Knowledge acquisition is important for innovation and adaptation of organizations including universities. New knowledge and capabilities can be acquired from inside or outside of the institution. There are large body of literature discuss the interaction of universities and the other Triple-helix model's agents, but rarely found and discuss intra helices interactions. This research explores the characteristics of Indonesian academic inventors' knowledge acquisition strategy for patenting in Indonesia. There are two points of view of this research: firstly, the study discusses the knowledge acquisition strategy of Indonesian universities in regard of the knowledge diversity among two collaborating universities and secondly, how is the magnitude of knowledge gaps between two entities influencing the decision for inhouse or out of university *** the data from Sinta, knowledge diversity index is measured using Shannon entropy index of the academic inventor' expertise, university's department, and university's division. The research recognition's gap between two collaborating inventors is measured using the difference of their Scopus' h-indices. The findings show some interesting facts of how academic inventors strategize their collaboration patterns. First, interuniversity collaborations for patenting reveal more diversity on the academic inventors' knowledge than those are in intra-university collaborations. Second, collaborations for patenting with different universities expect better knowledge spill-overs than collaborations within a university. But, this knowledge spill-over only significant at individual level but not at institutional level. It seems that individual recognition is more important than institutional recognition when choosing a collaboration partner. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper analyze the effectiveness of feature extraction of deep convolutional neural networks in image classification from the perspective of the basic statistical pattern recognition method, K-means clustering. This clustering works on those features extracted from each convolution layer of the VGG16 network, as well as the visualization of those features. The visualization graphs show the changes IOR of feature extraction from CNN, while the clustering graphs show the distribution of features extracted by CNN for different class samples. This work provides an interpretive perspective on the statistical learning methods of deep learning, and hope to provide values for readers. © 2023 IEEE.

In bathrooms, a fall can lead to severe injuries or even drowning. While taking preventive measures against such accidents is crucial, it's equally important to swiftly detect and request rescue when they occur. In such scenarios, knowing the exact location of the person in the bathroom becomes critical. However, concerns related to privacy and costs make the use of cameras and lidar impractical. To address these issues, we propose a method for estimating the 3D location of a person within the bathroom using ultrasound correlation values as input for a deep neural network. To validate our approach, we conduct experiments using two sensors in this study. The results are promising, as we achieved a mean square error of just 10.48 cm. © 2023 IEEE.

Large data volumes make manually keeping and preserving health records for future reference problematic. Most unusual is the coronavirus epidemic's overcrowding of hospitals. The Secure Pattern Electronic Healthcare Records (SPEHR) scheme provides a powerful and lightweight secure storage system for cloud-based E-healthcare services that meets remote healthcare security criteria. So we proposed a neutrosophic model with a multi-criterion decision-making (MCDM) method for the analysis and evaluation of these criteria. The neutrosophic model is used to deal with vague and uncertain data. Then we integrated the neutrosophic model with the AHP method to rank and compute the weights of the criteria. Offering stakeholders a secure interface and avoiding unwanted access to cloud-stored data mitigates E-healthcare risks. The key derivation ensures end-to-end data. ciphering to prevent unauthorized use (KDF). This work provides robust security solutions for various environments. This work can meet security needs for people and secure-communicating organizations. We found the data privacy is the best criterion. © (2023). All Rights Reserved.

Empowering the adoption of blockchain-based cryptocurrency as a payment method: A user-friendly educational approach

Organizations are adopting technological innovations to transform payment systems due to challenges with traditional methods, such as slow speed and high fees. These challenges have prompted a shift towards blockchain-based cryptocurrencies. However, cryptocurrency adoption for payments remains limited, especially in Saudi Arabia. This study adapts the technology acceptance model to explore cryptocurrency adoption through the blockchain-based cryptocurrency as a payment method in Saudi Arabia (BCAP-SA) model. Factors within the model are assessed using an experimental vignette-task methodology and surveys. A key component is an educational package, offering comprehensive materials to explain blockchain technology. The findings confirm the reliability of surveys. Most model factors are statistically significant in influencing users’ intention to use cryptocurrency. The study finds that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived trust significantly impact participants’ intentions. Additionally, low transaction fees and age are the most influential factors on the technology acceptance model's core constructs. Statistical analysis indicates that decentralization and anonymity were insignificant and thus excluded from the revised BCAP-SA model. These findings highlight the potential to enhance cryptocurrency adoption in Saudi Arabia. The study's insights can guide strategies to promote wider cryptocurrency usage in the region. © 2025 The Author(s). The digital changes business patterns that require companies by using an integrated system for strategic decision-making. ERP system is one technological innovation that enable to have a competitive advantage. But the fact is that only a few companies have succeeded in implementing the ERP system. The objective of this research is to integrate the ERP system with business strategy in implementing ERP systems. The research focuses on developing an ERP system integration model for implementing the SAP ERP success. The methodology is based on previous research for the ERP implementation. This research examines quantitative data to determine indicators using entropy and conducts case studies in the industry. The research results prove that the management support indicator is an essential factor in integrating ERP systems to develop the company's strategic business. The output research is the design of the integration model development of the ERP system. © 2023 IEEE.

The gradual decommissioning of fossil fuel-driven power plants, that traditionally provide most operational flexibility in power systems, has led to more frequent grid stability issues. To compensate for the lack of flexible resources, Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) in distribution networks can be employed. To facilitate the use of DERs, the aggregated flexibility in a distribution grid is commonly represented on a PQ-plane displaying the feasible active and reactive power exchange with the upstream grid. This paper proposes a fast feasible operating region mapping mechanism that utilizes a linear power flow approximation in combination with linearized generator, current, and voltage constraints to construct a high-dimensional polyhedral feasible set of DER power injections. The obtained polytope is projected onto the PQ-plane using Fourier-Motzkin Elimination to represent the aggregate network flexibility. Additionally, uncertainty in DER generation is addressed using chance-constraints. Our analysis of a modified 33-bus IEEE test system demonstrates that the proposed method obtains more accurate approximations than former geometric methods and is ten times faster than the tested optimization-based method. © 2022 IEEE.

The features present in large datasets significantly affect the performance of machine learning models. Redundant and irrelevant features will be rejected and cause a decrease in machine learning model performance. This paper proposes HyFeS-ROS-ANN: Hybrid Feature Selection and Resampling combination method for binary classification using artificial neural network multilayer perceptron (MLP). The first stage of this approach is to use a combination of two feature selection methods to select essential features that are highly correlated with model performance. The second stage of this approach is to use a combination of resampling methods to handle unbalanced data classes. Both approaches are applied to the academic performance classification model using the MLP neural network. This research dataset is obtained using three-dimensional (3D) frameworks such as the Big Five Personality to determine the Personality that affects academic performance from the student dimension, the Family Influence Scale (FIS), which measures factors that affect academic performance from the family dimension, and Higher Education Institutions Service Quality (HEISQUAL) to measure service quality and its influence on academic performance from the Education institution dimension. Previous research shows that the CoR-ANN algorithm has a model accuracy rate of 94%. The research results based on the dataset show that our proposed method can improve accuracy by selecting more relevant and essential features in improving model performance. The results show that the features are reduced from 135 to 108, while the HyFS-ROS-ANN model for binary classification accuracy increases to 100%. © 2023, Brno University of Technology. Indonesia's tourism sector, a cornerstone of its economy, has seen significant growth with both domestic and international tourists, drawn by its diverse landscapes and cultural sites. In 2022, the country welcomed around 10 million international visitors, indicating the industry's potential. In this context, employing artificial intelligence for personalized travel recommendations is crucial. This study proposes an innovative approach, converting tourism data into a bipartite format focused on the user-place relationship. We introduce the Enhanced Graph Convolutional Neural Network (Enhanced GCN), tailored for the tourism sector's complexities. Compared to the traditional Graph Convolutional Network (GCN), the Enhanced GCN shows superior predictive accuracy, reducing the Mean Squared Error (MSE) to 2.38. This advance represents a significant step in providing more accurate, customized travel suggestions. However, the current MSE suggests room for further improvement. Future research will aim to refine the Enhanced GCN, enhancing its ability to meet and predict tourists' needs in Indonesia's dynamic tourism environment. Ultimately, the goal is to use artificial intelligence to transform how visitors experience Indonesia's cultural and natural offerings, thereby bolstering the tourism industry's growth.. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a control system for un-manned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that track deformable objects. Using Event-Triggered (ET) principles and Image Moments-Based Nonlinear Model Predictive Control (NMPC), the suggested approach improves flexibility by triggering control changes in response to specific occurrences. The incorporation of Barrier Functions (BFs) enforces safety requirements, which are critical for negotiating uncertain terrains. The framework's implementation and testing on a UAV tracking deformable coastlines are intended to demonstrate its effectiveness in adapting to dynamic situations while adhering to safety limitations. © 2024 IEEE.
