Ce-UiO-66 nanozymes with charge-regulated uricase-like activity for enzyme/reagent-free detection of uric acid

Designing highly performed uricase-like nanozymes through enzymatic-like colorimetric analysis system is of vital significance for the quantitative detection of uric acid(UA).Herein,series of Ce-UiO-66 nanozymes with different surface charges through the ligand engineering strategy were rationally designed and synthesized as efficient uricase mimics with tailorable uricase-like activities to catalytically convert UA into allantoin and ***,by tuning the functional groups of 1,4-benzoic acid ligands,we explored the relationships between the surface charges of Ce-UiO-66-X(X=H,NO_(2),Br,CH_(3),and OH)nanozymes and their uricase-like *** them,Ce UiO-66-CH_(3) with the moderate surface charge exhibited optimal substrate adsorption and product desorption,displaying the highest uricase-like ***,H2O2,as the product of UA oxidation,enabled Ce-UiO-66-CH_(3) itself as a dose-dependent chromogenic substrate of H_(2)O_(2),giving a white-to-orange color evolution due to the Ce-UiO-66-CH_(3)-to-CeO_(2) phase ***,a smartphone-assisted all-in-one enzyme/reagent-free biosensor based on Ce-UiO-66-CH_(3) was established for the precise visual detection of UA analysis,which was featured by a wide detection range(31–4000µM),a high sensitivity(limit of detection:8.9µM),a rapid response(-3 min),a high structural stability,and a high anti-interference ability.

Gamification is the incorporation of game elements into non-game settings. Software designers increase user motivation by introducing adequately engaging elements, such as leaderboards and badges, into an existing system. In recent years, few studies have examined the risks associated with gamification inside the business systems sector, especially within software development organizations. Yet, this issue must be addressed more systematically to build gamified solutions that take individual gamification risks into account. This research introduces "Inclusive Gamification" as contextually aware gamification that highlights individual risks. The purpose of this paper is twofold: 1) to identify the gamification risk factors that could cause the emergence of risks in software development organizations;and 2) to develop a list of risks with consideration of various contextual factors, namely tasks, personality type, adopted game element, and organizational cultural aspects. 15 employees from three software development companies participated in an exploratory study in which their perspectives on the negative effects of gamification were collected. As a result, we were able to identify several risk factors and associated risks. Our findings assist software engineers throughout the design process in identifying potential threats. Thus, create gamified solutions that better situate employees at their workplaces. © 2023 Knowledge systems Institute Graduate School. All rights reserved.

MATD3-Based End-Edge Collaborative Resource Optimization for NOMA-Assisted Industrial Wireless Networks

Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technology has recently been widely integrated into multi-access edge computing (MEC) to support task offloading in industrial wireless networks (IWNs) with limited radio resources. This paper minimizes the system overhead regarding task processing delay and energy consumption for the IWN with hybrid NOMA and orthogonal multiple access (OMA) schemes. Specifically, we formulate the system overhead minimization (SOM) problem by considering the limited computation and communication resources and NOMA efficiency. To solve the complex mixed-integer nonconvex problem, we combine the multi-agent twin delayed deep deterministic policy gradient (MATD3) and convex optimization, namely MATD3-CO, for iterative optimization. Specifically, we first decouple SOM into two sub-problems, i.e., joint sub-channel allocation and task offloading sub-problem, and computation resource allocation sub-problem. Then, we propose MATD3 to optimize the sub-channel allocation and task offloading ratio, and employ the convex optimization to allocate the computation resource with a closed-form expression derived by the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions. The solution is obtained by iteratively solving these two sub-problems. The experimental results indicate that the MATD3-CO scheme, when compared to the benchmark schemes, significantly decreases system overhead with respect to both delay and energy consumption.

Cloud computing (CC) refers to the transmission, storage, and processing of any type of information at a location that is not owned or controlled by the information owner. This information can be stored and accessed anytime, from anywhere, and using any device. However, several challenges threaten the deployment of cloud computing technology within organizations, including user privacy, data integrity, and managing the retention of the vast amount of data that will be stored and analyzed in this environment. In recent years, various data integrity checking systems and data storage mechanisms have been proposed to address these diverse challenges. Nevertheless, some protocols do not guarantee data confidentiality against auditors during the auditing process, while others do not provide batch auditing. Additionally, the majority of these protocols do not support the deduplication technique. Therefore, in this research work, the security features of blockchain technology and those of multi-agent systems (MAS) have prompted us to propose models that enable both data deduplication, saving storage space, and data integrity auditing, efficiently verifying the accuracy of data outsourced to CC environments. Implementation findings indicate that the suggested system is highly feasible and applicable in real-world scenarios. © 2024 by the authors of this article.

The presence or absence of sea ice introduces a substantial perturbation to surface-atmosphere energy *** the effect of varying sea ice cover on surface-atmosphere interactions is an important consideration for understanding the Arctic climate *** recurring North Water Polynya(NOW)serves as a natural laboratory for isolating cloud responses to a rapid,near-step perturbation in sea *** this study,we employed high-resolution Arctic System Reanalysis version 2(ASRv2)data to estimate turbulent heat fluxes over the NOW and nearby sea ice(NSI)area between 2005/2006 and 2015/*** results indicate that the average turbulent heat fluxes in the polynya are about 87%and 86%higher than in the NSI area over the 10 years during the entire duration of the polynya and during polar night,*** turbulent heat fluxes from the polynya tend to produce more low-level *** relationship between the polynya and low cloud in winter was examined based on Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observations(CALIPSO).The low-cloud fraction(0-2 km)was about 7%-34%larger over the polynya than the NSI area,and the ice water content below 200 m was about 250%-413%higher over the former than the *** correlation between cloud fraction and turbulent heat fluxes in the polynya peaks around the altitude of 200-300 *** results suggest that the NOW affects the Arctic boundary layer cloudiness and structure in ***,higher horizontal resolution reanalysis data can advance our understanding of the cloud-polynya response.

Heterogeneous UAV Resource Scheduling for Dynamic Time Sensitive Target Detection and Interference

In complex electromagnetic environments, targets that need to be interfered with often possess high levels of concealment and anti-interference capabilities. Additionally, due to the dynamic characteristics of these targets, interference tasks must be conducted within strict time constraints to ensure interference effect. In this paper, we adopt a reconnaissance-first approach for concealed targets. After detecting the accurate location of the target, we deploy Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to interfere with the targets. First, we established a UAV swarm task scheduling optimization model after considering constraints such as target threat range, priority of reconnaissance and interference tasks, interference task time, and UAV energy consumption. Meanwhile, we model the anti-interference capability of the target as a threat range. Second, we propose a non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm based on distance in the solution space and a dynamic parent selection strategy (DPSNSGA-II) to solve UAV Resource Scheduling optimization problem. The diversity of the population is increased and the situation of falling into local optima is reduced by improving the parent individual selection strategy, mutation strategy, and elite solution retention mechanism. Finally, we construct two data sets of varying sizes to evaluate the quality of solution sets and the convergence performance of the proposed algorithm. The simulation results indicate that the proposed DPSNSGA-II algorithm has better result for population diversity and convergence compared to state-of-the-art algorithms. © 2014 IEEE.

Joint Pilot Design and Beamforming Optimization in Massive MIMO Surveillance systems

This paper proposes a novel joint channel estimation and beamforming scheme for the massive multiple-input-multiple-output(MIMO)frequency-division duplexing(FDD) wireless legitimate surveillance system. With the proposed scheme,the monitor with the full duplex capability realizes the proactive eavesdropping of the suspicious link by leveraging the pilot attack approach. Specifically, exploiting the effective eavesdropping rate and the mean square error as performance metrics and setting a total power budget at the training and transmission phases,while guaranteeing the information from suspicious source can be successfully decode, joint pilot design,power allocation and beamforming strategy are formulated as optimization problems for the two objective functions: MSE and effective eavesdropping rate. A closed-form expression of the optimal pilot with the limited length can be obtained via the channel correlation. The optimal power problem at the training phase can be solved by a simple bisection method. Then,based on the obtained imperfect estimated channel,the jamming beamforming at monitor optimization algorithm is proposed by utilizing the convex Semidefinite Programming approach to maximize the effective eavesdropping rate. Numerical results show that the proposed joint pilot design, power allocation and beamforming optimization scheme can improve the surveillance performance of the legitimate monitor as compared to the existing passive eavesdropping and jamming-assisted eavesdropping.

Channel Correlation Based User Grouping Algorithm for Nonlinear Precoding Satellite Communication System

Low Earth Orbit(LEO)multibeam satellites will be widely used in the next generation of satellite communication systems,whose inter-beam interference will inevitably limit the performance of the whole *** precoding such as Tomlinson-Harashima precoding(THP)algorithm has been proved to be a promising technology to solve this problem,which has smaller noise amplification effect compared with linear ***,the similarity of different user channels(defined as channel correlation)will degrade the performance of THP *** this paper,we qualitatively analyze the inter-beam interference in the whole process of LEO satellite over a specific coverage area,and the impact of channel correlation on Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR)of receivers when THP is *** user grouping algorithm is proposed based on the analysis of channel correlation,which could decrease the number of users with high channel correlation in each precoding group,thus improve the performance of ***,our algorithm is designed under the premise of co-frequency deployment and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM),which leads to more users under severe inter-beam interference compared to the existing research on geostationary orbit satellites broadcasting *** results show that the proposed user grouping algorithm possesses higher channel capacity and better bit error rate(BER)performance in high SNR conditions relative to existing works.
