This paper considers a path planning problem of multiple automated guided vehicles (AGVs) in a production workshop with many varieties and small batches. To meet the logistics needs of the workshop, multi-AGVs material distribution and finished product recovery are involved at multiple task points. To solve this problem, we first present a mathematical model to optimize the handling cost under the constraints of AGV load and task priority. Secondly, we propose a hybrid jellyfish search (HJS) algorithm, where Lévy flight (LF) and differential evolution (DE) are into the jellyfish search (JS) algorithm by leveraging their advantages. Finally, we conduct various experiments to verify the performance of the proposed algorithm. The results show that HJS is more effective than other multi-AGV path planning algorithms in the AGV transportation distance and the operation of workshops, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Aerial base stations (ABSs), i.e., unmanned aerial vehicle-mounted base stations, have emerged as an essential technology to expand the coverage and capacity in next-generation wireless networks. Determining the optimal ABS placement that maximizes the communication quality of users is a critical but challenging problem due to complex air-to-ground (A2G) channel characteristics and inter-cell interference. Although various ABS deployment methods have been proposed, existing methods do not consider the actual line-of-sight (LoS) and non-LoS (NLoS) conditions of A2G channels properly, assuming a spatially independent probabilistic LoS model to simplify the problem and analysis. In this study, we propose a distributed ABS deployment method considering the actual LoS/NLoS conditions. We model the ABS deployment space as a 3D grid space in which the LoS/NLoS condition between each grid point is given and formulate the ABS deployment problem as the maximization problem of the expected number of covered users. By applying a potential game to the problem, we develop a distributed ABS deployment algorithm that probabilistically converges to a Nash equilibrium that maximizes the objective function. Furthermore, we demonstrate through simulation that the proposed method can improve the actual communication quality of users. © 2024 IEEE.

The integrated sonar and communication (ISC) system plays an important role in smart ocean engineering, owing to its convenience in environmental perception and communication. The characteristics of the integrated signal and the signal processing methods are critical to the ISC system's performance. Orthogonal chirp division multiplexing (OCDM) signal is considered as a potential integrated signal due to its robustness in communication as well as excellent detection performance. However, insufficient bandwidth and subcarrier spacing can significantly degrade the performance of OCDM-based ISC system due to the severe Doppler expansion of the underwater acoustic (UWA) channel. In this paper, we introduce the dictionary theory into the multicarrier signal design and propose a new Dictionary-theory-based orthogonal chirp division multiplexing (Dic-OCDM) signal. We consider the chirp signal as the basis function. The geometric transformation in structure dictionary design is implemented to rearrange the basis function, resulting in the dictionary-theory-based discrete Fresnel transform (Dic-DFnT) matrix. The Dic-DFnT matrix is regarded as the modulation matrix of Dic-OCDM and provides a larger subcarrier spacing without requiring additional bandwidth. Besides, a Dic-OCDM based ISC system is designed, and corresponding signal processing methods for detection and communication are given. Simulation and lake experiment results attest to the effectiveness of our proposed Dic-OCDM-based ISC system for underwater active detection and communication. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Silicon/carbon composites are promising alternatives to current graphite anodes in commercial lithiumion batteries(LIBs)because of their high capacity and excellent ***,the unsatisfactory fastcharging capability and cycle stability of Si/C composites caused by slow charge transport capability and huge volume change under industrial electrode conditions severely hamper their ***,a novel Si/C anode was fabricated by homogeneously depositing amorphous C-Si nanolayers on graphite(C-Si@graphite).C-Si nanolayers with uniformly dispersed sub-nanometer Si particles in 3D carbon skeleton significantly boost electron and Li-ion transport and efficiently relieve Si's agglomeration and volume *** a result,the tailored C-Si@graphite electrodes show an excellent rate capacity(760.3 mAh·g^(-1)at 5.0C)and long cycle life of over 1000 cycles at 1.0C and800 cycles at 2.0C under industrial electrode *** addition,the assembled full cells(C-Si@graphite,anode;Li[Ni_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)]O_(2),cathode)present superior fastcharging capability(240.4 Wh·kg^(-1),charging for16.2 min,3.0C)and long cycle life(80.7%capacity retention after 500 cycles at 1.0C),demonstrating the massive potential of C-Si@graphite for practical application.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) significantly impacts a child's ability to navigate social interactions, regulate emotions, and develop adaptive skills crucial for daily functioning. While various interventions exist to address cognitive and academic skills, the development of soft skills such as communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, and creativity remains an under explored area. This paper builds upon the foundational work of the Mind Champ platform, which originally targeted both learning and soft skills, by focusing exclusively on enhancing the soft skills development of autistic children. This enhanced version of the Mind Champ platform leverages advanced behavioral and emotional analysis techniques to offer a comprehensive technological solution. Through interactive activities centered on painting and music, the platform creates a structured, engaging, and supportive environment tailored to the unique needs of children with ASD. By prioritizing emotional engagement and creative expression, the platform empowers children to improve their social abilities, emotional regulation, and adaptability. The results from our continued research indicate that these technology-driven interventions contribute significantly to the holistic development of soft skills in autistic children, providing them with valuable tools to navigate social environments more effectively. © 2024 IEEE.
