Data mining was the data processing technique to be obtained knowledge or important pattern of data. One of the popular methods was the KNN (K-Nearest Neighbor) which was computational simplicity. There was some weakness of KNN, vulnerable in the data high dimensionality. It was caused of data high dimensionality, so that space can be occupied in instance to be greater. The method approach would be proposed in the research was the method to be omitted several numbers of features were irrelevant to the KNN method by using similarity measures (Euclidean distance, Correlation distance and Cosine similarity). The testing was done by testing the different three datasets and computed the average of accurate results. The results of testing have successes to be omitted the data features without decreasing accuracy, that the accuracy average of feature selection using the KNN algorithm: KNN without selection was 88.804%, KNN-Euclidean distance was 89.120%, KNN-Correlation distance is 89.567% and KNN-Cosine similarity was 89.134%.

Recently, various noise spectrum estimation techniques have been proposed. The problem of the conventional techniques has the underestimation of the noise spectrum due to the excessive guess of the speech presence probability. Therefore, we propose a highly accurate noise spectrum estimation method to solve this problem by applying a sigmoid or softplus functions to the speech presence probability. From the evaluation experiment, we confirm that the proposed methods can achieve higher noise estimation accuracy than conventional techniques. © 2019 IEEE.

Drones have been considered for use in various fields according to the performance improvement and the price down of devices. They are expected for some applications: disaster relief, farm field, security field, transportation field, etc. Some companies will employ the autopilot system for their business. However, they have to switch to manual operation in case of emergency due to the autopilot safety is not guaranteed. Therefore, a pilot must connect with the drone continuously by the network for remote monitoring. Cellular network systems are the candidate networks for remote monitoring. However, typical design of cellular networks does not assume user equipment devices in the air because antennas of cellular networks are usually aimed downward to reduce inter-cell interference. This means that drones may fly out a communication area of cellular networks. Therefore, business drones must communicate with some cellular networks to keep continuous communication. However, IP-based application will disconnect due to change of cellular networks. As a result, practical business drones’ operations require a continuous communication mechanism. This paper proposes a continuous remote control architecture for drone operations to improve safety of the autopilot function. The proposed architecture employs NTMobile technology as a seamless mobility protocol supporting continuous communication. Additionally, it also employs IP-based remote control application to control drones remotely. The evaluation system can acquire sensor information and exchange control information continuously when drones switch access networks. The proposed architecture can be a fundamental framework to realize a wide area drone operation service. © Springer International Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2019.

This paper reviews the NTIRE 2022 challenge on efficient single image super-resolution with focus on the proposed solutions and results. The task of the challenge was to super-resolve an input image with a magnification factor of ×4 based on pairs of low and corresponding high resolution images. The aim was to design a network for single image super-resolution that achieved improvement of efficiency measured according to several metrics including runtime, parameters, FLOPs, activations, and memory consumption while at least maintaining the PSNR of 29.00dB on DIV2K validation set. IMDN is set as the baseline for efficiency measurement. The challenge had 3 tracks including the main track (runtime), sub-track one (model complexity), and sub-track two (overall performance). In the main track, the practical runtime performance of the submissions was evaluated. The rank of the teams were determined directly by the absolute value of the average runtime on the validation set and test set. In sub-track one, the number of parameters and FLOPs were considered. And the individual rankings of the two metrics were summed up to determine a final ranking in this track. In sub-track two, all of the five metrics mentioned in the description of the challenge including runtime, parameter count, FLOPs, activations, and memory consumption were considered. Similar to sub-track one, the rankings of five metrics were summed up to determine a final ranking. The challenge had 303 registered participants, and 43 teams made valid submissions. Information technology has been focused to estimate growth degree of plants in agriculture. This paper focuses on leaf temperature that changes according to the activity of photosynthesis. Infrared cameras are a major method to measure leaf temperature in conventional methods. However, the expensive device price causes difficulty to install many sensors in practical fields. Infrared radiation sensors are new candidate device to estimate growth state by measuring leaf temperature. Since the price of infrared radiation sensors is inexpensive, we can install a lot of sensors into fields. Additionally, the consumed power of infrared radiation sensors is relatively small comparing to Infrared cameras. These features of infrared radiation sensors are appropriate for sensor networks working with a battery. This paper proposes a field sensor network to measure growth state of plants by infrared radiation sensors. Our goal is to realize a practical and inexpensive sensor network system with typical system on chip (SoC). Therefore, we employ a reasonable price SoC supporting IEEE 802.15.4 standard to design a unique device with various sensors. In order to realize multi-hop communication with low-power consumption, we propose a routing and media access control mechanisms for the developed system. The media access control technology realizes periodic sleep operation of all devices to enable long-term operation of the system. The routing control technology can construct a multi-hop network with the minimum number of hops. As the use of the IoT becomes widespread, the speed of data aggregation from end devices and data linkages between clouds becomes critical. In IoT services, vast amounts of data are often aggregated from tiny amounts of data generated from a large number of end devices. Therefore, if an IoT service is adopted in the current network infrastructures, a significant overhead is inevitable, such as through activities including name resolution using DNS in IP. In addition, as the header size in HTTP packets is relatively large, the load on the network further increases. To solve these problems, Information Centric networking (ICN) is being widely studied. Unlike the IP, the ICN aims to reduce the load on the network and shorten the data access time from the clients by distributing the data. In this study, we examined the mechanism of data linkage by using the following: (i) the MQ telemetry transport (MQTT) included in the ICN and (ii) shared memory blocks in the interworking points. From the experimental results obtained, we confirm that the clients in the proposed network configuration can acquire data with a uniform data access time independent of the number of interworking points.

In this paper, numerical simulation is conducted when total 5.3 million units of SOFC and PEFC are operated nationwide, for power generation configuration and electricity supply amount of general electric utilities before and after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Calculate the annual primary energy reduction amount when a large number of fuel cells are installed and operated. We have studied the terahertz response of a bulk single crystal of La0.875Sr0.125MnO3at around its Curie temperature, observing large changes in the real and imaginary parts of the optical conductivity as a function of magnetic field. The terahertz resistance and capacitance extracted from the optical conductivity rapidly increased with increasing magnetic field and did not show any sign of saturation up to 6 T, reaching 60% and 15%, respectively, at 180 K. The observed terahertz colossal magnetoresistance and magnetocapacitance effects can be qualitatively explained by using a two-component model that assumes the coexistence of two phases with vastly different conductivities. These results demonstrate the potential use of perovskite manganites for developing efficient terahertz devices based on magnetic modulations of the amplitude and phase of terahertz waves. In recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) has attracted attention according to the development of sensing technology and wireless communication technology. IoT devices are interconnected to realize a specific service with sensors and actuation functions over several communication methods. Internet Protocol (IP) exists as a basic communication technology for realizing an IoT system. Since IPv4 is a mainstream protocol on the Internet, the lack of compatibility between IPv4 and IPv6 should be great issues to realize IoT services. Additionally, recent networks employ the Network Address Port Translation (NAPT) technology to protect a network and to reduce the number of required IPv4 global addresses. The introduction of NAPT causes an accessibility issue due to the blocking of incoming packets. As a new issue, the mobility of IoT devices also becomes a concern about seamless communication because a change of IP address causes a disconnection of transport layer sessions. As a technique for solving these problems, the authors have developed CYber PHysical Overlay Network over Internet Communication (CYPHONIC) that supports accessibility and seamless mobility over the Internet. Since high-performance IoT devices typically implement the full IP stack, both IPv4 and IPv6 can be supported. Therefore, CYPHONIC can provide inter-connectivity among IoT devices. On the contrary, resource-constrained IoT devices with a low power operation support only the limited IP stack such as IPv6 over Low power Wireless Personal Area (6LowPAN). This paper proposes a new interconnectivity mechanism between IP networks and 6LowPAN by extending CYPHONIC. Therefore, the proposed mechanism can provide interconnectivity among 6LowPAN devices and IP devices to collaborate on a service. The proposed system introduces a gateway device for connecting between IP networks and 6LowPAN. Additionally, it also extends the signaling process of CYPHONIC to support 6LowPAN based IoT devices. The traditional automatic control system is composed of centralized control. The centralized controller obtains various information from sensors and controls some devices. Since centralized control is suitable for management in a limited area, it has some issues about scalability. In addition, almost all systems do not have any cooperation mechanisms for external services. Machine to Machine (M2M) is a new concept, where machines are connected and exchange information with each other, to realize a distributed control mechanism in recent years. M2M devices can realize a specific service by distributed installed sensors and actuators. This paper designs a cooperative signaling among M2M devices and a new framework of the M2M cooperative system with external service. The designed system can employ generic commercial devices as a part of a distributed system to realize a service. The prototype system uses Thread standard to realize a mesh network over IEEE 802.15.4-based wireless link. Since Thread is a low-power wireless mesh network protocol supporting 6LowPAN, each M2M device can communicate by IPv6 addresses.
