Compared with traditional landmine detection methods, the unmanned aerial vehicle borne measure is more suitable for rapidly detecting large-area minefields of scatterable landmines. We propose a multispectral fusion strategy based on a deep learning model to facilitate landmine detection. With a UAV-borne multispectral cruise platform, we set up a multispectral dataset of scatterable landmines, where varieties of minefields with different ground vegetation environments are considered. The proposed technique includes a structure with adjustable weights to fulfill the fusion and refinement, and maximize the utilization of multispectral information. Experimental comparisons of the predictions before and after fusion demonstrate that our proposed fusion strategy can improve the recall rate and achieve significant gains over single-spectrum detection, especially for the occluded mines, and confirm the feasibility of the multispectral data with reasonable processing for the landmine detection. © 2022 IEEE.

Multi-station TDOA positioning is a more accurate positioning method, which can locate the acoustic emitter by processing the arrival time of signals collected by three or more measuring stations. This paper presents a closed-form localization algorithm using the angle-of-arrival and difference time of scan time measurements from the scan-based sonar (SBS).The basic principle of multi station TDOA passive location is proposed. Location scheme based on the combination of different platforms is used. The basic principle of TDOA passive location is discussed, as well as the realization scheme of the main problems such as the synchronization of observation station and acoustic target, the selection of ground observation station, error correction and so on. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Magnetic method is one of the main methods of UXO detection. This paper uses cesium optical pump magnetic detection module combined with UAV to build an unmanned UXO detection system, and introduces the detection principle and composition of the system. At the same time, the system is used to detect four kinds of UXO targets. The test results show that the system can detect ferromagnetic UXO targets, and can locate the position of UXO targets through magnetic anomaly images. Finally, the limit detection range of four kinds of targets is tested, and the limit detection range of 155 projectiles can reach 4.5m, which meets the actual detection requirements © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Speckle suppression is a important preprocessing step for synthetic aperture radar (SAR). In this paper, a speckle suppression algorithm based boundary and contextual constraint is studied for enhancing image, which includes the establishment of speckle model based on boundary constraint, the analysis of speckle factor weighted constraint model based on contextual regularization, and the process of speckle factor estimation. The performance of this algorithm is validated by using the data acquired over an airship mounted SAR system. © 2020 Institution of Engineering and technology. All rights reserved.

The traditional single-frequency metal mine detector is limited by the single-frequency component, which is difficult to meet the requirements of high-accuracy detection of multiple types of mine targets. The modulation square wave is used to transmit the multi-frequency signal based on the multi-frequency electromagnetic induction technology. The phase-locked amplifier is used to extract the signal feature of each frequency component. The naive bayesian algorithm is used to classify metal targets according to the extracted feature vectors. This method can effectively improve target classification accuracy compared with single-frequency metal mine detectors. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The instrument detection methods of underwater part of beach obstacle mainly include multi-beam bathymetric system and three-dimensional panoramic imaging sonar system. SeaBat T50-P multi beam bathymetry and BV5000-1350 sonar system are widely used in the area of underwater detection. The underwater part of beach obstacles is measured and analyzed, and the application scope of both equipment is discussed. The results show that the BV5000-1350 sonar system can be used to detect underwater incomplete obstacles with wider application scope, high accuracy, convenient installation of instruments, and no auxiliary equipment such as navigation, positioning and attitude sensor is needed;SeaBat T50-P multi-beam bathymetric system has high requirements for the structure of the measured object, moderate accuracy, and is more suitable for large-scale underwater obstacle survey. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The theory of Characteristic Modes can better express the physical concept of radiator. A dual-band broadband conical beam antenna operating at Ku-/ Ka-band is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna adopts a novel across-layer folded structure which consists of two substrates. A circular patch with coupling slot is printed on the lower substrate as a monopole at Ku-band, and a circular patch and a loop patch are printed on the upper substrate to achieve operating at Ka-band. A wideband performance is obtained by introducing shorting vias to excite TM01 and TM02 mode in both bands. The simulation results show that the proposed antenna operates at 11.74 GHz-14.47 GHz in Ku-band and 32.20 GHz-35.63 GHz in Ka-band with 10 dB impedance bandwidth of 20.8% and 10.1%. And conical beam radiation patterns are achieved within the two bands, the peak gains in the lower and upper bands are 5.4 dBi and 9.9 dBi respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to solve the practical operation training problem of an optical sighting telescope in certain weapon system, the application research of simulated target technology is carried out. According to the tactical and technical characteristics of sight and battlefield target, based on the embedded simulation framework, a series of simulation target technologies, such as constructing the optical characteristic model of target, fitting the target trajectory, encapsulating the characteristic information of target in the typical scene, are used to explore the technical route of actual combat training relying on actual equipment and simulation target, and realize the training scene and its model. The motion state of the ocean surface is changeable and has special irregularity. It is impossible to describe these characteristics in detail, which leads to the low accuracy of simulation for the sea surface. A simulation method of realistic dynamic ocean surface based on 3D sonar image algorithm is proposed. The number of adjacent points iteration of two adjacent images is calculated, and all the dynamic shallow surface sonar images are matched and combined. According to the edge coordinate information between the nearest adjacent images, the overlapping part between the two sonar image frames is analyzed. The two frames of sonar images beyond the threshold range of overlap are registered by ICP algorithm, The simulation of the dynamic ocean surface with the statistical model and FFT based wave generation method is carried out. The simulation results show that the research method of 3D sonar image algorithm is more accurate and can achieve more real simulation results. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
