Bilateral teleoperation system is referred to as a promising technology to extend human actions and intelligence to manipulating objects *** the tracking control of teleoperation systems,velocity measurements are necessary to provide feedback ***,due to hardware technology and cost constraints,the velocity measurements are not always *** addition,the time-varying communication delay makes it challenging to achieve tracking *** paper provides a solution to the issue of real-time tracking for teleoperation systems,subjected to unavailable velocity signals and time-varying communication *** order to estimate the velocity information,immersion and invariance(I&I)technique is employed to develop an exponential stability velocity *** the proposed velocity observer,a linear relationship between position and observation state is constructed,through which the need of solving partial differential and certain integral equations can be ***,the mean value theorem is exploited to separate the observation error terms,and hence,all functions in our observer can be analytically *** the estimated velocity information,a slave-torque feedback control law is presented.A novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is constructed to establish asymptotic tracking *** particular,the relationship between the controller design parameters and the allowable maximum delay values is ***,simulation and experimental results reveal that the proposed velocity observer and controller can guarantee that the observation errors and tracking error converge to zero.

Face recognition (FR) technology has numerous applications in artificial intelligence including biometrics, security,authentication, law enforcement, and surveillance. Deep learning (DL) models, notably convolutional neuralnetworks (CNNs), have shown promising results in the field of FR. However CNNs are easily fooled since theydo not encode position and orientation correlations between features. Hinton et al. envisioned Capsule Networksas a more robust design capable of retaining pose information and spatial correlations to recognize objects morelike the brain does. Lower-level capsules hold 8-dimensional vectors of attributes like position, hue, texture, andso on, which are routed to higher-level capsules via a new routing by agreement algorithm. This provides capsulenetworks with viewpoint invariance, which has previously evaded CNNs. This research presents a FR model basedon capsule networks that was tested using the LFW dataset, COMSATS face dataset, and own acquired photos usingcameras measuring 128 × 128 pixels, 40 × 40 pixels, and 30 × 30 pixels. The trained model outperforms state-ofthe-art algorithms, achieving 95.82% test accuracy and performing well on unseen faces that have been blurred orrotated. Additionally, the suggested model outperformed the recently released approaches on the COMSATS facedataset, achieving a high accuracy of 92.47%. Based on the results of this research as well as previous results, capsulenetworks perform better than deeper CNNs on unobserved altered data because of their special equivarianceproperties.

To enhance the reliability of rotating machinery, cross-domain fault diagnosis becomes vital for detecting faults under unknown operating conditions. However, multi-source domain imbalanced data present significant challenges, as divergent label distributions across domains cause complex domain-class shifts and degrade the performance of cross-domain fault diagnosis. Moreover, diagnostic models often struggle to learn features from minority classes due to label imbalance within each domain, which may degrade the performance in diagnosing these minority classes. To address these challenges, we propose a Dual-Reweighted Siamese Contrastive learning network (DRSC) for cross-domain fault diagnosis with multi-source domain imbalanced data. In DRSC, we design a Siamese feature extractor based on a wide-kernel convolutional neural network to capture short-term characteristics and leverage the convenience in extracting domain-invariant features. Subsequently, to alleviate domain-class shifts, we design a reweighted contrastive domain-class alignment mechanism that strategically pulls domain-class pairs together while pushing other health conditions away. Finally, to enable the diagnostic model to learn from minority health conditions, a reweighted health condition classifier is developed by assigning higher weights to the minority classes. Evaluation results on two public datasets illustrate DRSC outperforms comparison models in cross-domain fault diagnosis. © 2014 IEEE.

In past few year designs thinking has worked on several new effective problem and has generated innovative solution for new business model. Phishing attacks steal sensitive credentials using different techniques, tools, and some sophisticated methods. The techniques include content injection, information re-routing, social engineering, server hacking, social networking, SMS and WhatsApp mobile applications. To overcome such attacks and minimize risks of such attacks, many phishing detection and avoidance techniques were introduced. Among various techniques, deep learning algorithms achieved the efficient results. In the proposed work, a transformers-based technique is used to classify phishing emails. The proposed method outperformed the other similar mechanisms for the classification of phishing emails. The phishing classification accuracy achieved by the proposed work is 99.51% using open-source datasets. The proposed model is also used to learn and validate the correctness of the in-house created datasets. Mobile edge computing (MEC) integrated with Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) helps run a wide range of services implemented by Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) deployed at MEC networks. This emerging paradigm offers flexible edge resource management for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and improves service satisfaction of diverse applications. However, a critical challenge lies in processing extremely unpredictable and bursty traffic flow, especially in event-trigger sensing tasks. In this paper, we study queue-aware service migration and resource allocation in an MEC network, where different devices with different arrival patterns request different network services. To this end, we first formulate a novel long-term operation cost minimization problem subject to the stability of multiple queues by adopting a simultaneous migration scheme and determining resource allocation dynamically. To address the problem efficiently, we propose an online control framework to make decisions without any prior system *** first adopt the Lyapunov optimization technique to decompose the long-term optimization problem into multiper-slot subproblems. Then, we adopt a decoupled optimization algorithm based on the coordinate descent method and augmented Lagrangian method to solve the offline mixed integer non-linear programming (MINLP) subproblems. Extensive results reveal that the proposed online optimization framework can efficiently balance queue stability and cost consumption. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Plant disease recognition is of vital importance to monitor plant development and predicting crop ***,due to data degradation caused by different conditions of image acquisition,e.g.,laboratory *** environment,machine learning-based recognition models generated within a specific dataset(source domain)tend to lose their validity when generalized to a novel dataset(target domain).To this end,domain adaptation methods can be leveraged for the recognition by learning invariant representations across *** this paper,we aim at addressing the issues of domain shift existing in plant disease recognition and propose a novel unsupervised domain adaptation method via uncertainty regularization,namely,Multi-Representation Subdomain Adaptation Network with Uncertainty Regularization for Cross-Species Plant Disease Classification(MSUN).Our simple but effective MSUN makes a breakthrough in plant disease recognition in the wild by using a large amount of unlabeled data and via nonadversarial ***,MSUN comprises multirepresentation,subdomain adaptation modules and auxiliary uncertainty *** multirepresentation module enables MSUN to learn the overall structure of features and also focus on capturing more details by using the multiple representations of the source *** effectively alleviates the problem of large interdomain *** adaptation is used to capture discriminative properties by addressing the issue of higher interclass similarity and lower intraclass ***,the auxiliary uncertainty regularization effectively suppresses the uncertainty problem due to domain *** was experimentally validated to achieve optimal results on the PlantDoc,Plant-Pathology,Corn-Leaf-Diseases,and Tomato-Leaf-Diseases datasets,with accuracies of 56.06%,72.31%,96.78%,and 50.58%,respectively,surpassing other state-of-the-art domain adaptation techniques considerably.

Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) have been increasingly adopted for graph analysis in web applications such as social networks. Yet, efficient GNN serving remains a critical challenge due to high workload fluctuations and intricate GNN operations. Serverless computing, thanks to its flexibility and agility, offers on-demand serving of GNN inference requests. Alas, the request-centric serverless model is still too coarse-grained to avoid resource waste. Observing the significant data locality in computation graphs of requests, we propose λGrapher, a serverless system for GNN serving that achieves resource efficiency through graph sharing and fine-grained resource allocation. "Grapher features the following designs: (1) adaptive timeout for request buffering to balance resource efficiency and inference latency, (2) graph-centric scheduling to minimize computation and memory redundancy, and (3) resource-centric function management with fine-grained resource allocation catered to the resource sensitivities of GNN operations and function orchestration optimized to hide communication latency. We implement a prototype of λGrapher based on the representative open-source serverless platform Knative and evaluate it with real-world traces from various web applications. Our results show that λGrapher can achieve an average savings of 61.5% in memory resource and 47.2% in computing resource compared with the state of the arts while ensuring GNN inference latency. © 2024 ACM.

Intelligent vehicle tracking and detection are crucial tasks in the realm of highway ***,vehicles come in a range of sizes,which is challenging to detect,affecting the traffic monitoring system’s overall *** learning is considered to be an efficient method for object detection in vision-based *** this paper,we proposed a vision-based vehicle detection and tracking system based on a You Look Only Once version 5(YOLOv5)detector combined with a segmentation *** model consists of six *** the first step,all the extracted traffic sequence images are subjected to pre-processing to remove noise and enhance the contrast level of the *** pre-processed images are segmented by labelling each pixel to extract the uniform regions to aid the detection phase.A single-stage detector YOLOv5 is used to detect and locate vehicles in *** detection was exposed to Speeded Up Robust Feature(SURF)feature extraction to track multiple *** on this,a unique number is assigned to each vehicle to easily locate them in the succeeding image frames by extracting them using the feature-matching ***,we implemented a Kalman filter to track multiple *** the end,the vehicle path is estimated by using the centroid points of the rectangular bounding box predicted by the tracking *** experimental results and comparison reveal that our proposed vehicle detection and tracking system outperformed other state-of-the-art *** proposed implemented system provided 94.1%detection precision for Roundabout and 96.1%detection precision for Vehicle Aerial Imaging from Drone(VAID)datasets,respectively.
