Many anchor-based object detectors have limitations in the detection process because of the presence of anchors. Therefore, in recent years, many researchers have shifted their focus to designing anchor-free object detectors. In this paper, we initially employ several common anchor-free detectors (CenterNet, FCOS, YOLOX-S, and YOLOV8-S) to detect surface defects in the hot-rolled strip datasets from Northeastern University (NEU-DET). Following experimental comparisons, YOLOV8-S demonstrates the best detection performance (mAP is 78.04% and the FPS is 8.45). Secondly, we utilize transfer learning to mitigate the overfitting problem that large models can induce on small datasets. Finally, we conduct a large number of experimental comparisons to verify the effectiveness of the model. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

The existence of nonlinear joints has a great influence on the dynamics of large flexible sapce *** a prerequisite of attitude control and vibration suppression of flexible spacecraft,it is of great importance to establish highconfidence models of joints to predict its dynamic characteristics ***,a single-degree-of-freedom model of the nonlinear joint is established based on the describing function method and harmonic balance method(HBM).In particular,the dynamic funtions of the joints with cubic stiffness and freeplay nonlinearity are derived,and the response and external excitation data are used to train surrogate models by a multi-step DNN *** validity of the data-driven modeling approach is further verified by response prediction under a different excition ***,the characteristic of an unknown nonlinearjoint is revealed by the data-driven modeling approach based on the experimental data.

Although adaptive estimation of constant parameter has been studied for decades, most of existing methods cannot achieve satisfactory performance for timevarying parameters in particular for nonlinearly parameterized systems. In this paper, a novel adaptive parameter estimation framework based on parameter estimation errors, is proposed to estimate time-varying parameters for generally nonlinearly parameterized systems. The main idea is to restructure the system as a linearly parameterized form through Taylor expansion. Following the introduction of auxiliary filtered variables, the estimation errors of the unknown parameter are derived and used to design an adaptive law to achieve uniform ultimate boundedness under the persistent excitation condition. Furthermore, it is verified that the suggested methods are robust against bounded disturbances. Numerical simulation results validate the effectiveness of adaptive time-varying parameter estimation methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2023.

Non-explosive directional fracturing blasting using coal-based solid waste expanding agent

Aiming at mitigating the high risks associated with conventional explosive blasting, this study developed a safe directional fracturing technique, i.e. instantaneous expansion with a single fracture (IESF), using a coal-based solid waste expanding agent. First, the mechanism of directional fracturing blasting by the IESF was analyzed, and the criterion of directional crack initiation was established. On this basis, laboratory experiments and numerical simulations were conducted to systematically evaluate the directional fracturing blasting performance of the IESF. The results indicate that the IESF presents an excellent directional fracturing effect, with average surface undulation differences ranging from 8.1 mm to 22.7 mm on the fracture surfaces. Moreover, during concrete fracturing tests, the stresses and strains in the fracturing direction are measured to be 2.16–3.71 times and 8 times larger than those in the non-fracturing direction, respectively. Finally, the IESF technique was implemented for no-pillar mining with gob-side entry retaining through roof cutting and pressure relief in an underground coal mine. The IESF technique effectively created directional cracks in the roof without causing severe roadway deformation, achieving an average cutting rate and maximum roadway deformation of 94% and 197 mm, respectively. These on-site test results verified its excellent directional rock fracturing performance. The IESF technique, which is safe, efficient, and green, has considerable application prospects in the field of rock mechanics and engineering. © 2025 Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics, Chinese Academy of sciences

Continuously adaptive signal classification in complex electromagnetic environments is a desired property of realistic intelligent systems. However, the limitation of most existing signal processing tasks and methods lies in their assumption of fixed categories and invariant distributions. In contrast, humans naturally acquire knowledge continuously from data streams, enhancing their capabilities through cross-task knowledge integration and learning from the past. Inspired by this, we propose a continuous learning (CL) method based on selective multi-task coordination (SMTC) to deal with ever-changing task categories and distributions in practical electromagnetic environments (denoted as SMTC-CL). Firstly, we propose a signal task distribution comparison (TDC) method that leverages intra-domain density and inter-domain divergence. TDC selectively activates multiple old tasks to collaboration with the current incremental new task. Secondly, we propose the SMTC method. By revisiting potential collaborative tasks from the past using TDC and formulating different selection strategies based on the context, continuous learners can achieve mutual benefits between past and current tasks in SMTC learning. SMTC can partially alleviate catastrophic forgetting and enable continuous learners to adapt to the changing electromagnetic environment. Based on the signal automatic modulation classification (AMC) and real-world specific emitter identification (SEI) datasets, extensive experimental results validate the effectiveness of our proposed method on a variety of CL scenarios, including varying signal task categories, distributions, and their combinations. © 2015 IEEE.

With the continuous development of information technology, artificial intelligence fire automatic alarm system is gradually developed. However, the current system is based on a single sensor for identification, when a fire still uses manual active fire extinguishing, low efficiency in handling fire, high failure rate, poor system scalability, poor anti-interference ability, high false alarm rate. At the same time, the recognition accuracy is low, the processing speed and intelligence are also insufficient. Therefore. To address the above problems, this study designs a multi-sensor artificial intelligence fire prevention system using smoke and temperature sensors. The fire prevention system can send alarm signals at the earliest stage of fire and can intelligently extinguish the fire, so that the disaster can be controlled and extinguished by taking measures in advance. Meanwhile, the system can continue to work even if one of the sensors is not working properly. © 2023 SPIE.

Constrained multiobjective optimization problems (CMOPs) are prevalent in various real-world applications, presenting a formidable challenge to existing evolutionary algorithms when faced with intricate constraints. When solving CMOPs, a crucial concern is achieving a balance between convergence, diversity, and feasibility. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a two-archive-based constrained multiobjective competitive swarm optimizer. The algorithm preserves two collaborative and complementary archives to improve population convergence and feasibility. By implementing a competitive particle swarm mechanism, offspring solutions are generated by drawing upon solutions from both archives, thus capitalizing on their synergistic effect and exceptional information. An adaptive parameter is also used to adjust the bias in choosing the winner in the paired competition during the evolution. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in handling constrained multiobjective optimization problems. © 2023 IEEE.

In the era of big data,there is an urgent need to establish data trading markets for effectively releasing the tremendous value of the drastically explosive *** security and data pricing,however,are still widely regarded as major challenges in this respect,which motivate this research on the novel multi-blockchain based framework for data trading markets and their associated pricing *** this context,data recording and trading are conducted separately within two separate blockchains:the data blockchain(DChain) and the value blockchain(VChain).This enables the establishment of two-layer data trading markets to manage initial data trading in the primary market and subsequent data resales in the secondary ***,pricing mechanisms are then proposed to protect these markets against strategic trading behaviors and balance the payoffs of both suppliers and ***,in regular data trading on VChain-S2D,two auction models are employed according to the demand scale,for dealing with users’ strategic *** incentive-compatible Vickrey-Clarke-Groves(VCG)model is deployed to the low-demand trading scenario,while the nearly incentive-compatible monopolistic price(MP) model is utilized for the high-demand trading *** temporary data trading on VChain-D2S,a reverse auction mechanism namely two-stage obscure selection(TSOS) is designed to regulate both suppliers’ quoting and users’ valuation ***,experiments are carried out to demonstrate the strength of this research in enhancing data security and trading efficiency.

Rate splitting multiple access (RSMA) has emerged in the integrated satellite-terrestrial networks (ISTNs). However, the satellite-terrestrial channel suffers serious shadow fading and cannot maintain stable communication links effectively. From the perspective of reliability, this correspondence takes the lead in focusing on the outage probability (OP) of ISTNs based on the combination of RSMA and hybrid automatic repeat request with chase combining (HARQ-CC). The lower and upper bounds of OP are derived firstly according to the inclusion-exclusion principle. Then, the diversity order is deduced, pointing out the conditions for full time diversity. Monte Carlo simulations confirm the accuracy of the theoretical results, and superior outage performance of HARQ-CC-aided RSMA is present compared with benchmarks. © 1967-2012 IEEE All rights reserved.

Aiming at the obstacle avoidance problem in the process of the space rendezvous, docking and relative guidance, analysis and compare with the main methods and ways of the autonomous path planning and the obstacle avoidance in motion. Based on the image profile of the obstacle under the spacecraft relative navigation field of view, building dynamically the space obstacle line of sight cone model in real time;Under the condition of the spacecraft's velocity vector point to the inside of the line of the sight cone, we design an artificial exclusion potential field which is perpendicular to the velocity vector and push the velocity vector away from the line of the sight cone. Combined with the model predictive and inversive control guidance, we propose a method which is combined with the model predictive and inversive control guidance and the line of the sight cone artificial repulsion field. The simulation result indicates that the method we proposed can avoid the traditional artificial repulsion field method 's problem, which include the crossing obstacle space, bounces and oscillates around the obstacle space and fly around the distance. This method can better avoid the spacecraft fall into a local stabilization point, effective implementation autonomous avoidance of the space obstacles. © 2021 IEEE
