Multimodal Cross-Attention Mechanism-Based Algorithm for Elderly Behavior Monitoring and Recognition

In contrast to the general population, behavior recognition among the elderly poses increased specificity and difficulty, rendering the reliability and usability aspects of safety monitoring systems for the elderly more challenging. Hence, this study proposes a multi-modal perception-based solution for an elderly safety monitoring recognition system. The proposed approach introduces a recognition algorithm based on multi-modal cross-attention mechanism, innovatively incorporating complex information such as scene context and voice to achieve more accurate behavior recognition. By fusing four modalities, namely image, skeleton, sensor data, and audio, we further enhance the accuracy of recognition. Additionally, we introduce a novel human-robot interaction mode, where the system associates directly recognized intentions with robotic actions without explicit commands, delivering a more natural and efficient elderly assistance paradigm. This mode not only elevates the level of safety monitoring for the elderly but also facilitates a more natural and efficient caregiving approach. Experimental results demonstrate significant improvement in recognition accuracy for 11 typical elderly behaviors compared to existing methods.

An anti-aliasing filtering of quantum images in spatial domain using a pyramid structure

As a part of quantum image processing,quantum image filtering is a crucial technology in the development of quantum ***-pass filtering can effectively achieve anti-aliasing effects on ***,most quantum image filterings are based on classical domains and grayscale images,and there are relatively fewer studies on anti-aliasing in the quantum *** paper proposes a scheme for anti-aliasing filtering based on quantum grayscale and color image scaling in the spatial *** achieves the effect of anti-aliasing filtering on quantum images during the scaling ***,we use the novel enhanced quantum representation(NEQR)and the improved quantum representation of color images(INCQI)to represent classical *** aliasing phenomena are more pronounced when images are scaled down,this paper focuses only on the anti-aliasing effects in the case of ***,we perform anti-aliasing filtering on the quantum representation of the original image and then use bilinear interpolation to scale down the image,achieving the anti-aliasing *** constructed pyramid model is then used to select an appropriate image for upscaling to the original image ***,the complexity of the circuit is *** to the images experiencing aliasing effects solely due to scaling,applying anti-aliasing filtering to the images results in smoother and clearer ***,the anti-aliasing filtering allows for manual intervention to select the desired level of image smoothness.

MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are closely related to numerous complex human diseases,therefore,exploring miRNA-disease associations(MDAs)can help people gain a better understanding of complex disease *** increasing number of computational methods have been developed to predict ***,the sparsity of the MDAs may hinder the performance of many *** addition,many methods fail to capture the nonlinear relationships of miRNA-disease network and inadequately leverage the features of network and neighbor *** this study,we propose a deep matrix factorization model with variational autoencoder(DMFVAE)to predict potential *** first decomposes the original association matrix and the enhanced association matrix,in which the enhanced association matrix is enhanced by self-adjusting the nearest neighbor method,to obtain sparse vectors and dense vectors,***,the variational encoder is employed to obtain the nonlinear latent vectors of miRNA and disease for the sparse vectors,and meanwhile,node2vec is used to obtain the network structure embedding vectors of miRNA and disease for the dense ***,sample features are acquired by combining the latent vectors and network structure embedding vectors,and the final prediction is implemented by convolutional neural network with channel *** evaluate the performance of DMFVAE,we conduct five-fold cross validation on the HMDD v2.0 and HMDD v3.2 datasets and the results show that DMFVAE performs ***,case studies on lung neoplasms,colon neoplasms,and esophageal neoplasms confirm the ability of DMFVAE in identifying potential miRNAs for human diseases.

A High-Quality and Efficient Bus-Aware Global Router

As advanced technology nodes enter the nanometer era, the complexity of integrated circuit design is increasing, and the proportion of bus in the net is also increasing. The bus routing has become a key factor affecting the performance of the chip. In addition, the existing research does not distinguish between bus and non-bus in the complete global routing process, which directly leads to the expansion of bus deviation and the degradation of chip performance. In order to solve these problems, we propose a high-quality and efficient bus-aware global router, which includes the following key strategies: By introducing the routing density graph, we propose a routing model that can simultaneously consider the routability of non-bus and the deviation value of bus;A dynamic routing resource adjustment algorithm is proposed to optimize the bus deviation and wirelength simultaneously, which can effectively reduce the bus deviation;We propose a layer assignment algorithm consider deviation to significantly reduce the bus deviation of the 3D routing solution;And a depth-first search (DFS)-based algorithm is proposed to obtain multiple routing solutions, from which the routing result with the lowest deviation is selected. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithms can effectively reduce bus deviation compared with the existing algorithms, so as to obtain high-quality 2D and 3D routing solutions considering bus deviation.

Energy-Aware Task Offloading for Rotatable STAR-RIS-Enhanced Mobile Edge computing Systems

Simultaneously transmitting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surface (STAR-RIS) can expand the coverage of mobile edge computing (MEC) services by reflecting and transmitting signals simultaneously, enabling full-space coverage. The orientation of the STAR-RIS plays a crucial role in optimizing the gain of received and transmitted signals, and a rotatable STAR-RIS offers potential enhancement for MEC systems. This article investigates a rotatable STAR-RIS-assisted MEC system, operated under three protocols, namely energy splitting (ES), mode switching, and time switching. The goal is to minimize energy consumption for multiple moving user devices (UDs) through the joint optimization of STAR-RIS configurations, orientation, computation resource allocation, transmission power, and task offloading strategies. Considering the mobility of UDs, we model the original optimization problem as a sequential decision-making process across multiple time slots. The high-dimensional, highly coupled, and nonlinear nature makes it a challenging nonconvex decision-making problem for traditional optimization algorithms. Therefore, a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) approach is employed, specifically utilizing soft actor-critic algorithm to train the DRL model. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms the benchmarks in both convergence speed and energy efficiency, while reducing energy consumption by up to 52.7% compared to the fixed STAR-RIS scheme. Among three operating protocols, the ES yields the best performance. © 2014 IEEE.

FastMS-CDA: speeding up adversarial sample generation with multistage diffusion model

With the growing prevalence of deep learning, the risk of adversarial attacks has become increasingly prominent. Among the many key challenges, the efficiency of adversarial sample generation remains an urgent problem, as most traditional attack methods suffer from high computational costs and long generation times. To address this limitation, we propose a novel adversarial attack framework based on a multistage diffusion model-FastMS-CDA. Unlike traditional diffusion attacks that uniformly inject perturbations across the entire denoising trajectory, FastMS-CDA divides the denoising process into multiple sub-stages, allowing perturbations to be injected at each stage. This design not only accelerates the sampling process, but also enhances the success rate of adversarial attacks. Furthermore, we have designed an evaluation metric aimed at dynamically balancing attack success rate and generation time, enabling flexible optimization for specific application needs, making FastMS-CDA both efficient and practical. Extensive experiments conducted on CIFAR-10, MNIST, SVHN, and ImageNet demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. On the MNIST dataset, FastMS-CDA generates each image in just 0.5 milliseconds while maintaining a high attack success rate, outperforming several state-of-the-art baseline methods in both effectiveness and efficiency. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Integer multiple quantum image scaling based on NEQR and bicubic interpolation

As a branch of quantum image processing,quantum image scaling has been widely ***,most of the existing quantum image scaling algorithms are based on nearest-neighbor interpolation and bilinear interpolation,the quantum version of bicubic interpolation has not yet been *** this work,we present the first quantum image scaling scheme for bicubic interpolation based on the novel enhanced quantum representation(NEQR).Our scheme can realize synchronous enlargement and reduction of the image with the size of 2^(n)×2^(n) by integral ***,the image is represented by NEQR and the original image coordinates are obtained through multiple CNOT ***,16 neighborhood pixels are obtained by quantum operation circuits,and the corresponding weights of these pixels are calculated by quantum arithmetic ***,a quantum matrix operation,instead of a classical convolution operation,is used to realize the sum of convolution of these *** simulation experiments and complexity analysis,we demonstrate that our scheme achieves exponential speedup over the classical bicubic interpolation algorithm,and has better effect than the quantum version of bilinear interpolation.

Degradation-Trend-Aware Deep Neural Network with Attention Mechanism for Bearing Remaining Useful Life Prediction

Remaining useful life (RUL) prediction of bearings has extraordinary significance for prognostics and health management (PHM) of rotating machinery. RUL prediction approaches based on deep learning have been dedicated to finding a nonlinear mapping relationship between nonstationary monitoring data and RUL. However, most existing approaches pay little attention to the degradation trend of diverse health stages of bearing and lack the discriminative power of crucial degradation features, resulting in the loss of some important information associated with RUL. To address this challenge, this article proposes a novel RUL prediction framework based on degradation-trend-aware deep neural network with attention mechanism (DTADAN). First the multidirection features with evident degradation trend are extracted via the analysis of bearing vibration signal from both time-domain and time-frequency domain. Next, the deep neural network architecture with attention mechanism is utilized to adaptively learn the critical degradation features beneficial for RUL prediction. Distinct from the existing approaches, the proposed framework is able to dynamically extract key degradation features of the bearing including degradation trend information and effectively fuse multidirection information to improve RUL prediction accuracy. The performance of the proposed approach is evaluated via case studies on XJTU-SY bearing dataset and PRONOSTIA bearing dataset. Compared with other state-of-the-art approaches, the proposed framework has better predictive accuracy and robustness. Additionally, interpretable analysis is provided to reveal the process of model learning and data characteristics, and the analysis results are helpful in guiding model learning. © 2020 IEEE.

Joint Vehicle Pairing, Spectrum Assignment, and Power Control for Sum-Rate Maximization in NOMA-Based V2X Underlaid Cellular Networks

Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) underlaid cellular networks in underlaid mode suffer catastrophic co-channel interference caused by spectrum sharing, results in a reduced system sum-rate. To cope with this, this work studies a social-mobility-aware nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA)-enabled V2X underlaid cellular network to mitigate the co-channel interference and improve the sum rate. By jointly optimizing vehicle pairing and resources, a sum-rate maximization problem is formulated under the diverse quality of service requirements of both cellular and vehicular users. The formulated problem is proved to be a nondeterministic polynomial-time (NP)-hard problem and is difficult to solve. As an alternative, we propose a NOMA-based joint vehicle pairing, spectrum assignment, and power control algorithm (NOMA-JVP-SA-PCA), with which the original problem is decomposed into two disjoint subproblems, i.e., 1) joint vehicle pairing and spectrum assignment subproblem and 2) power control subproblem. Dealing the first subproblem, we propose a heuristic social-mobility-aware vehicle pairing algorithm (HSMA-VPA) and a revised Kuhn-Munkres-based spectrum assignment algorithm (KM-SAA) to acquire the vehicle pairing and spectrum assignment solutions. Then, solving the second subproblem, a closed-form power solution is obtained utilizing a 3-D geometric power control approach (3D-PCA). Finally, we solve the original problem through an iterative method. Simulation results show that the proposed NOMA-JVP-SA-PCA effectively enhances the sum rate and outperforms the baseline algorithms around 24%-53% within a specific range. © 2025 IEEE.
