The purpose of this article is to address the issue of traditional fault diagnosis methods for rolling bearings, which are unable to accurately diagnose the fault signals of non-linear and non-stationary rolling bearings. To achieve this goal, this article proposes a rolling bearing fault diagnosis method based on wavelet time–frequency maps and an improved ConvNext model. This method first leverages the advantages of wavelet time–frequency analysis to transform the original signal into a two-dimensional wavelet time–frequency map. Subsequently, a new generation of convolutional neural networks, ConvNext, is utilized as the foundational network for rolling bearing fault diagnosis models. The network is enhanced by introducing lightweight attention modules, such as the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) and the Efficient Channel Attention Network (ECA), to improve the Block modules in the basic network. The wavelet time–frequency map is then used as a feature map input to the improved ConvNext network for training, aiming to achieve rolling bearing fault diagnosis recognition. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method exhibits a high level of fault recognition accuracy and stability in laboratory data. It also demonstrates a certain degree of robustness, offering a new solution for rolling bearing fault diagnosis. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

This paper presents an ultrawideband wearable textile antenna for emergency communication applications, and investigates the loading effects of the human body on radiation performance of the antenna. The proposed antenna has a measured operating bandwidth from 0.31 to 1.2 GHz and an average realized gain of 3.32 dBi in free space. Furthermore, the results show that the antenna gain can effectively be improved by properly adjusting the distance between the human body and the antenna. © 2024 IEEE.

controlling a PDE-ODE cascade system with input delay is often challenging even for the case where both PDE and ODE are not complex. This challenge mainly arises due to the existence of input delay, which often leads to poor performance and instability. In this work, we design a state feedback controller for such a system, that is, a PDE-ODE system with input *** controller demonstrates the ability to exponentially stabilize the PDE-ODE cascade system, provided that a carefully chosen parameter is sufficiently small. The proof of stability is established through the construction of a Lyapunov function. Finally, we provide a simulation example that illustrates the effectiveness of our proposed approach.

This paper proposes an equivalent circuit model (ECM) of transmission lines illuminated by high-power microwave (HPM). The electromagnetic coupling issue is transformed into a circuit problem by Thevenin's theorem, and the transfer impedance is fitted by vector fitting. The equivalent circuit method is more efficient than the full wave method with accurate calculation results, and calculation examples including linear and nonlinear loads verify the method.

This paper adopts ADS to model and simulate a standard PIN limiter circuit, studying the effects of I layer thickness and different PRI pulse trains on the limiter's peak leakage characteristics, as well as the conditions for PIN limiters to produce peak leakage. When injecting a Ku-band pulse train with a pulse width of 100 ns and a PRI of 1 ms, the experiment verifies the peak leakage characteristics of the PIN limiter, which provides a way to improve the electromagnetic protection design of the PIN limiter.

Image-text retrieval aims to capture semantic relevance between images and texts. Most existing approaches rely solely on the image-text pairs to learn visual-semantic representation through fine-grained alignments while neglecting the potential beneficial impact of unimodal tasks on cross-modal retrieval. To this end, we present a Multi-Task Collaborative Network (MTCN) that leverages the synergy between multiple tasks to enhance the performance of image-text retrieval. Specifically, we introduce three unimodal tasks, including text-text matching, image multi-label classification, and text multi-label classification, and train together with target task image-text retrieval from the perspective of semantic constraints. Additionally, we employ a modality interaction module for image-text retrieval to discover interrelationships between these two modalities. Subsequently, a cascaded graph convolutional network combined with a multi-layer perceptron is used to infer the correlation scores between images and texts. We conduct comprehensive experiments on two benchmark datasets, Flickr30K and MSCOCO, and the quantitative and qualitative experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. This paper presents a novel 5-DoF (degrees of freedom) tilt-rotor quadcopter. Compared to traditional quadcopters, the vehicle offers more DoF by adding two servo-driven mechanisms. The extra DoF allow it to move at a constant pitch angle, thus adapting it to more scenarios, such as slope landings. In addition, the proposed tilt-rotor quadcopter can generate greater torque around the z-axis of the body coordinate system. This gives it an advantage in some scenarios, such as carrying a manipulator to turn valves in the air. In this paper, we first design and model the proposed tilt-rotor quadcopter. Then, we design the controller and control allocation algorithm for the proposed tilt-rotor quadcopter. The control allocation algorithm has clear analytical solutions, which benefits its implementation and deployment. Finally, the structure and control strategy of the tilt-rotor quadcopter are validated by an experiment. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, recursive least-squares linear estimation algorithms are proposed for stochastic systems influenced by uniform quantization, random access protocol (RAP) and deception attacks. With the purpose of enhancing communication efficiency and reducing unnecessary data collisions, RAP is adopted to schedule data signal transmissions that are also subject to deception attacks. In order to alleviate the side effect of missing information caused by RAP, three compensation strategies (zero-input, zero-order hold and prediction-compensation) are utilized. By resorting to an innovation method, covariance-based filters are designed and then fixed-point smoothers are obtained in light of available observations. Finally, a simulation experiment with comparisons is employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed recursive estimation schemes, where the influence of attack probabilities on estimation accuracy is evaluated. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

Based on the inference ability of Bayesian network under uncertain conditions and the advantages of GO method modeling, the Go-Bayesian network model is constructed based on the function of hibernation wake subsystem, information flow of hibernation wake up, GoBayesian network model operator conversion principle and conversion rules. Monte Carlo simulation reliability index was established to simulate the actual process of hibernate wake subsystem failure. Finally, the reliability result of hibernate wake subsystem obtained by simulation was compared with that obtained by GO-Bayesian model. The relative error was small, which verified the feasibility of GOBayesian model in reliability analysis of hibernate wake subsystem.

We propose Exposure-NeuS, a high fidelity human head reconstruction method from multi-view images, even from exposure-distorted images. Previous methods either did not reconstruct with sufficient accuracy, such as failing to reconstruct hair, or resulted in artifacts or holes in the reconstructed results due to exposure in the input data. To solve these challenging problems, we improve the original fine sampling of the model by using piecewise power function sampling to obtain sampling points closer to the real surface. And we develop a prior latent code to implicitly model factors such as environment and exposure. Experiments show that we eliminate or reduce the erroneous facial depressions and hair holes that occur in the baseline method during reconstruction.
