Deep neural networks generalize well on unseen data though the number of parameters often far exceeds the number of training examples. Recently proposed complexity measures have provided insights to understanding the generalizability in neural networks from perspectives of PAC-Bayes, robustness, overparametrization, compression and so on. In this work, we advance the understanding of the relations between the network's architecture and its generalizability from the compression perspective. Using tensor analysis, we propose a series of intuitive, data-dependent and easily-measurable properties that tightly characterize the compressibility and generalizability of neural networks;thus, in practice, our generalization bound outperforms the previous compression-based ones, especially for neural networks using tensors as their weight kernels (e.g. CNNs). Moreover, these intuitive measurements provide further insights into designing neural network architectures with properties favorable for better/guaranteed generalizability. Our experimental results demonstrate that through the proposed measurable properties, our generalization error bound matches the trend of the test error well. Our theoretical analysis further provides justifications for the empirical success and limitations of some widely-used tensor-based compression approaches. We also discover the improvements to the compressibility and robustness of current neural networks when incorporating tensor operations via our proposed layer-wise structure. It is crucial for the community including the government and health workers to collaborate to halt the spread of Covid-19. The idea of developing the mobile application surfaced from the previous findings. Previous researches have implemented and developed different features to better the application. The development of a mobile application to provide a platform that will assist people with information regarding patients that are around the perimeter of users to help notify them. With the help of the notification, users will be able to avoid the chances of them being in contact with the people (ODP), patients that are under surveillance (PDP) confirmed patients. All patients including ODP and PDP are required to have the application therefore, the Minister of Health will be able to track the geolocation of patients. Moreover, people will be able to be aware of patients that are around their perimeter. Therefore, with the help of the application, it will be able to help assist the community for them to be aware of and to be able to avoid being in contact with the infected patients.

This paper will implement the water level estimation of the dam from Myanmar. We use the time series stochastic model to calculate the water level estimation varying on in flow and consumption of dam. This approach is applying probability of Markovian Time Series. This paper based on rainfall and the other factors of dam water storage such as inflow and outflow of dam. This result estimate actual monthly water spread area and shows error is small. This research result also highlight that Markovian Time Series model is one of the best estimate processes for water level estimation.

Despite the absence of a lightcone structure, some solutions of Carroll gravity show black hole-like behaviour. We define Carroll black holes as solutions of Carroll gravity that exhibit Carroll thermal properties and have a Carroll extremal surface, notions introduced in our work. The latter is a Carroll analogue of a Lorentzian extremal surface. As examples, we discuss the Carroll versions of Schwarzschild, Reissner–Nordström, and BTZ black holes and black hole solutions of generic 1+1 dimensional Carroll dilaton gravity, including Carroll JT and Carroll Witten black holes. © 2023, CC BY.

Ammonia: An approach for deriving project-specific bug patterns

Finding and fixing buggy code is an important and cost-intensive maintenance task, and static analysis (SA) is one of the methods developers use to perform it. SA tools warn developers about potential bugs by scanning their source code for commonly occurring bug patterns, thus giving those developers opportunities to fix the warnings (potential bugs) before they release the software. Typically, SA tools scan for general bug patterns that are common to any software project (such as null pointer dereference), and not for project specific patterns. However, past research has pointed to this lack of customizability as a severe limiting issue in SA. Accordingly, in this paper, we propose an approach called Ammonia, which is based on statically analyzing changes across the development history of a project, as a means to identify project-specific bug patterns. Furthermore, the bug patterns identified by our tool do not relate to just one developer or one specific commit, they reflect the project as a whole and compliment the warnings from other SA tools that identify general bug patterns. Herein, we report on the application of our implemented tool and approach to four Java projects: Ant, Camel, POI, and Wicket. The results obtained show that our tool could detect 19 project specific bug patterns across those four projects. Next, through manual analysis, we determined that six of those change patterns were actual bugs and submitted pull requests based on those bug patterns. Temporal coherence of mechanical stimulation modulates tactile form perception

The human hand can detect both form and texture information of a contact surface. The detection of skin displacement (sustained stimulus) and changes in skin displacement (transient stimulus) are thought to be mediated in different tactile channels;however, tactile form perception may use both types of information. Here, we studied whether both the temporal frequency and the temporal coherency information of tactile stimuli encoded in sensory neurons could be used to recognize the form of contact surfaces. We used the fishbone tactile illusion (FTI), a known tactile phenomenon, as a probe for tactile form perception in humans. This illusion typically occurs with a surface geometry that has a smooth bar and coarse textures in its adjacent areas. When stroking the central bar back and forth with a fingertip, a human observer perceives a hollow surface geometry even though the bar is physically flat. We used a passive high-density pin matrix to extract only the vertical information of the contact surface, suppressing tangential displacement from surface rubbing. Participants in the psychological experiment reported indented surface geometry by tracing over the FTI textures with pin matrices of the different spatial densities (1.0 and 2.0 mm pin intervals). Human participants reported that the relative magnitude of perceived surface indentation steeply decreased when pins in the adjacent areas vibrated in synchrony. To address possible mechanisms for tactile form perception in the FTI, we developed a computational model of sensory neurons to estimate temporal patterns of action potentials from tactile receptive fields. Our computational data suggest that i) the temporal asynchrony of sensory neuron responses is correlated with the relative magnitude of perceived surface indentation and ii) the spatiotemporal change of displacements in tactile stimuli are correlated with the asynchrony of simulated sensory neuron responses for the fishbone surface patterns. Microorganism species can become pathogenic and cause bacterial infection, result from the imbalance in microbial ecosystem between host and microbe. Microorganisms emit secondary metabolites, known as volatile metabolites or organic compounds (VOCs) for various functions such as intra- or inter-species interactions, defense and attraction. Currently, VOCs are widely used as a biomarker for human diseases. This research is aimed to identify the relationship between microorganism species and volatile metabolite compound from the collected species and VOCs emitted organism data by using unsupervised machine learning approaches such as hierarchical clustering and graph-clustering method. Supervised machine learning methods also been used to classify the microorganism pathogenicity such as support vector machine (SVM) and random forest (RF). These data are collected from KNApSAcK and mVOC database where it provides most of the microorganism species and metabolites contents. From the collected data, there are in total of 1088 VOCs emitted by 517 microorganism species. As a result, the application of machine learning methods enable us to identify the relationship of species with their emitted VOCs and classify the microorganism species into their own pathogenicity. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) has emerged as a potent catalyst for transformation across many industries as a part of Industry 4.0. This review thoroughly examines IIoT applications, demonstrating how it enhances operational efficiency, informed decision-making, cost optimization, innovation, and workplace safety. While prior research has often concentrated on technical dimensions such as fog and edge computing, network protocols, or big data integration, several emerging and high-impact application areas remain underexplored. This study addresses that gap by systematically reviewing IIoT implementations in critical yet often overlooked domains, including environmental monitoring, agriculture, construction, healthcare, robotics, smart grids, and predictive maintenance. It offers fresh insights into how IIoT is being adapted to meet real-world challenges in these sectors. In addition to outlining the current landscape, the review identifies core barriers such as data security, interoperability, and system scalability. It underscores the importance of cross-sector collaboration and strategic alignment to fully leverage the transformative potential of IIoT. The paper concludes by outlining key research gaps and future opportunities to guide continued innovation and scholarly investigation.

Currently, the growth of information and technology is rapid. It makes a lot of things in various fields including education becoming more effective and efficient. In education, one of its implementation which is a game is proven to be a useful tool to support conventional teaching methods and bring a more natural understanding of learning materials. Moreover, as a product of the popular culture in modern society, video game mirrors the general culture practice in real life and reflects it via its own culture inside the game. This makes a video game can give a contribution to the social construction of reality as it affects the player's view towards learning in real life and vice versa. From there, we see that there is an opportunity for learning about religion to be supported by its utilization to provide an interactive and fun learning experience. In this paper, we discuss how a video game is implemented to support religious learning. The game was developed with the scrum method where we surveyed to gather the user requirements before the design step. The game design was made by using the use case diagram and storyboard, and it was built using Unity version 2017.3.0f3. © 2019 IEEE.

This works presents an innovative application of Markov Decision Process (MDP) to a medium-term mining logistics planning problem considering the mine-to-client supply chain. We implemented three distinct algorithms based on state-of-the-art approaches to solve large-scale problems, and compared their results. Furthermore, we combined all three variants in a single novel algorithm that attained fast convergence and may be an alternative to circumvent the curse of dimensionality underlying large scale problems.
