Visual question answering(VQA)is a multimodal task,involving a deep understanding of the image scene and the question’s meaning and capturing the relevant correlations between both modalities to infer the appropriate *** this paper,we propose a VQA system intended to answer yes/no questions about real-world images,in *** support a robust VQA system,we work in two directions:(1)Using deep neural networks to semantically represent the given image and question in a fine-grainedmanner,namely ResNet-152 and Gated Recurrent Units(GRU).(2)Studying the role of the utilizedmultimodal bilinear pooling fusion technique in the *** the model complexity and the overall model *** fusion techniques could significantly increase the model complexity,which seriously limits their applicability for VQA *** far,there is no evidence of how efficient these multimodal bilinear pooling fusion techniques are for VQA systems dedicated to yes/no ***,a comparative analysis is conducted between eight bilinear pooling fusion techniques,in terms of their ability to reduce themodel complexity and improve themodel performance in this case of VQA *** indicate that these multimodal bilinear pooling fusion techniques have improved the VQA model’s performance,until reaching the best performance of 89.25%.Further,experiments have proven that the number of answers in the developed VQA system is a critical factor that *** the effectiveness of these multimodal bilinear pooling techniques in achieving their main objective of reducing the model *** Multimodal Local Perception Bilinear Pooling(MLPB)technique has shown the best balance between the model complexity and its performance,for VQA systems designed to answer yes/no questions.

Dear Editor,This letter is concerned with prescribed-time Nash equilibrium(PTNE)seeking problem in a pursuit-evasion game(PEG)involving agents with second-order *** order to achieve the prior-given and user-defined convergence time for the PEG,a PTNE seeking algorithm has been developed to facilitate collaboration among multiple pursuers for capturing the evader without the need for any global ***,it is theoretically proved that the prescribedtime convergence of the designed algorithm for achieving Nash equilibrium of ***,the effectiveness of the PTNE method was validated by numerical simulation results.A PEG consists of two groups of agents:evaders and *** pursuers aim to capture the evaders through cooperative efforts,while the evaders strive to evade *** is a classic noncooperative *** has attracted plenty of attention due to its wide application scenarios,such as smart grids[1],formation control[2],[3],and spacecraft rendezvous[4].It is noteworthy that most previous research on seeking the Nash equilibrium of the game,where no agent has an incentive to change its actions,has focused on asymptotic and exponential convergence[5]-[7].

This paper centers around the examination of a downlink system comprising of a base station (BS) located at the center of a circular cell. Within this cell, we find cache-equipped users uniformly distributed. Our aim is to explore an innovative approach to enhance spectral efficiency by dividing the users into two groups, effectively utilizing the principles of nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and coded caching. Introducing the NOMA over coded caching scheme, we propose a novel method to elevate the service rate. We derive closedform expressions to accurately quantify the performance of NOMA over coded caching in terms of the service rate. Simulation experiments are conducted to validate the superiority of our proposed algorithm. The results demonstrate the remarkable efficacy of the NOMA over coded caching schemes in significantly improving the service rate, surpassing the conventional coded caching and non-encoding caching schemes. © 2023 IEEE.

The current battlefield environment is no longer a single key operational area. In order to evaluate the requirement satisfaction of the existing equipment system of systems (SoS) in complex multi-domain operations (MDO), starting with the critical operational issues and considering the actual operational requirements, the operational task model related to the equipment SoS is established, the complex multi domain operational tasks are decomposed into multiple indexes that can be analyzed quantitatively, and a measurement SoS including basic measurement and derived measurement is established by using the measurement information model for reference, The specific flow of the evaluation method of operational demand satisfaction is given, and the evaluation level of equipment SoS is determined. Finally, taking the joint air defense and anti missile (JADAM) operational test as an example, the equipment SoS is analyzed and evaluated to verify the rationality and effectiveness of this method. © 2022, Chinese Institute of Command and Control.

Machine Learning(ML)has changed clinical diagnostic procedures *** in Cardiovascular Diseases(CVD),the use of ML is indispensable to reducing human *** studies focused on disease prediction but depending on multiple parameters,further investigations are required to upgrade the clinical ***-layered implementation of ML also called Deep Learning(DL)has unfolded new horizons in the field of clinical *** formulates reliable accuracy with big datasets but the reverse is the case with small *** paper proposed a novel method that deals with the issue of less data *** by the regression analysis,the proposed method classifies the data by going through three different *** the first stage,feature representation is converted into probabilities using multiple regression techniques,the second stage grasps the probability conclusions from the previous stage and the third stage fabricates the final *** experiments were carried out on the Cleveland heart disease *** results show significant improvement in classification *** is evident from the comparative results of the paper that the prevailing statistical ML methods are no more stagnant disease prediction techniques in demand in the future.

Speech emotion recognition has received growing attention to improving the user-friendly experience, but it is still a difficult challenge. That is mainly due to the problem of uneven distribution of emotional information in speech samples. The overall state label of a sample is not sufficient to fully describe each part of the sample. In other words, each part contributes differently to the overall recognition. In this paper, we build unidirectional and bidirectional temporal attention networks to enhance the ability to extract essential features, and build the key-frame loss function to make the attention weight closer to 0 and 1. The purpose of using the attention module and key-frame loss is to extract the information that is effective for classification and filter out the unimportant information. A large number of experiments were conducted on the IEMOCAP dataset to verify the effectiveness of the model and loss function. The experimental results show that under the combined effect of the attention model and the loss function, our method has achieved better performance than the existing methods, with a weighted accuracy of 59.15% and an unweighted accuracy of 60.87%. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to solve the problem of information sharing capability assessment of multi-domain battle command system, this paper studies the relevant theories of information quality, and proposes a multi-domain command system information sharing capability assessment method based on information exchange model. The method fully combines the command and control characteristics of multi-domain operations and evaluates the information sharing capability of the multi-domain command system from between and within the battle domain, so as to analyze the information sharing status of the multi-domain command system, which is of high value for assessing the overall effectiveness of the multi-domain battle command system. © 2022, Chinese Institute of Command and Control.

In the green energy and carbon-neutral technology,electrochemical energy storage devices have received continuously increasing attention ***,due to the unavoidable volume expansion/shrinkage of key materials or irreversible mechanical damages during application,the stability of energy storage and delivery as well as the lifetime of these devices are severely shortened,leading to serious performance degradation or even safety ***,the utilization of self-healable gels into electrochemical energy storage devices,such as electrodes,binders,and electrolytes,is proven as an effective method to realize long-term stable operation of these devices via the self-repairing of mechanical and electrochemical ***,this review first summarizes the feature and fabrication of different gels,paying special attention to hydrogels,organohydrogels,and ***,basic concepts and figure of merit of self-healable gels are analyzed with a detailed discussion at the healing mechanisms,from reversible dynamic bonds to physical molecular diffusion,and to external healing *** we introduce all the important parts of electrochemical energy storage devices,which could be replaced by healable gels to enhance the durability,including electrodes,binders,and ***,the critical challenges and future perspectives regarding the future development of healable gels based high-performance electrochemical energy storage devices or electronics are provided.

Analysis of Conjoint Response in Post-stroke Patients Using the Attention-coupled Weighting Method

Rehabilitation assessment plays a vital role in the recovery process of post-stroke ***,many studies have focused on the implementation of automated assessment ***,the impact of stroke on the synergistic pattern between different human joints is not well *** this study,we developed an attention-coupled weighting based quantitative analysis model to identify the pathological alteration in the conjoint response structure between stroke patients and healthy participants,thus providing more intrinsic suggestions for the post-stroke rehabilitation *** collaboration with the China Rehabilitation Research Center and the Macao University of science and technology,we recruited 15 post-stroke patients and 15 healthy participants to complete several actions selected from the Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA)scale,which is a commonly used post-stroke rehabilitation assessment scale in clinical *** study proposed an attentional coupling weight(ACW)extraction *** filtering the weights in the attentional coupling network using a priori matrix,we can analyse the effect of stroke on the alteration of synergistic structures and the coordination patterns of the upper and lower ***,we used a commonly accepted synergy analysis method,the nonnegative matrix decomposition(NMF)method,for comparison and *** experimental results demonstrated the effectiveness of our method in quantifying the synergistic structure pattern alterations in post-stroke patients,which provides a new targeted option for the rehabilitation process.
