A modified four-state CVQKD protocol is proposed to increase the maximum transmission distance and tolerable excess noise in the presence of Gaussian lossy and noisy channel by using a noiseless linear amplifier (NLA). An ideal NLA with gain g can increase the maximum admission losses by 20log10g dB. Further, the imperfections in a practical NLA, such as the finite detection efficiency and imperfect single-photon source, are included in consideration.

Approximate string matching is one of the most important technologies in the field of computer science, and it is widely used in network security, computational biology, information retrieval, spelling correction and other areas. In these areas, there are huge amounts of data need to be addressed in time. So it requires a high- performance string matching algorithm. At the same time, with the introduction of Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA), the general-purpose computing of Graphic Processing Unit (GPU) extended to more applications. This paper proposed a bit-parallel multiple approximate string match algorithm, and developed a GPU implementation which achieved speedups about 28 relative to a single-thread CPU code.

This paper addresses the power con- trol problems of Cognitive Radio (CR) trader transmission power and interference tempera- ture constraints. First, we propose the interfer- ence constraint which ensures that the Quality of Service (QoS) standards for primary users is considered and a non-cooperative game power control model. Based on the proposed model, we developed a logical utility function based on the Signal-to-Interference-Noise Ratio (S/NR) and a novel algorithm network power control. that is suitable for CR Then, the existence and uniqueness of the Nash Equilibrium (NE) in our utility function are proved by the principle of game theory and the corresponding optimi- zations. Compared to traditional algorithms, the proposed one could converge to an NE in 3-5 iterative operations by setting an appropriate pricing factor. Finally, simulation results ver- ified the stability and superiority of the novel algorithm in flat-fading channel environments.

As is well known, the unified point addition formula is useful for resisting side channel attacks in elliptic curve cryptography. Furthermore, if the unified formula is complete, which means it is valid for any two points, then there are no exceptional cases to be described particularly. This feature is especially preferable for elegant codes of elliptic crypto-algorithms. Therefore, the unified and also complete point addition formula can provide the advantage for good security and convenient implementation. In this paper, we exploit sufficient and necessary condition for the existence of unified and complete point addition formula on several known elliptic curve models such as Weierstrass cu- bics, Jacobi quartics, Edwards curves, etc.. Moreover, we study another form of elliptic curves called Selmer curves. For practical application, we finally give some numerical examples of cryptographic secure Selmer curves.

Bacteriorhodopsin (bR) is a light-sensitive protein which has a proton-pump function, and is found in the cell membrane of Halobacterium salinarum inhabiting the salt lake. Optical excitation of bR at an electrode-electrolyte interface generates differential photocurrents while an incident light is turned on and off. This unique functional response is similar to that seen in retinal neurons. This paper describes the fabrication and evaluation of the dip-coated bR thin films, photocurrent characteristics, and biomimetic artificial retinas with the bR thin films.

With the development of digital signal processing technology, the demand on the signal processor speed has become increasingly high. This paper describes the high-speed signal processing hardware platform design. There are two boards, high-speed signal processing carrier board using Xilinx newest Virtex-7 FPGA family XC7VX485T chip as high-speed signal processor, data Conversion daughter card using ADS5474 and DAC5686 from TI to achieve high-speed signal collection and digital to analog conversion, and the FMC interface is used to transform high-speed signal between daughter cards and carrier board. This design provides a hardware implementation and algorithm verification platform for high-speed digital signal processing system.
