In this paper, a millimeter-wave (mmW) wide band right-handed circularly polarized (RHCP) horn antenna is designed based on a polarizer with two 90 degree slots loaded on the inner wall of a circular waveguide. The antenna is fed by a standard rectangular waveguide WR-10 waveguide port, and the antenna excitation signal is converted from linear to circular polarization by a circular polarizer. The principle of the antenna is analyzed, the model is simulated and the parameters are optimized, and the design method for obtaining the left-handed circularly polarized (LHCP) antenna based on the RHCP antenna is given. The simulation results show that the reflectance of the antenna is not higher than -24.5 dB, the RHCP gain is greater than or equal to 13.0 dBi, and the axial ratio (AR) is not higher than 3 dB in the range of 84-110 GHz (26.8% relative bandwidth). The proposed antenna is broadband and circularly polarized, and can be widely used in broadband mmW applications.

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image registration is widely used in integrated navigation system with development of guidance system in sensors and other applications. However, there exists some difficulty because of the quality and imaginary principle of SAR images. In this article, a brand-new method based on feature points using improved CSP-DenseNet is proposed to solve the problems of SAR image registration with weak and noisy texture. Deep features of interest points in SAR images are extracted using the proposed network from the crops of search image and template image respectively. The method has an advantage of preserving abundant feature information in SAR images under the influence of insufficient image information and noise of SAR images. The CSP-DenseNet architecture has a cross-stage construction optimizing fused by CSP-Net and DenseNet to extract matching features. The network is partially connected in specific convolutional layers for feature reusing and computation resources saving. Then, Brute Force Matcher and RANSAC voting are successively applied for a larger number of matching pairs and high-precise matching vertexes. Experimental results on various SAR image matching methods show that the proposed method provides better performance than other approaches compared. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, a millimeter wave (mmW) wide band right-handed circularly polarized (RHCP) horn antenna is designed with a polarizer in the form of a rectangular waveguide (RW). The antenna is fed by a standard RW WR-10 waveguide port. The designed polarizer can convert the antenna excitation signal from linearly polarized (LP) to circularly polarized (CP). The antenna is analyzed, modeled and simulated. The simulation results show that the S 11 ≤-22.13dB, the axial ratio (AR) ≤3dB and the RHCP gain ≥15dBi in the range of 35.3% relative bandwidth (77GHz-110GHz). The proposed antenna is broadband and circularly polarized, and would be widely used in satellite communications and 5G mmW communications.

The ozone(O_(3))pollution in China drew lots of attention in recent years,and the Sichuan Basin(SCB)was one of the regions confronting worsening O_(3)pollution *** previous studies have shown that regional transport is an important contributor to O_(3)***,very few features of the O_(3)profile during transport have been reported,especially in the border regions between different administrative *** this study,we conducted tethered balloon soundings in SCB during the summer of 2020 and captured a nocturnal O_(3)transport event during the ***,the O_(3)transport occurred in the bottom of the residual layer,between 200 and 500 m above ground ***,the transport pathway was directed from southeast to northwest based on the analysis of the wind field and air mass *** effect of transport in the residual layer on the surface O_(3)concentration was related to the spatial distribution of O_(3).For cities with high O_(3)concentrations in the upwind region,the transport process would bring clean air masses and abate *** downwind lightly polluted cities,the transport process would slow down the decreasing or even increase the surface O_(3)concentration during the *** provided observational facts on the profile features of a transboundary O_(3)transport event between two provincial administrative divisions,which implicated the importance of joint prevention and control ***,the sounding parameters were limited and the quantitative analysis was preliminary,more integrated,and thorough studies of this topic were called for in the future.

Multi-FPGA with the cascade structure is widely used, which urgently needs the low power loading fuction in the long term working stage. For the same size configuration file, choosing different configuration modes, the configuration circuit design and configuration time could be very different. To analyse the effects for the Multi-FPGA structures, the typical model is researched respectively on master serial (MS), slave serial (SS), slave parallel (SP), active parallel (AP), master parallel (MP), fast SPI, standard SPI and JTAG configuration. And it is demonstrated on the management design of multi-FPGA cascade loading, including factors to be considered, when choosing a configuration mode with overall setup, speed, cost, program upgrade complexity, and applications. Among them, to lower the power, even though the JTAG cascade mode has fast loading speed, the product still needs to be equipped with peripheral devices, such as emulators when upgrading, which is inconvenient to use;the MCU loading mode has slow loading speed, complex overall settings and low cost, and requires a remote computer and network to backup the upgrading;the flash loading mode with fast loading speed, complex overall setting and high cost, supports both remote and local upgrade modes. With all these setting to get the lowest power consumption, the specified type for the MultiFPGA simulation with the cascade structure can only take 2.7 s to load, with the33 MHz clock. © 2023 IEEE.

A wideband dual circularly polarized antenna working in millimeter-wave band is proposed in this paper. The antenna is composed of three substrate layers, a round radiation patch on the top of the 1st substrate layer, a three-stub 3-dB directional coupler planted between the 2nd and 3rd substrate layers, and two capacitive disks in the air layer between the 1st and 2nd substrate layers connected to the coupler through two probes. The proposed antenna has both wide impedance bandwidth of 25.6-34.1 GHz (30%) and wide 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth of 24.1-34.1 GHz (33.3%) simultaneously, with the isolation between two input ports better than 15 dB within the operating band. The proposed antenna is able to achieve left-hand circular polarization (LHCP) or right-hand (RHCP) in a wide bandwidth of about 26-34 GHz (26.7%) and can be used as the units for an antenna array. © 2022 IEEE.

Recently,video object segmentation has received great attention in the computer vision *** of the existing methods heavily rely on the pixel-wise human annotations,which are expensive and time-consuming to *** tackle this problem,we make an early attempt to achieve video object segmentation with scribble-level supervision,which can alleviate large amounts of human labor for collecting the manual ***,using conventional network architectures and learning objective functions under this scenario cannot work well as the supervision information is highly sparse and *** address this issue,this paper introduces two novel elements to learn the video object segmentation *** first one is the scribble attention module,which captures more accurate context information and learns an effective attention map to enhance the contrast between foreground and *** other one is the scribble-supervised loss,which can optimize the unlabeled pixels and dynamically correct inaccurate segmented areas during the training *** evaluate the proposed method,we implement experiments on two video object segmentation benchmark datasets,You Tube-video object segmentation(VOS),and densely annotated video segmentation(DAVIS)-*** first generate the scribble annotations from the original per-pixel ***,we train our model and compare its test performance with the baseline models and other existing *** experiments demonstrate that the proposed method can work effectively and approach to the methods requiring the dense per-pixel annotations.

With the increasing emphasis on embedding advanced technology into system controls, the Direct Power control (DPC) approach has garnered considerable attention due to its simple and highly adaptable algorithm. This approach has been increasingly recognized in numerous applications. However, the variable frequency, harmonic distortion of the currents, and power ripples caused by Hysteresis controllers and switching tables decrease its effectiveness and robustness, affecting the system's performance. For this reason, this paper proposed a new DPC based on Artificial Neural Network (ANN) approaches. In this approach, the hysteresis comparator and the switching table are substituted with ANN controllers and then applied on both sides: machine-side converter (MSC) and grid-side converter (GSC) of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator based Wind Energy Conversion System (PMSG-WECS). Moreover, to make the system more efficient in varying wind conditions, this study expands the utilization of the artificial neural networks (ANN) to encompass the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control strategy. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach on the system behaviors, a simulation test was carried out in the Matlab/Simulink environment, using a real wind profile of a Moroccan city (Essaouira). In comparison to the classical DPC control, the simulation results showed the superior performance of the proposed ANN-DPC control in terms of reference tracking, response time, overshoot, precision, and its capacity to reduce the rate of power ripples and total harmonic distortion (THD) in the injected currents. Furthermore, a robustness test was also included in this work to check the robustness of the proposed control against parameters variation. In conclusion, the feasibility and effectiveness of the ANN-DPC control approach were confirmed through experimental validation using the dspace DS1104 board. © 2024 The Authors

Visual measurement, a critical component in industrial production, often faces accuracy challenges due to image distortion at the edges of the field of view, particularly in large spaces. This paper capitalizes on the robust feature-learning capabilities of deep-learning algorithms tailored for industrial robots in factory settings, and introduces a comprehensive tracking and measurement system, grounded in deep learning, specifically designed for light pen industrial robots. The approach begins with an analysis of the industrial robot's workspace, leading to the installation of a binocular vision sensor on a rotating platform. This setup forms the basis for a novel full-space tracking and measurement device for industrial robots, utilizing a light pen. The system integrates a target detection algorithm with a rotation platform control algorithm, ensuring the light pen remains centered in the camera's field of view in real-time. This innovation addresses the limitations of traditional light pens, particularly their restricted measurement range and reduced accuracy. Furthermore, the transformation matrix between the pixel and world coordinate systems is established by analyzing the relationship between the binocular vision sensor and the precision rotating platform. In the process of pinpointing the sphere center coordinates of the light pen probe, the system establishes a mapping relationship between the marker point and the probe's sphere center. It then employs the cross-ratio invariance principle and the least squares method for precise calculations. Finally, the system's accuracy is validated using the actual dimensions of standard gauge blocks and balls as references. Experimental results demonstrate that the geometric measurement error in the proposed tracking and measurement system on these standard objects is less than 0.1mm. These results offer an alternative for full-space tracking and measurement in complex industrial environments. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, a low-noise frequency-agile Ku-band frequency synthesizer for the wideband frequency hopping communication system is proposed. Three analog PLL (phase locked loop), two of which constitute an in-loop mixing architecture scheme, are used to provide the carrier frequency in wide low-noise frequency coverage. With out-of-loop and in-loop mixing architecture, the carrier frequency source implemented in the paper has superior performance on frequency jitter, which can be shown as the phase noise level less than -107.3dBc/Hz@1kHz when the carrier frequency is between 12 GHz to 15 GHz in 2 MHz steps. The spurious level is below -64 dBc, and the frequency hopping time is less than 40 us.
