As an indispensable key network service in blockchain systems, digital wallet service is crucial for promoting the widespread application of blockchain technology and the development of the digital economy. However, with the increasing popularity of blockchain technology, the scale of the Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) dataset continues to increase. A significant number of low-value UTXOs occupied the main dataset space, leading to blockchain dataset expansion. This has affected the performance of digital wallet service and the overall system performance. To address this issue, this paper proposes a Space-Efficient Digital Wallet (SEDW) service in blockchain systems. This strategy employs a Multidimensional Space Simulated Annealing (MSA) algorithm to obtain transaction input UTXOs. MSA can be combined with the UTXO dynamic adjustment mechanism, achieving the rapid consumption of low-value UTXOs without increasing the transaction fees. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed SEDW strategy effectively optimized the selection of UTXOs in blockchain systems. It alleviated the expansion issue of the UTXO dataset, and controlled the generation of transaction fees, thereby achieving performance enhancement of digital wallet service. © 2023 IEEE.

In today’s fiercely competitive business environment, product design and development play critical roles in an enterprise’s success;therefore, consumer demand must be understood. Enterprises used to understand their consumers’ demands through time-consuming questionnaire surveys and statistical analyses. As the Internet and the popularity of virtual communities have grown, more consumers are leaving comments about their perceptions of the appeal of products on online social media platforms, thus enabling enterprises to more objectively understand consumers’ product preferences and demands. Therefore, determining how to effectively assist enterprises in analyzing valuable information beneficial to product design and development that can be gleaned from the large amount of social media data available is critical to promoting an enterprise’s competitive advantage in the product market. However, previous studies have primarily focused on understanding consumer viewpoints of products through review articles or electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM;it is a common channel for spreading product appraisals) from online social media. For these review articles and eWOM that can imply consumer demand for product features, there were no relevant studies focused on analyzing consumer demand by using both online review articles and eWOM for product feature evolution. Therefore, for new product features, this study developed a mechanism for product evolution course mining from product-related review articles (such as product functions or specifications) and eWOM on online social media to realize the prediction of future product features or specifications, and then assist enterprises in rapidly and accurately grasping product development trends to effectively discern key reference information for product design and development. Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) is part of the transaction data set, which represents the digital cryptocurrency asset in transaction-based blockchain systems. The data management capability, storage method and occupied space of UTXOs will greatly affect the running efficiency and the verification performance of blockchain systems. Especially, with the popularity of blockchain technology, the relevant UTXO data sets have been growing, and all the stored data can no longer be almost completely stored in memory. How should the UTXO transaction data be stored and managed at this time, it is an urgent issue to be solved in bitcoin-like blockchain systems. This paper provides a blockchain transaction data management optimization mechanism based on multi-partitioning. First, we analyze the influencing factors of transactions through real blockchain data. The proposed method can evaluate the time interval and transaction frequency factors, and use the received information to realize the efficient transaction data storage. In our design, UTXOs with lower likelihood to be used in new transactions will be stored in the disk, and the other UTXOs with higher likelihood to be used in new generated transactions should be stored in the cache. This approach aims to minimize memory consumption for the transaction data sets, accelerate UTXO access time during block verification, and ultimately decrease the overall time required for verification, leading to efficient UTXO transaction data management. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed optimization mechanism is verified through theoretical analysis and simulation experiments, and the UXTO access time has been reduced compared with state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

E-Voting systems play a vital role in various communities, aiming to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and citizen engagement in elections. However, as technology advances, ensuring the security and reliability of e-voting systems becomes profound. While researchers have explored the integration of blockchain technology to improve e-voting systems, there still are technical challenges, particularly regarding voters' privacy, ballots' confidentiality, and system performance. To address these challenges, we propose SvaVoting, an innovative blockchain-based e-voting scheme. SvaVoting utilizes the Borda counting method and the identity-based ring signature based on symmetric primitives to anonymously verify the validity of the voter's identity and ballot format. In addition, we introduce secret sharing and a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) to conduct the final counting while preserving the privacy of the ballots. All users in the system can verify the results of CSP calculations, thereby meeting security goals such as correctness, unforgeability, anonymity and verifiability. The identity-based ring signature in our scheme provides 128-bit security, and even it can work in a quantum computing environment. Experimental results demonstrate that our solution significantly enhances the security and performance of e-voting systems, offering a practical path forward for future e-voting systems. © 2023 IEEE.

The synergistic effect of Lewis acidic etching V_(4)C_(3)(MXene)@CuSe_(2)/CoSe_(2) as an advanced cathode material for aluminum batteries

Herein,we focused on the development of the V_(4)C_(3) MXene composite bimetallic selenide heterostruc-ture(V_(4)C_(3)@CuSe_(2)/CoSe_(2))as a cathode material for aluminum *** heterostructure was pre-pared through a Lewis melt salt etching and selenization *** capitalizing on the synergistic effect between the bimetallic selenide and V_(4)C_(3) MXene,V_(4)C_(3)@CuSe_(2)/CoSe_(2) exhibited rapid charge transfer and demonstrated superior discharge specific capacity compared to V_(4)C_(3) composite monometallic ***,the incorporation of V_(4)C_(3) improved the material's stability during charging/*** initial discharge specific capacity of V_(4)C_(3)@CuSe_(2)/CoSe_(2) reached an impressive 809 mAh g^(-1) at 1 Ag^(-1).Even after nearly 3000 cycles,it retained a substantial capacity of 169.1 mAh g^(-1).Ex-situ XPS analysis confirmed the reversible valence transitions of Cu,Co,and Se elements as the main energy storage reac-tions taking place in the cathode *** functional theory analysis provided further insights,revealing that the strong metallic behavior of the heterostructure stemmed from the charge rearrange-ment facilitated by the bimetallic selenide structure and the optimization of the energy level ***,the presence of the bimetallic selenide structure significantly improved the adsorption ef-ficiency of[AlCl4]^(-).Overall,this research contributes to the advancement of rechargeable aluminum ion batteries and presents a promising avenue for future developments in composite metal selenide struc-tures and MXene-based materials.

Microbubble-based fabrication of resilient porous ionogels for high-sensitivity pressure sensors

High-sensitivity flexible pressure sensors have obtained extensive attention because of their expanding applications in e-skins and wearable medical devices for various disease *** the representative candidate for these sensors,the iontronic microstructure has been widely proven to enhance sensation behaviors such as the sensitivity and limits of ***,the fast and tunable fabrication of ionic-porous sensing elastomers remains challenging because of the current template-dissolved or 3D printing ***,we report a microbubble-based fabrication process that enables microporous and resilient-compliance ionogels for high-sensitivity pressure *** motion sliding results in a relative velocity between the imported airflow and the fluid solution,converts the airflow to microbubbles in the high-viscosity ionic fluid and promptly solidifies the fluid into a porous ionogel under ultraviolet *** ultrahigh porosity of up to 95%endows the porous ionogel with superelasticity and a Young’s modulus near 7 *** to the superelastic compliance and iontronic electrical double-layer effect,the porous ionogel packaged into two electrodes endows the pressure sensor with high sensitivity(684.4 kPa^(-1))over an ultrabroad range(~1 MPa)and a high-pressure resolution of 0.46%.Furthermore,the pressure sensor successfully captures high-yield broad-range signals from the fingertip low-pressure pulses(<1 kPa)to foot high-pressure activities(>500 kPa),even the grasping force of soft machine hands via an array-scanning circuit during object *** microbubble-based fabrication process for porous ionogels paves the way for designing wearable sensors or permeable electronics to monitor and diagnose various diseases.

Predicting water quality is essential to preserving human health and environmental sustainability. Traditional water quality assessment methods often face scalability and real-time monitoring limitations. With accuracies of 62%, 72%, 83%, 69%, 63%, 66%, 71%, 63%, and 64%, respectively, the current techniques utilized were Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest Regressor, Extreme Gradient Boosting, Naive Bayes, K-nearest neighbors, Support Vector Machine, AdaBoost, and Bagging [9]. This study addresses these challenges by leveraging Adaptive Synthetic Sampling (ADASYN) to balance the dataset and evaluating model performance on datasets of 5,000 and 10,000 entries per class. A robust dataset obtained from Kaggle was used, with five models – Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Feed Forward Neural Network (FFNN), Categorical Boosting (CatBoost), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), and Random Forest – evaluated and compared. The proposed methods demonstrate significant improvements in accuracy, with XGBoost achieving the highest accuracy of 95.53%, followed by Random Forest at 93.98%. This work underscores the importance of advanced machine learning techniques in addressing the limitations of traditional methods, enhancing accuracy, scalability, and adaptability in water quality prediction. These findings contribute to advancing environmental monitoring and management practices with reliable, data-driven insights. © 2025 IEEE.

Self-supervised graph learning with target-adaptive masking for session-based recommendation

Session-based recommendation aims to predict the next item based on a user’s limited interactions within a short *** approaches use mainly recurrent neural networks(RNNs)or graph neural networks(GNNs)to model the sequential patterns or the transition relationships between ***,such models either ignore the over-smoothing issue of GNNs,or directly use cross-entropy loss with a softmax layer for model optimization,which easily results in the over-fitting *** tackle the above issues,we propose a self-supervised graph learning with target-adaptive masking(SGL-TM)***,we first construct a global graph based on all involved sessions and subsequently capture the self-supervised signals from the global connections between items,which helps supervise the model in generating accurate representations of items in the ongoing *** that,we calculate the main supervised loss by comparing the ground truth with the predicted scores of items adjusted by our designed target-adaptive masking ***,we combine the main supervised component with the auxiliary self-supervision module to obtain the final loss for optimizing the model *** experimental results from two benchmark datasets,Gowalla and Diginetica,indicate that SGL-TM can outperform state-of-the-art baselines in terms of Recall@20 and MRR@20,especially in short sessions.

Si-based thermoelectric(TE)materials are exhibiting remarkable perspectives in self-energized applications with their special ***,the relatively high total thermal conductivity(κ)prevents their TE ***,a strategy of co-compositing dual oxides was implemented for enhancing the TE properties of p-type Si_(80)Ge_(20) *** Ga2O_(3) was demonstrated to enhance the power factor(PF)due to the crystallization-induced effect of produced Ga by decomposition on SiGe *** with compositing SiO_(2) aerogel(a-SiO_(2))powder,not only introduced the fine amorphous inclusions and decreased the grain size of host matrix,but also various nano morphologies were formed,i.e.,nano inclusions,precipitations,twin boundaries(TBs),and *** with the eutectic Ge,hierarchical scattering centers impeded the phonon transport comprehensively(decreasing the phonon group velocity(a v)and relaxation time)for reducing the lattice-induced thermal conductivity(lκ).As a result,a minimumκof 2.38 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1) was achieved,which is significantly dropped by 32.6%in contrast with that of the pristine ***,a maximal dimensionless figure of merit(ZT)of 0.9 was achieved at 600℃,which is better than those of most corresponding oxide-composited Si-based bulks.

The successful execution and management of Offshore Software Maintenance Outsourcing(OSMO)can be very beneficial for OSMO vendors and the OSMO *** a lot of research on software outsourcing is going on,most of the existing literature on offshore outsourcing deals with the outsourcing of software development *** frameworks have been developed focusing on guiding software systemmanagers concerning offshore software ***,none of these studies delivered comprehensive guidelines for managing the whole process of *** is a considerable lack of research working on managing OSMO from a vendor’s ***,to find the best practices for managing an OSMO process,it is necessary to further investigate such complex and multifaceted phenomena from the vendor’s *** study validated the preliminary OSMO process model via a case study research *** results showed that the OSMO process model is applicable in an industrial setting with few *** industrial data collected during the case study enabled this paper to extend the preliminary OSMO process *** refined version of the OSMO processmodel has four major phases including(i)Project Assessment,(ii)SLA(iii)Execution,and(iv)Risk.
