Multilingual Event Causality Identification (Multilingual ECI) is the task of detecting causal relations between events mentioned in the multilingual text. The biggest challenge of this task is the small size of the minor language corpus, making it very difficult to train a model with good performance. To address this issue, we propose a meta-learning method that integrates multilingual knowledge, which mainly includes two modules: the multilingual knowledge obtain module, which alleviates data scarcity by introducing multilingual knowledge from outside;The meta-learning module utilizes ProtoMAML combined with l2 standardization to extract language independent causal features from text and learn better event representations in different languages. The experimental results on the latest publicly available MECI dataset show that our model outperforms the current best baseline, with an average F1 improvement of 3.9% in different languages. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Flexible electronics/spintronics attracts researchers’attention for their application potential abroad in wearable devices,healthcare,and other *** devices’performance(speed,energy consumption)is highly dependent on manipulating information bits(spin-orientation in flexible spintronics).In this work,we established an organic photovoltaic(OPV)/ZnO/Pt/Co/Pt heterostructure on flexible PET substrates with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy(PMA).Under sunlight illumination,the photoelectrons generated from the OPV layer transfer into the PMA heterostructure,then they reduce the PMA strength by enhancing the interfacial Rashba field *** coercive field(Hc)reduces from 800 Oe to 500 Oe at its maximum,and the magnetization can be switched up and down *** stability of sunlight control of magnetization reversal under various bending conditions is also tested for flexible spintronic ***,the voltage output of sunlight-driven PMA is achieved in our prototype device,exhibiting an excellent angular dependence and opening a door towards solar-driven flexible spintronics with much lower energy consumption.

Medical data are subject to privacy regulations, which severely limit AI specialists who wish to construct decision support systems for medicine. Large amounts of this data are tabular, indicating that they are organized into a table format, where patient records are represented in rows and measured variables in columns. Furthermore, the variables come in different types-some are numerical, while others are categorical. In this work, we introduce a novel method for constructing generators of synthetic tabular data with mixed types. The key point of our approach is the explicit utilization of a latent space to represent the original data. A case study using real medical data is presented. © 2024 The Authors.

Emotions are a vital semantic part of human correspondence. Emotions are significant for human correspondence as well as basic for human–computer cooperation. Viable correspondence between people is possibly achieved when both the importance and the emotion of the correspondence are perceived by all groups included. Understanding the significance of language has generally been concentrated on in natural language processing (NLP) as a semantic examination. In NLP, the text can be handled appropriately for classification. Emotion detection from facial emotion is the subfield of social signal processing applied in a wide assortment of regions, explicitly for human and PC collaboration. Many researchers have proposed various approaches, generally utilizing machine learning concepts. Automatic emotion recognition (AER) is significant for working with consistent intuitiveness between a person and a smart device toward fully acknowledging an intelligent society. Many researchers examined cross-lingual and multilingual speech emotion as a stage toward language-free emotion acknowledgment in natural speech. In the present work, we are proposing a deep learning-based AER system using four openly accessible datasets, namely Basic Arabic Vocal Emotions Dataset (BAVED), Acted Emotional Speech Dynamic Database (AESDD), Urdu written in Latin/Roman Script (URDU), and Toronto Emotional Speech Set (TESS), by utilizing the Jupyter notebook and a Python library for music and audio synthesis named Librosa. The experimental results exhibited that the proposed approach achieves better than the existing approaches, i.e., the accuracy of the proposed system with the URDU dataset is 96.24%, the TESS dataset is 99.10%, the AESDD dataset is 65.97%, and the BAVED dataset is 73.12%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Indoor Navigation System (INS) supports seamless movement of objects within confined spaces in smart environments. In this paper, a novel INS that relies on ESP32-based Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) measurements for precise estimation of distance using K-Nearest Neighbour (K-NN) algorithm is proposed. The system architecture includes three ESP32 nodes functioning as clients, and ESP8266 combined with ESP32 acting as a server. To overcome the limitations of Global Positioning System (GPS) within an indoor environment, Machine Learning (ML)-based prediction models are employed to estimate distance between nodes and predict user locations along with the distance between source and destination. This approach not only addresses the challenges posed by GPS in indoor settings, but also shows the potential of ESP32 devices and predictive algorithms for enhancing navigation accuracy and reliability. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

An Internet of Things based smart irrigation system for terrace plants is a cutting-edge solution designed to automate and optimize the watering process, ensuring efficient use of water and promoting healthier plant growthSmart irrigation system may vary from field with crops of same variety to terrace plantation with plants of different varieties. As the water requirement may vary based on plant type, environmental condition, growth stage, it is intelligent to provide varying water supply. This Smart irrigation system employs soil moisture to monitor the water content of the terrace garden in real time. Some variety of plants may require minimum quantity of water. The sensors continuously collect data and send it to a central IoT platform or a cloud-based server, where intelligent algorithms analyse the data and determine the precise amount of water needed by the plants. Based on this analysis, the system automatically activates the irrigation mechanism whether it's a drip system, sprinklers, or any other appropriate watering method only when required, thus preventing water wastage and avoiding overwatering or underwatering. © 2025 IEEE.

Various organizations store data online rather than on physical *** the number of user’s data stored in cloud servers increases,the attack rate to access data from cloud servers also *** researchers worked on different algorithms to protect cloud data from replay *** of the papers used a technique that simultaneously detects a full-message and partial-message replay *** study presents the development of a TKN(Text,Key and Name)cryptographic algorithm aimed at protecting data from replay *** program employs distinct ways to encrypt plain text[P],a user-defined Key[K],and a Secret Code[N].The novelty of the TKN cryptographic algorithm is that the bit value of each text is linked to another value with the help of the proposed algorithm,and the length of the cipher text obtained is twice the length of the original *** the scenario that an attacker executes a replay attack on the cloud server,engages in cryptanalysis,or manipulates any data,it will result in automated modification of all associated values inside the *** mechanism has the benefit of enhancing the detectability of replay ***,the attacker cannot access data not included in any of the papers,regardless of how effective the attack strategy *** the end of paper,the proposed algorithm’s novelty will be compared with different algorithms,and it will be discussed how far the proposed algorithm is better than all other algorithms.

Battle commanders in modern war are facing new challenges such as massive information and short time windows. There is an urgent demand of intelligent assistant system to communicate with the commanders and staff officers, think about what they think, answer their questions, offer advises to their decision making, learn their experiences, and significantly improve their performance. Based on capability requirements analysis of such system, its system architecture was proposed, which shares data, knowledge, functions and computing power with the command information system currently in use. An AI framework based technical architecture was proposed, which has five characteristics: natural human-computer interaction, flexible function integration, knowledge system driven, continues ability evolution, and powerful computing support. © 2023 IEEE.

Dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)plasma actuators are widely used in active flow control due to their simple design and rapid ***,they need more effectiveness and discharge *** overcome these limitations,a sector-shaped dielectric barrier discharge(SS-DBD)plasma actuator with an adjustable jet angle was developed to enhance flow control *** flow field dynamics induced by the SS-DBD plasma actuator were quantitatively analyzed using particle image velocimetry(PIV).Experimental investigations showed that precise adjustments to the actuation voltage can modulate the maximum velocity of the induced ***,a quasi-linear relationship between the sector-shaped angles of the SS-DBD and the deflected jet angles was established,indicating that changes in the sector-shaped angles directly influence the direction of the deflected *** correlation enables precise control over jet angles,significantly enhancing flow control by adjusting the SS-DBD-PA's sector-shaped angle.
