Preserving details and avoiding high computational costs are the two main challenges for the High-Resolution Salient Object Detection (HRSOD) task. In this paper, we propose a two-stage HRSOD model from the perspective of evolution and succession, including an evolution stage with Low-resolution Location Model (LrLM) and a succession stage with High-resolution Refinement Model (HrRM). The evolution stage achieves detail-preserving salient objects localization on the low-resolution image through the evolution mechanisms on supervision and feature;the succession stage utilizes the shallow high-resolution features to complement and enhance the features inherited from the first stage in a lightweight manner and generate the final high-resolution saliency prediction. Besides, a new metric named Boundary-Detail-aware Mean Absolute Error (MAEBD) is designed to evaluate the ability to detect details in high-resolution scenes. Extensive experiments on five datasets demonstrate that our network achieves superior performance at real-time speed (49 FPS) compared to state-of-the-art methods. In the big data environment, customer information is lengthy and complex, and lenders need to connect with users on the Internet. Therefore, higher requirements are required for the identification of customers. In view of the above problems, this paper proposes a credit default detection model based on improved smote algorithm and GA_LightGBM algorithm to detect customer credit default behavior. The experimental results show that the model has a good prediction effect in the aspect of user credit default. © 2022 ACM.

LoRa technology contributes to green energy by enabling efficient,long-range communication for the Internet of Things(IoT).This paper addresses the challenges related to coverage range in outdoor monitoring systems utilizing LoRa,where the network performance is affected by the density of gateways(GWs)and end devices(EDs),as well as environmental *** mitigate interference,data throughput losses,and high-power consumption,the proposed spreading factor(SF)and hybrid(data rate|SF)models dynamically adjust the transmission *** orchestration of concurrent data modifications within the network server(NS)is crucial for uninterrupted communication between GWs and EDs,especially in monitoring electric vehicle(EV)stations to reduce traffic congestion and *** K-means and density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN)algorithms optimizes ED allocation,averts data congestion,and improves the signal-tointerference noise ratio(SINR).These methods ensure seamless information reception by meticulously allocated EDs across various GW *** estimate the free-space losses(FSL),a log-distance path loss model(log-PL)is *** various bandwidths(BWs),bidirectional communications,and duty cycles(DCs)helps to prevent saturation,thus prolonging the operational lifespan of *** findings reveal a notable packet rejection rate(PRR)of 0%for the DBSCAN(hybrid model).In contrast,the K-means exhibits a PRR ranging from 5%(hybrid model)to 35.29%(SF model)for the ten GWs ***,the network saturation is reduced to 10.185%and 9.503%,respectively,highlighting an improvement in the average efficiency of slotted ALOHA(91.1%)and pure ALOHA(90.7%).These enhancements increase the lifespan of EDs to 15,465.27 days.

Two-dimensional (2D) multiferroic materials have widespread application prospects in facilitating the integration and miniaturization of nanodevices. However, the magnetic, ferroelectric, and ferrovalley properties in one 2D material are rarely coupled. Here, we propose a mechanism for manipulating magnetism, ferroelectric, and valley polarization by interlayer sliding in a 2D bilayer material. Monolayer GdI2is a ferromagnetic semiconductor with a valley polarization of up to 155.5 meV. More interestingly, the magnetism and valley polarization of bilayer GdI2can be strongly coupled by sliding ferroelectricity, making these tunable and reversible. In addition, we uncover the microscopic mechanism of the magnetic phase transition by a spin Hamiltonian and electron hopping between layers. Our findings offer a new direction for investigating 2D multiferroic devices with implications for next-generation electronic, valleytronic, and spintronic devices.

Nowadays, UUV clusters have become the main carriers for ocean environment monitoring. In this application, the positioning of UUV nodes during voyages is of great importance. A cooperative positioning method for UUV clusters is presented in this paper. It utilizes factor graphs to fuse ranging information from each UUV node, and predicts movement path based on multiple confocal positioning models. The comparison results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves higher positioning accuracy, faster convergence speed, and good suppression capability for mutation errors. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, artificial intelligence and automotive industry have developed rapidly, and autonomous driving has gradually become the focus of the industry. In road networks, the problem of proximity detection refers to detecting whether two moving objects are close to each other or not in real time. However, the battery life and computing capability of mobile devices are limited in the actual scene,which results in high latency and energy consumption. Therefore, it is a tough problem to determine the proximity relationship between mobile users with low latency and energy consumption. In this article, we aim at finding a tradeoff between latency and energy consumption. We formalize the computation offloading problem base on mobile edge computing(MEC)into a constrained multiobjective optimization problem(CMOP) and utilize NSGA-II to solve it. The simulation results demonstrate that NSGA-II can find the Pareto set, which reduces the latency and energy consumption effectively. In addition, a large number of solutions provided by the Pareto set give us more choices of the offloading decision according to the actual situation.

Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries have emerged as a cornerstone of electric vehicles (EVs), enabling the road transportation towards net zero. The success of electric vehicles largely hinges on the battery performance and safety. It is challenging to test and predict battery performance and safety issues by conventional methods, which are usually time-consuming and expensive, involving significant human and measurement errors. To enable the quick estimation of battery performance and safety, we developed three data-driven machine learning (ML) models, namely a convolutional neural network (CNN), a long short-term memory (LSTM), and a CNN-LSTM to predict battery discharge curves and local maximum temperature (hot spot) under various operating conditions. The developed ML models mitigated data scarcity by employing a three-dimensional multi-physics Li-ion battery model to generate enormous and diverse high-quality data. It was found the CNN-LSTM model outperforms the others and achieved high accuracy of 98.68% to learn discharge curves and battery maximum temperature, owing to the integration of spatial and sequential feature extraction. The battery safety can be improved by comparing the predicted maximum battery temperature against safe temperature threshold. The proposed data development and data-driven ML models are of great potential to provide digital tools for engineering high-performance and safe EVs.

In the modern era of a growing population,it is arduous for humans to monitor every aspect of sports,events occurring around us,and scenarios or *** recognition of different types of sports and events has increasingly incorporated the use of machine learning and artificial *** research focuses on detecting and recognizing events in sequential photos characterized by several factors,including the size,location,and position of people’s body parts in those pictures,and the influence around those *** approaches utilized,here are feature descriptors such as MSER(Maximally Stable Extremal Regions),SIFT(Scale-Invariant Feature Transform),and DOF(degree of freedom)between the joint points are applied to the skeleton ***,for the same purposes,other features such as BRISK(Binary Robust Invariant Scalable Keypoints),ORB(Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF),and HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradients)are applied on full body or *** integration of these techniques increases the discriminative nature of characteristics retrieved in the identification process of the event,hence improving the efficiency and reliability of the entire *** extracted features are passed to the early fusion and DBscan for feature fusion and *** deep belief,network is employed for *** results demonstrate a separate experiment’s detection average recognition rate of 87%in the HMDB51 video database and 89%in the YouTube database,showing a better perspective than the current methods in sports and event identification.

Orbital angular momentum(OAM)modes provide an additional orthogonal physical dimension,offering transformative potential for enhancing optical communication *** significant progress in mode multiplexing,the development of robust communication networks faces persistent challenges,particularly in effectively routing and controlling these multiplexed channels among network *** tackle these dilemmas,we propose a rotatable diffractive neural network(R-DNN)strategy and demonstrate its capability for port-controllable OAM mode *** leveraging the correlation between the orthogonal evolution of OAM modes in free space and phase modulations during propagation,the R-DNN precisely shapes the spatial evolution of mode fields through multiple rotatable phase layers,enabling efficient routing to specific output *** approach exploits the interaction of secondary wavelets with the relative states of the rotatable layers,allowing on-demand control of mode evolution paths and enhancing routing *** a proof of concept,we developed a tri-functional router that successfully directs three OAM modes to individually controllable output *** router achieves an average intermode crosstalk of less than−16.4 dB across three functional states,one-dimensional,two-dimensional,and cross-connected switching,while supporting the routing of 5.85 Tbit/s quadrature phase-shift keying *** results highlight the R-DNN’s effectiveness in achieving precise and controllable OAM mode manipulation,paving the way for advanced applications in mode-multiplexed communication networks and beyond.
