In Banach spaces, we introduce a new improved multi-step iterative algorithm for the fixed points of strongly pseudo-contractive mappings, by proving the convergence for modified Mann iterative sequence, and that the multi-step iterative sequence and Mann iterative scheme are equivalent. We prove the convergence of iterative sequences generalized by the improved multi-step iterative algorithms. An arbitrary unknown quantum state cannot be precisely measured or perfectly replicated1. However, quantum teleportation allows faithful transfer of unknown quantum states from one object to another over long distance2, without physical travelling of the object itself. Long-distance teleportation has been recognized as a fundamental element in protocols such as large-scale quantum networks3,4 and distributed quantum computation5,6. However, the previous teleportation experiments between distant locations7-12 were limited to a distance on the order of 100 kilometers, due to photon loss in optical fibres or terrestrial free-space channels. An outstanding open challenge for a global-scale "quantum internet"13 is to significantly extend the range for teleportation. A promising solution to this problem is exploiting satellite platform and space-based link, which can conveniently connect two remote points on the Earth with greatly reduced channel loss because most of the photons’ propagation path is in empty space. Here, we report the first quantum teleportation of independent single-photon qubits from a ground observatory to a low Earth orbit satellite—through an up-link channel—with a distance up to 1400 km. To optimize the link efficiency and overcome the atmospheric turbulence in the up-link, a series of techniques are developed, including a compact ultra-bright source of multi-photon entanglement, narrow beam divergence, high-bandwidth and high-accuracy acquiring, pointing, and tracking (APT). We demonstrate successful quantum teleportation for six input states in mutually unbiased bases with an average fidelity of 0.80±0.01, well above the classical limit14. This work establishes the first ground-to-satellite up-link for faithful and ultra-long-distance quantum teleportation, an essential step toward global-scale quantum internet. Focused on the contradiction between selective pressure and population diversity in the optimization algorithm using hybrid evolutionary mechanisms, this paper proposes a membrane image threshold segmentation algorithm based on the idea of membrane computing. The proposal uses a hybrid tissue P system of three one-level-membranestructure (OLMS) membranes in which genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimal algorithm (PSO) are used as evolution operator. The proposed algorithm uses the communication rules and transfer rules to establish the interactions among the membranes, and then enhances the diversity of population in the system and improves the convergence of the algorithm. After comparing with the conventional methods, simulation results and dynamic behavior analysis show that the proposal evidently improve the validity and feasibility of the image segmentation algorithm. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2016.

In this paper, we present a novel fault detection and identification (FDI) scheme for a class of nonlinear systems with model uncertainty. At the heart of this approach is an on-line approximator, referred to as fault tracking approximator (FTA). Differently from the other approximators, the FTA uses iterative algorithms to detect and identify nonlinear system faults, even in the presence of model uncertainty, which is motivated by predictive control theory and iterative learning control theory. The FTA can simultaneously detect and identify the shape and magnitude of the faults. The rigorous stability analysis and fault tracking properties of the FTA are also proved. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach.

During the deep space exploration missions a lot of attitude maneuvers need to be completed for the change of different ***,in the course ofthe explorer attitude maneuver there are many attitude pointing constraints due to the diversity of space ***,attitude kinematic and dynamic equations based on quaternion are established in this paper,which laid the foundation for design and simulation of the planning ***,to improve system stability and robustness of strong disturbance,an autonomous attitude planning system based sliding mode control has been *** addition,a constraint monitor module ensures that the attitude commands received from the attitude controllers do not violate attitude pointing ***,simulation results demonstrate that:the methods in this paper not only meet complex attitude pointing constraints but also achieve high-precision attitude maneuver in large angle maneuver under high time-varying disturbance torque,and the attitude maneuver path is smoother and feasible for implementation.

An investigation on the impact and significance of the AlphaGo vs. Lee Sedol Go match is conducted, and concludes with a conjecture of the AlphaGo Thesis and its extension in accordance with the Church-Turing Thesis in the history of computing. It is postulated that the architecture and method utilized by the AlphaGo program provide an engineering solution for tackling issues in complexity and intelligence. Specifically, the AlphaGo Thesis implies that any effective procedure for hard decision problems such as NP-hard can be implemented with AlphaGo-like approach. Deep rule-based networks are proposed in attempt to establish an understandable structure for deep neural networks in deep learning. The success of AlphaGo and corresponding thesis ensure the technical soundness of the parallel intelligence approach for intelligent control and management of complex systems and knowledge automation. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a malignant tumor, and contains three major subtypes which are difficult to be distinguished at early stages of NSCLC. Many pathways work together to perform certain functions in cells. One might expect the high level of co-appearance or repression of pathways to distinguish different subtypes of NSCLC. However, it is difficult to detect coordinated regulations of pathways by existing methods. In our work, the coordinated regulations of pathways are detected using modified higher logic analysis of gene expression data. Specifically, we identify the genes whose regulation obeys a logic function by the modified higher logic analysis, which focuses on the relationships among the gene triplets that are not evident when genes are examined in a pairwise fashion. Then, the relationships among genes are mapped to pathways to predict the coordinated regulated relationships among pathways. By comparing coordinated regulations of pathways, we find that the regulation patterns of pathways which are associated with cell death are different in three subtypes of NSCLC. This method allows us to uncover co-appearance or repression of pathways in high level, and it has a potential to distinguish the subtypes for complex diseases.

A hybrid biometric identification framework for high security applications

Research on biometrics for high security applica- tions has not attracted as much attention as civilian or foren- sic applications. Limited research and deficient analysis so far has led to a lack of general solutions and leaves this as a challenging issue. This work provides a systematic analy- sis and identification of the problems to be solved in order to meet the performance requirements for high security applica- tions, a double low problem. A hybrid ensemble framework is proposed to solve this problem. Setting an adequately high threshold for each matcher can guarantee a zero false accep- tance rate （FAR） and then use the hybrid ensemble framework makes the false reject rate （FRR） as low as possible. Three ex- periments are performed to verify the effectiveness and gener- alization of the framework. First, two fingerprint verification algorithms are fused. In this test only 10.55% of fingerprints are falsely rejected with zero false acceptance rate, this is sig- nificantly lower than other state of the art methods. Second, in face verification, the framework also results in a large re- duction in incorrect classification. Finally, assessing the per- formance of the framework on a combination of face and gait verification using a heterogeneous database show this frame- work can achieve both 0% false rejection and 0% false accep- tance simultaneously.

Constructing multi-modality and multi-classifier radiomics predictive models through reliable classifier fusion

Radiomics aims to extract and analyze large numbers of quantitative features from medical images and is highly promising in staging, diagnosing, and predicting outcomes of cancer treatments. Nevertheless, several challenges need to be addressed to construct an optimal radiomics predictive model. First, the predictive performance of the model may be reduced when features extracted from an individual imaging modality (e.g. PET, CT, MRI) are blindly combined into a single predictive model. Second, because many different types of classifiers are available to construct a predictive model, selecting an "optimal" classifier for a particular application is still challenging. In this work, we developed multi-modality and multi-classifier radiomics predictive models that address the aforementioned issues in currently available models. Specifically, a new reliable classifier fusion strategy was proposed to optimally combine output from different modalities and classifiers. In this strategy, modality-specific classifiers were first trained, and an analytic evidential reasoning (ER) rule was developed to fuse the output score from each modality to construct an optimal predictive model. One public datasets and two clinical case studies were performed to validate model performance. The experimental results indicated that the proposed ER rule based radiomics models outperformed the traditional models that rely on a single classifier or simply use combined features from different modalities. Architectural distortion is the third most common sign of breast cancer in mammograms. The accurate recognition is important for computer aided diagnosis of breast cancer. However, due to the subtle symptom and complex structures in the mammogram images, it is difficult to recognize whether a region of interest (ROI) is truly an architectural distortion. In this paper, we proposed a new method for architectural distortion recognition. In the proposed method, several texture features are extracted for each region of interest, including features from GLCM matrix, spiculated related features, entropy features, etc. Feature selection is obtained by a sub-classes clustering based multi-task learning method (SMTL), which can utilize the discriminative label information and reflect the multi-clustering characteristic of the data samples. Finally, the powerful sparse representation based classifier is used for the classification of AD or non-AD. The proposed method has been tested on DDSM dataset and compared with several other methods, the experimental results showed the effectiveness of the proposed method.
