This article presents a highly efficient method for substrate-integrated-waveguide(SIW) filters to achieve very wide stopbands. By employing the proposed trisection slots in addition to the bisection slots as the inter-coupling structures, all spurious modes below TE505 of a SIW filter working in the fundamental mode TE101(f0)can be eliminated without requiring additional structure or complex theoretical analysis, without affecting the design of the fundamental passbands, and without degrading the performance of the filters. For verification, two prototype filters are designed, fabricated, and measured with wide stopbands up to 4.15f0 and 4.83f0, respectively. The proposed technique could facilitate the development of high-performance wide-stopband SIW filters for microwave/wireless circuits and systems.

Using the concept of non-degenerate Bell inequality, we show that quantum entanglement, the critical resource for various quantum information processing tasks, can be quantified for any unknown quantum state in a semi-device-independent manner, where the quantification is based on the experimentally obtained probability distributions and prior knowledge of the quantum dimension only. Specifically, as an application of our approach to multi-level systems, we experimentally quantify the entanglement of formation and the entanglement of distillation for qutrit-qutrit quantum systems. In addition, to demonstrate our approach for multi-partite systems, we further quantify the geometric measure of entanglement of three-qubit quantum systems. Our results supply a general way to reliably quantify entanglement in multi-level and multi-partite systems, thus paving the way to characterize many-body quantum systems by quantifying the involved entanglement.

This study has employed the master chemical mechanism(MCM)to investigate the influence of the ozone oxidation pathways in the atmospheric formation of H_(2)SO_(4)from shortchain olefins in industrialized ***-situ H_(2)SO_(4)formation data were obtained using a high-resolution chemical ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer,and the simulated H_(2)SO_(4)concentrations calculated using updated parameters for the MCM model exhibited good agreementwith *** the simulation analysis of different reaction pathways involved in H_(2)SO_(4)formation,hydroxyl radicals were found to dominate H_(2)SO_(4)production during the daytime,while olefin ozone oxidation contributed up to 65%of total H_(2)SO_(4)production during the night-time.A sensitivity analysis of the H_(2)SO_(4)production parameters has revealed a high sensitivity to changes in sulfur dioxide,and a relatively high sensitivity to olefins with fast ozonolysis reaction rates and bimolecular reaction rates of resulting stabilized Criegee Intermediates.A high relative humidity promotes daytime H_(2)SO_(4)formation,but has an inhibiting effect during the night-time due to the different dominant reaction pathways.

A kind of two-dimensional(2D)metal-organic framework(MOF)material,Cu-meso-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphine(Cu-TCPP)nanosheets with wrinkled and flat morphologies are used as building blocks to assemble membranes by vacuum filtration(VF)and electrophoretic deposition(EPD)as energy-efficient nanofiltration(NF)membranes to remove dyes from *** the nanosheets with wrinkled structure can provide additional water transport channels,thereby increasing the water permeance,in the premise of a high rejection(>97.0%)for the dye brilliant blue G(BBG)(1.60 nm×1.90 nm),the water permeance of the membrane assembled by the wrinkled nanosheets(~1170 nm)is about 4 times that of the membrane assembled by the flat nanosheets(~530 nm),reaching 16.39 L·m^(−2)·h^(−1)·bar^(−1).Additionally,the use of the relatively flat nanosheets and the membrane preparation method of electrophoretic deposition is more conducive to stack nanosheets orderly and reduce ***,the water permeance of the membrane prepared by EPD(~1170 nm)with flat nanosheets is about twice that of the membrane prepared by VF(~530 nm),achieving 9.40 L·m^(−2)·h^(−1)·bar^(−1)with similar rejection(>97.0%)of dye evans blue(EB)(3.10 nm×1.20 nm).Furthermore,these membranes still exhibit good separation performance at high pressure of 0.6 *** with diverse structures and various membrane fabrication processes provide new directions for the separation performance optimization of 2D MOF materials for water purification.
