformer, namely MLPFormer, achieves remarkable results against competitive baselines on the Histo-CRC Biopsy dataset. The experimental results demonstrate that MLPFormer significantly outperforms the competitive baselines, i.e., a 3% dice improvement is achieved over the SegFormer series. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

The usage of machine learning and deep learning algorithms have necessitated Artificial Intelligence'. AI is aimed at automating things by limiting human interference. It is widely used in IT, healthcare, finance, and agriculture. It is achieved through several deep learning algorithms that reflect the human brain's intelligence. These AI algorithms can be manipulated according to changing needs and improved efficiency. This paper tries to utilize the developments made in AI technology to classify the images and recognize the objects present in them. One widely used AI algorithm is CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks). The CNN is a deep learning-based algorithm that consists of various layers that extract and filters the parameters present in the images. Some additional layers of ResNet50 and the CNN algorithm are used to extract the parameters to improve image recognition accuracy. The image dataset taken for training and testing the proposed model is imageNet. The images are initially processed before sending them to the proposed model. The proposed model is trained, validated, and tested through the images obtained after the initial processing. The same process is repeated several times until getting the maximum accuracy. The accuracy of the proposed model in terms of image recognition is recorded. The obtained results are compared with other image classification algorithms like VGG16 and VGG19.
