Bioleaching of vanadium from stone coal vanadium ore by Bacillus mucilaginosus:Influencing factors and mechanism

Vanadium and its derivatives are used in various industries,including steel,metallurgy,pharmaceuticals,and aerospace *** China has massive reserves of stone coal resources,these resources have low ***,the effective extraction and recovery of metallic vanadium from stone coal is an important way to realize the efficient resource utilization of stone coal vanadium ***,Bacillus mucilaginosus was selected as the leaching *** vanadium leaching rate reached 35.5%after 20 d of bioleaching under optimal operating *** cumulative vanadium leaching rate in the contact group reached 35.5%,which was higher than that in the noncontact group(9.3%).The metabolites of ***,such as oxalic,tartaric,citric,and malic acids,dominated in bioleaching,accounting for 73.8%of the vanadium leaching ***,during leaching,the presence of stone coal stimulated the expression of carbonic anhydrase in bacterial cells,and enzyme activity increased by 1.335-1.905 *** activity positively promoted the production of metabolite organic acids,and total organic acid content increased by 39.31 mg·L^(-1),resulting in a reduction of 2.51 in the pH of the leaching system with stone *** effect favored the leaching of vanadium from stone *** force microscopy illustrated that bacterial leaching exacerbated corrosion on the surface of stone coal beyond 10 *** study provides a clear and promising strategy for exploring the bioleaching mechanism from the perspective of microbial enzyme activity and metabolites.

This study focuses on the spatiotemporal distribution,urban-rural variations,and driving factors of ammonia Vertical Column Densities(VCDs)in China’s Yangtze River Delta region(YRD)from 2008 to *** data from the Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interfer-ometer(IASI),Generalized Additive Models(GAM),and the GEOS-Chem chemical transport model,we observed a significant increase of NH_(3)VCDs in the YRD between 2014 and *** spatial distribution analysis revealed higher NH_(3)concentrations in the northern part of the YRD region,primarily due to lower precipitation,alkaline soil,and intensive agricul-tural ***_(3)VCDs in the YRD region increased significantly(65.18%)from 2008 to *** highest growth rate occurs in the summer,with an annual average growth rate of 7.2%during the period from 2014 to *** emissions dominated NH_(3)VCDs during spring and summer,with high concentrations primarily located in the agricultural areas adjacent to densely populated urban *** within several large urban areas have been discovered to exhibit relatively stable variations in NH_(3)*** rise in NH_(3)VCDs within the YRD region was primarily driven by the reduction of acidic gases like SO_(2),as emphasized by GAM modeling and sensitivity tests using the GEOS-Chem *** concentration changes of acidic gases contribute to over 80%of the interannual variations in NH_(3)*** emphasizes the crucial role of environmental policies targeting the reduction of these acidic *** emission control is urgent tomitigate environmental hazards and secondary particulate matter,especially in the northern YRD.

Synthetic Cu(Ⅲ)from copper plating wastewater for onsite decomplexation of Cu(Ⅱ)-and Ni(Ⅱ)-organic complexes

Herein,the Cu(Ⅲ)synthesized from copper plating effluent was developed for the first time to evaluate the onsite degradation performance of heavy metal complexes in the wastewater,thus achieving the purpose of“treating waste with waste”.The results indicated that synthetic Cu(Ⅲ)presented the excellent decomplexation performance for Cu(Ⅱ)/Ni(Ⅱ)-organic *** removal efficiency of Cu(Ⅱ)/Ni(Ⅱ)-EDTA significantly increased with increasing Cu(Ⅲ)dosage,and the degradation of Cu(Ⅱ)/Ni(Ⅱ)-EDTA by synthetic Cu(Ⅲ)system displayed highly p H-dependent *** radical quencher experiments confirmed that Cu(Ⅲ)direct oxidation were mainly involved in the degradation of Cu(Ⅱ)-***,the continuous decarboxylation process was proven to be the main degradation pathway of Cu(Ⅱ)-EDTA in Cu(Ⅲ)*** coexisting substances(SO42-,Cl-and fulvic acids)showed little impacts at low level for the removal of Cu(Ⅱ)/Ni(Ⅱ)-EDTA,while retarded the degradation of Cu(Ⅱ)-EDTA slightly at high level,which features high selective ***,it was also effective to remove Cu(Ⅱ)/Ni(Ⅱ)-EDTA from in treating actual Cu/Ni-containing wastewater through synthetic Cu(Ⅲ)treatment.

A colorimetric nanobiosensor with enhanced sensitivity for detection of lead(Ⅱ)in real-water samples via an adeninecytosine mismatched DNAzyme

Facile and ultrasensitive detection of Pb^(2+)in water for remote or resource-limited environments remains ***-based colorimetric nanobiosensors have been extensively studied to regulate the assembly of functionalized gold nanoparticles(AuNPs).However,these nanobiosensors have been criticized for their low sensitivity owing to the difficulty of dissociating DNAzyme embedded in AuNP *** address this issue,we rationally designed a DNAzyme by introducing an adenine-cytosine(A-C)mismatch to strengthen the disassembly of DNAzyme-linked *** proof of concept,a“turn on”colorimetric nanobiosensor integrated with mismatched DNAzyme and functionalized AuNPs was first developed for Pb^(2+)*** the optimal detection conditions,the obtained typical calibration curve shows a detection limit of 8.6 nmol/L,with an approximately 11-fold sensitivity improvement in Pb^(2+)detection compared with unmismatched DNAzyme,and a linear response range from 10 to 300 nmol/*** nanobiosensor demonstrated robust selectivity and satisfactory recovery rates between 86.5%and 106.4%for Pb^(2+)in spiked environmental water ***,the detection process is user-friendly and can be completed within 30 min,requiring only a simple water sample addition *** the extensive applications of DNAzyme in conjunction with nanoparticles,this study provides a valuable reference for designing other DNAzyme-powered nanoparticle assemblies in biosensing systems.

A biochar-assisted anaerobic membrane bioreactor(BC-AnMBR)was conducted to evaluate the performance in treating swine wastewater with different organic loading rates(OLR)ranging from 0.38 to 1.13 kg-COD/(m3.d).Results indicated that adding spent coffee grounds biochar(SCG-BC)improved the organic removal efficiency compared to the conventional AnMBR,with an overall COD removal rate of>95.01%.Meanwhile,methane production of up to 0.22 LCH4/gCOD with an improvement of 45.45%was achieved under a high OLR of 1.13 kg-COD/(m3.d).Furthermore,the transmembrane pressure(TMP)in the BC-AnMBR system was stable at 4.5 kPa,and no irreversible membrane fouling occurred within 125 *** community analysis revealed that the addition of SCG-BC increased the relative abundance of autotrophic methanogenic archaea,particularly Methanosarcina(from 0.11%to 11.16%)and Methanothrix(from 16.34%to 24.05%).More importantly,Desulfobacterota and Firmicutes phylum with direct interspecific electron transfer(DIET)capabilities were also enriched with autotrophic *** of the electron transfer pathway showed that the concentration of c-type cytochromes increased by 38.60%in the presence of SCGBC,and thus facilitated the establishment of DIET and maintained high activity of the elec-tron transfer system even at high *** short,the BC-AnMBR system performs well under various OLR conditions and is stable in the recovery energy system for swine wastewater.
