Covering the radiant cooling surface with infrared-transparent membrane effectively improves the condensation resistance and cooling capacity of radiant ***,the air layer structure formed by the infrared-transparent and double-layer hollow membranes is easy to destroy,resulting in condensation *** by the hollow structure of natural bamboo,an infrared-transparent bubble wrap assisted radiant cooling panel(BWRCP)aiming at improving the strength and cooling capacity was proposed by using the infrared-transparent bubble wrap consisting of infrared-transparent membrane and air-filled pores to layer the radiant cooling *** experimental investigation and numerical calculation of the cooling capacity of the infrared-transparent bubble wrap assisted radiant cooling system were carried *** results showed that the cooling capacity of BWRCP at condensation-free condition was 93.54 W/m^(2),which was 33%higher than traditional radiant cooling without covering infrared-transparent bubble *** results showed that the air-contact surface temperature of the infrared-transparent bubble wrap was higher than the dew point *** provides condensation-free operation in the thermal environment of 26℃and 45%–80%***,compared with traditional radiant cooling,BWRCP significantly improves the cooling capacity at condensation-free *** demonstrated a novel structure design and operation guidance for the high-performance radiant cooling technology.

Effect of Dry-method SBS on the Performance of SBS-modified Epoxy Reclaimed Asphalt

The use of epoxy resin (EP) to prepare epoxy recycled asphalt mixture can achieve the reuse of 100% reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP).However,the high stiffness and brittleness of epoxy resin result in insufficient crack resistance of *** address the issue,dry-method styrene-butadiene-styrene (DSBS) and epoxy resin were mixed with aged asphalt to prepare SBS-modified epoxy reclaimed asphalt (SERA).The micro fusion characteristics and mechanical properties of SERA were evaluated,and the optimal DSBS dosage was determined based on various *** results show that adding DSBS can enable the tensile toughness and low-temperature performance of SERA with less EP content to reach or exceed the performance level of epoxy reclaimed asphalt (ERA) with higher EP *** 30% EP content,the recommended dry-method SBS content is 9%;At 40% EP content,the recommended dry-method SBS content is 5%;When the EP content is 50%,the recommended dry-method SBS content is 7%.

In-depth investigation of contributing factors of fatal/severe-injury crashes at highway merging areas using machine learning classification methods

Highway on-ramp merging locations are vulnerable to traffic collisions inflicting fatal or serious injuries to drivers. Although numerous studies have uncovered the major contributing factors to crashes at on-ramp merging areas, none of these studies have focused on fatal/severe-injury crashes. This paper aims to provide an in-depth and systematic investigation on critical contributing factors of the high-severity crashes at highway merging areas. As part of the analysis, support vector machines (SVM) and random forest (RF) models were developed for a 10-year data set of crashes at more than 250 merging locations in Texas, United States, using 23 different crash attributes describing each incident to predict high-severity crashes. A sensitivity analysis was conducted to quantify the marginal effects of each contributing factor. The results indicate that there is an increased likelihood of fatal/severe-injury crashes when the number of highway lanes is high, and the number of lanes on the frontage roads/connector roads is low ( © 2025 Periodical Offices of Changâ€™an University

Multi-Vehicle Collaborative Trajectory Planning Based on Kaldor-Hicks Improvement

This paper employs lateral and longitudinal trajectory planning to generate candidate trajectories and discards those that do not satisfy the constraints imposed by single-vehicle conditions. Next, a collaborative trajectory combination set for multiple vehicles is derived from the candidate trajectories, with multi-vehicle constraints applied to eliminate combinations that fail to meet the required conditions. The objective function for each candidate trajectory set is first calculated using a single-vehicle objective function, after which a multi-vehicle objective function based on the Kaldor-Hicks improvement principle is constructed. Finally, the paper introduces an improved particle swarm optimization method for multi-vehicle collaborative trajectory planning. The results demonstrate that the dynamic spatiotemporal occupancy growth rate, under varying planning times and frequencies, is at least 19%. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm ensures efficient allocation of travel resources, preventing competition among vehicles that could compromise system feasibility. When verified with HighD trajectory data, the algorithm not only delivers superior optimization results but also exhibits lower standard deviations in dynamic spatiotemporal occupancy and speed compared to real-world data. Finally, the algorithm’s superiority in real-time decision-making and stability is confirmed. Note to Practitioners—In the context of mixed traffic comprising both autonomous and human-driven vehicles, this paper tackles the challenge of coordinating autonomous vehicles to improve traffic efficiency and safety in real-time environments. It presents a promising approach to enhancing cooperative behavior in complex scenarios by integrating real-time data streams to optimize adaptability and ensure equitable driving efficiency across different vehicle types. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

The planning of urban rail station connection facilities is an important influencing factor to improve the efficiency of urban rail connection, enhance the service capacity of urban rail transportation and expand the scope of passenger attraction. As an important part of the planning of station connection facilities, the refined estimation of the scale of connection facilities is of guiding significance for optimizing the scale of the existing configuration of connection facilities and predicting the scale of future station connection facilities. The connection demand prediction model is constructed to obtain the sharing rate of each connection mode, and the refined land use information of each entrance and exit of the station is integrated with the sharing rate of each connection mode, which is substituted into the integrated scale measurement model of the connection facilities, and the Gao Shengqiao Metro Station in Chengdu is used as an example to quantitatively study the scale of the configuration of the connection facilities of the urban rail station by combining the functional classification of the station's land use and the scale measurement model. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Based on the multi-mode transport network environment, an experimental platform for multi-mode combined route choice behavior was built to explore the multi-mode combined route choice laws of subjects with different information acceptance willingness. Firstly, based on information acceptance willingness data, the subjects were divided into three classes with respectively low, medium and high willingness to accept information by potential profile analysis. Secondly, z-Tree software was used to set up the transport network with corresponding route cost function, and 200 rounds of experiments about multi-mode combined route choice for subjects of different classes were then conducted. Finally, the experimental data was processed and analyzed and the following results were obtained. The subjects were almost unwilling to change strategies after 40 rounds of experiments, and the experimental transport network reached a balanced state. There are differences in the multi-mode combined route choice behavior among subjects with different information acceptance willingness: the average travel cost shows low > medium > high;The decision switching frequency shows medium > high > low;Compared with subjects with low information acceptance willingness, subjects with medium information acceptance willingness are more inclined to direct response pattern, while subjects with high information acceptance willingness are more inclined to opposite response pattern. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. This study introduces an innovative error-adjusted pedestrian flow prediction model, termed Fod-LSTM, which effectively addresses two key challenges in data prediction: data inconsistency and the large proportion of zero data, both of which can significantly compromise prediction accuracy. By seamlessly integrating the state probability statistical strategy from the Hidden Marker Model (HMM), the study constructs a robust hybrid model, HMM-Fod-LSTM. Experiment results show that the proposed model is superior to the other four hybrid models in terms of accuracy and crowding point accuracy. This robust performance underscores the model's ability to handle the complexities and uncertainties inherent in the pedestrian flow prediction problem. This advancement holds promise for urban managers, enabling more informed decisions to alleviate congestion and improve residents' quality of life. © ASCE.

Investigations into rail corrugation within metro systems have traditionally focused on specific mechanisms,thereby limiting the generalizability of proposed *** the commonalities in rail corrugation across diverse metro lines remains pivotal for elucidating its underlying *** present study conducted extensive field surveys and tracking tests across 14 Chinese metro *** employing t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding(t-SNE)for dimensional reduction and employing the unsupervised clustering algorithm DBSCAN,the research redefines the classification of metro rail corrugation based on characteristic *** analysis encompassed spatial distribution and temporal evolution of this *** revealed that floating slab tracks exhibited the highest proportion of rail corrugation at 47%.Notably,ordinary monolithic bed tracks employing damping fasteners were more prone to inducing rail *** primarily manifested in curve sections with radii between 300 and 500 m,featuring ordinary monolithic bed track and steel-spring floating slab track structures,with wavelengths typically between 30 and 120 ***–slip vibrations of the wheel–rail system maybe led to short-wavelength corrugations(40–60 mm),while longer wavelengths(200–300 mm)exhibited distinct fatigue damage characteristics,mainly observed in steel-spring floating slab tracks and small-radius curve sections of ordinary monolithic bed tracks and ladder sleeper tracks.A classification system comprising 57 correlated features categorized metro rail corrugation into four distinct *** research outcomes serve as critical benchmarks for validating various theories pertaining to rail corrugation formation.

Visual attributes, as middle-level semantics connecting the underlying visual information and the advanced visual semantics, are considered to be an effective way to bridge the "semantic gap" between the high-level semantics of building project management and the underlying visual data information. This paper provides a critical review of the research on visual attribute learning in the construction industry, with literature data selected from the Web of Science (WOS) database, and reveals the direction of research on visual attributes in the construction industry and its evolutionary trends through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
