Fully relativistic energies,transition properties,and lifetimes of lithium-like germanium

Employing two fully relativistic methods,the multi-reference configuration Dirac-Hartree-Fock(MCDHF)methodand the relativistic many-body perturbation theory(RMBPT)method,we report energies and lifetime values for the lowest35 energy levels of the(1s^(2))nl configurations(where the principal quantum number n=2-6 and the angular quantum numberl=0,...,n-1)of lithium-like germanium(Ge XXX),as well as complete data on the transition wavelengths,radiativerates,absorption oscillator strengths,and line strengths between the *** the allowed(E1)and forbidden(magneticdipole M1,magnetic quadrupole M2,and electric quadrupole E2)ones are *** results from the two methodsare consistent with each other and align well with previous accurate experimental and theoretical *** assess theoverall accuracies of present RMBPT results to be likely the most precise ones to *** present fully relativistic resultsshould be helpful for soft x-ray laser research,spectral line identification,plasma modeling and *** datasetspresented in this paper are openly available at https://***/10.57760/sciencedb.j00113.00135.

Pulsed Doppler radars are commonly used in military applications, especially in aircraft and missile systems, as they are able to detect and track fast-moving targets, such as enemy aircraft, while filtering out ground clutter and slower-moving objects. Classification of modulation types in airborne radar signals is essential for ensuring efficient and reliable communication, target identification, and interference rejection. This research paper presents a comprehensive study on modulation classification techniques for radar signals on an airborne module. The transmitter identity message signal is coded with pseudo-random noise codes and modulated using five modulations, namely, BASK, BFSK, BPSK, QAM and QPSK. Additionally, it is also subjected to Additive White Gaussian Noise(AWGN) and Rayleigh distribution for multipath fading in wireless transmission environments. The paper proposes a modulation recognition scheme based on multi-class classification, hierarchical feature extraction using a convolutional neural network (CNN) and residual neural network (ResNet50) architecture. The simulated result indicates that the proposed method demonstrates adaptability to modulational recognition even in low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) environments. © 2024 IEEE.

Ion-focused propagation of a relativistic electron beam in the self-generated plasma in atmosphere

It is known that ion-focused regime(IFR)can effectively suppress expansion of a relativistic electron beam(REB).Using the particle-in-cell Monte Carlo collision(PIC-MCC)method,we numerically investigate the propagation of an REB in neutral *** results demonstrate that the beam body is charge neutralization and a stable IFR can be *** a result,the beam transverse dimensions and longitudinal velocities keep close to the initial *** also calculate the charge and current neutralization factors of the *** with envelope equations,we obtain the variations of beam envelopes,which agree well with the PIC ***,both the energy loss and instabilities of the REB may lead to a low transport efficiency during long-range *** is proved that decreasing the initial pulse length of the REB can avoid the influence of electron *** parts of REB pulses to build a long-distance IFR in advance can improve the beam quality of subsequent ***,a long-distance IFR may contribute to the implementation of long-range propagation of the REB in space environment.

Metal-halide perovskite nanocrystals(NCs)have gained significant attention in the field of optoelectronic and photonic devices due to their promising *** their exceptional optical properties,the impact of different synthetic strategies on the fundamental nature of NCs,such as nonradiative recombination centers,remains poorly *** this study,we investigated the photophysical properties of CsPbBr_(3) NCs synthesized using two distinct methods,hot injection and ligand-assisted reprecipitation,at the individual particle *** observed different blinking behaviors under specific photoexcitation power densities and proposed,through intensity-lifetime analysis and Monte-Carlo simulations,that these different synthetic strategies can fabricate NCs with similar crystal structures but distinct surface quenchers with varying energy levels,which significantly affected the photo-induced blinking-down and blinking-up behaviors in individual *** findings indicate a practical and feasible approach for controlling defect engineering in perovskite NCs,with significant implications for their use in optoelectronic and other technological applications.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) modeling is important for synthesis of the signal for pathology and compressed representation of the signal. Autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model provides model parameters based on current and previous samples. In this paper, we present the optimization of the ARIMA model hyperparameters using grid search (GS) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) techniques. At first, the preprocessing of the ECG is done using a discrete wavelet transform base approach. Then, the R-peaks are detected along with the cardiac beat extraction. Each cardiac cycle is then modeled using ARIMA model, whose hyperparameters are optimized by GS and PSO. For validation and testing, the different cardiac rhythms (normal and abnormal) and healthy and cardiac diseases are used from mitdb and ptbdb data under PhysioNet. Over six types of cardiac rhythms from the mitdb database, the mean absolute error of 1.56times 10^{-2} text{mV} and 0.46times 10^{-2} text{mV} and three types of cardiac rhythms from ptbdb database, the mean absolute error of 0.29times 10^{-2}text{mV} and 0.19times 10^{-2}text{mV} were obtained with GS and PSO respectively. In general, it was found that the error figures are better for PSO based technique. © 2022 IEEE.

Marine transportation is still the primary source of global transportation. The propeller, which is a critical component of the propulsion system, must be designed with multiple constraints and objectives to satisfy the need. Recent studies propose that utilizing an improved optimization algorithm and computational analysis would explore better designs than conventional methods. In the present study, the elitist particle swarm optimization (EPSO) technique is implemented to optimize the design of a marine propeller. Potsdam’s Conventional Propeller VP 1304 is used as a benchmark design case. Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equation-based computational fluid dynamics (CFD) along with vortex lattice method (VLM) and fluid-structure interaction (FSI) model is used for computational analysis. The results obtained in this study are validated against the previously published experimental data. An optimized propeller design is proposed based on the elitist particle swarm optimization technique. It is observed that the proposed design shows improved open water performance for lower advance coefficient (J) values based on the given constraints. It is also observed that open water efficiency is improved by 7% for J=0.6 compared to the original design. The one-way fluid-structure interaction analysis shows that the proposed design is structurally stable under open water test conditions. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Construction of efficient Prussian blue analogue electrocatalyst has garnered widespread attention in advancement of electrochemical water splitting. Prussian blue, a subclass of metal-organic frameworks serves as exemplary representative of cyanide-based coordination polymer materials. Until now, a remarkable investigation on transition metals for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) was conducted to improve non-precious electrocatalyst. We introduce simple strategy for the successful formation of CoFe2O4 derived from CoFe Prussian blue analogue (PBA). Structural transformation of PBA to metal oxide was further studied employing X-ray diffraction, Raman, FT-IR and scanning electron microscopy analysis. The prepared CoFe PBA nanoparticles were evolved into octahedra shaped CoFe2O4 as investigated by the scanning electron microscopy. The electrochemical activities of CoFe PBA derived CoFe2O4 catalyst was examined in alkaline potassium hydroxide (1M KOH) electrolyte solution. Based on the results obtained from the electrochemical studies, CoFe PBA derived CoFe2O4 has attained the 73 mV and 118.5 mV/dec Tafel slope value and high 906 cm2 electrochemical active surface area (ECSA) and 0.07 Ω charge transfer resistance value towards hydrogen evolution activity. Additionally, long-term sustainability of fabricated electrode was confirmed through a chronoamperometry stability test conducted over 12 h at 10 mA/cm2. Therefore, this study provides direct approach to designing good nanomaterials for HER studies. © 2025

In this work, we present the implementation of a temperature measurement and control system, suitable for testing new gas sensors based on metal oxide nanoparticles. The system consists of a software part, and an electronic part. In the software section, an interface was designed using graphic design software. This interface ensures the display, control and recording of the working temperature while ensuring a real-time handshake with the electronics part. The latter consists of a thermocouple type K, a heating resistor, a microcontroller-based board and a power circuit. The microcontroller-based board provides reading, local display and temperature control according to the desired set point value. The implemented control algorithm ensures real-time control parameters change according to the set point and the measuring period. A full bridge rectifier, a photocoupler, an optocoupler and a TRIAC form the power part. This system works as follows: The zero pass can be detected by the full bridge rectifier and the photocoupler, measure the temperature by the thermocouple, calculate the pulse delay with the PID control and create the pulse on the pin connected to the optocoupler that will apply a pulse to the TRIAC. This will control the amount of energy passed to the AC heating resistor. This allows to find a low static maximum error. The strength of this system is the algorithm generates, in real-time, the parameters of PID regulation, control of energy quantity using the zero-detect method, and stability over time. © 2025 IEEE.
