Joint Optimization of Latency and Energy Consumption for Mobile Edge Computing Based Proximity Detection in Road Networks

In recent years, artificial intelligence and automotive industry have developed rapidly, and autonomous driving has gradually become the focus of the industry. In road networks, the problem of proximity detection refers to detecting whether two moving objects are close to each other or not in real time. However, the battery life and computing capability of mobile devices are limited in the actual scene,which results in high latency and energy consumption. Therefore, it is a tough problem to determine the proximity relationship between mobile users with low latency and energy consumption. In this article, we aim at finding a tradeoff between latency and energy consumption. We formalize the computation offloading problem base on mobile edge computing(MEC)into a constrained multiobjective optimization problem(CMOP) and utilize NSGA-II to solve it. The simulation results demonstrate that NSGA-II can find the Pareto set, which reduces the latency and energy consumption effectively. In addition, a large number of solutions provided by the Pareto set give us more choices of the offloading decision according to the actual situation.

The emergence of vascular interventional surgery robot (VISR) has brought good news to patients. However, the current research on the master manipulator is still in its infancy. Nowadays, the shortcomings of the developed master manipulator include poor portability, lack of tactile feedback devices, not in line with surgeon's operating habits and so on. In order to solve the above problems, a novel master manipulator is proposed in this paper. In order to realize the linear displacement measurement of the operating handle, a linear displacement measurement (LDM) unit based on rollers was proposed. By using the brushed DC motor and the bevel gears, the angular displacement measurement (ADM) unit and the circumferential force feedback (CFF) unit were designed. The decoupling of the operating rod and the rotating rod facilitated the portability of the proposed manipulator. Evaluation experimental results showed that the maximum linear error of the master manipulator was 0.296mm and the maximum angular displacement error was 7.66 degrees, which is acceptable. Moreover, the mathematical relationship between the circumferential force generated by the CFF and the input current was also obtained. To sum up, compared with other master manipulators, the proposed master manipulator is shown to be better and more promising. © 2023 IEEE.

In the modern era of a growing population,it is arduous for humans to monitor every aspect of sports,events occurring around us,and scenarios or *** recognition of different types of sports and events has increasingly incorporated the use of machine learning and artificial *** research focuses on detecting and recognizing events in sequential photos characterized by several factors,including the size,location,and position of people’s body parts in those pictures,and the influence around those *** approaches utilized,here are feature descriptors such as MSER(Maximally Stable Extremal Regions),SIFT(Scale-Invariant Feature Transform),and DOF(degree of freedom)between the joint points are applied to the skeleton ***,for the same purposes,other features such as BRISK(Binary Robust Invariant Scalable Keypoints),ORB(Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF),and HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradients)are applied on full body or *** integration of these techniques increases the discriminative nature of characteristics retrieved in the identification process of the event,hence improving the efficiency and reliability of the entire *** extracted features are passed to the early fusion and DBscan for feature fusion and *** deep belief,network is employed for *** results demonstrate a separate experiment’s detection average recognition rate of 87%in the HMDB51 video database and 89%in the YouTube database,showing a better perspective than the current methods in sports and event identification.

Software vulnerability detection is a critical aspect of ensuring the security and reliability of software systems. However, traditional vulnerability detection approaches often have limitations due to the scarcity and need for more diversity in labeled data. This research introduces a novel approach to overcome these challenges by utilizing user-defined identifiers in the source code to generate counterfactual training data. User-defined identffiers, such as variable and function names, contain essential information about the intentions and logic of the program. By perturbing these identifiers while maintaining the syntactic and semantic structure of the code, we create a diverse set of counterfactual examples that simulate potential vulnerabilities. When combined with existing labeled data, these counterfactual examples enrich the training process for vulnerability detection models. To evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, we conduct experiments on various datasets, achieving state-of-the-art performance on the VulDeePecker and Draper datasets. Our approach also outperforms models that utilize the same pre-trained language model in terms of accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

Enhancing Skin Cancer Diagnosis with Deep Learning:A Hybrid CNN-RNN Approach

Skin cancer diagnosis is difficult due to lesion presentation variability. Conventionalmethods struggle to manuallyextract features and capture lesions spatial and temporal variations. This study introduces a deep learning-basedConvolutional and Recurrent Neural Network (CNN-RNN) model with a ResNet-50 architecture which usedas the feature extractor to enhance skin cancer classification. Leveraging synergistic spatial feature extractionand temporal sequence learning, the model demonstrates robust performance on a dataset of 9000 skin lesionphotos from nine cancer types. Using pre-trained ResNet-50 for spatial data extraction and Long Short-TermMemory (LSTM) for temporal dependencies, the model achieves a high average recognition accuracy, surpassingprevious methods. The comprehensive evaluation, including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, underscoresthe model’s competence in categorizing skin cancer types. This research contributes a sophisticated model andvaluable guidance for deep learning-based diagnostics, also this model excels in overcoming spatial and temporalcomplexities, offering a sophisticated solution for dermatological diagnostics research.

In recent years, with the increasing number of stroke patients, master-slave telerehabilitation has become one of the research hotspots in the field of rehabilitation. However, when estimating the angle of the main end, the angle estimation model is difficult to be widely applicable due to the different muscle tension of the physiotherapist itself. During remote rehabilitation training, it is difficult for physical therapists to obtain the damage of the affected limb, so it is difficult to arrange appropriate training intensity and training volume, which affects the effect of remote rehabilitation to a certain extent. To address these issues, this paper proposes a novel master-slave rehabilitation system. The therapist obtains his own muscle tension level a priori through FSR402, and jointly estimates the movement angle through the (Surface Electromyography) sEMG signal collected by MYO, so as to control the slave end. While following the rehabilitation training, the patient at the slave end reflects real-time muscle force of the affected limb and the true feeling of the movement to the master end through the muscle tension measurement arm cuff and the relevant buttons on the PC end. The overall system realizes data transmission through (User Datagram Protocol) UDP, so as to realize more secure and personalized master-slave control. The experiment proves that the new master-slave rehabilitation system is real and feasible. © 2023 IEEE.

As a key biomarker for noninvasive diagnosis of diabetes,the selective detection of trace acetone in exhaled gas using a portable and low-cost device remains a great *** metal oxide(SMO)based gas sensors have drawn signification attention due to their potential in miniaturization,user-friendliness,high cost-effectiveness and selective real-time detection for noninvasive clinical ***,we propose a one-pot solvent evaporation induced tricomponent co-assembly strategy to design a novel ordered mesoporous SMO of silica-implanted WO_(3)(Si O_(2)/WO_(3))as sensing materials for trace acetone *** controlled co-assembly of silicon and tungsten precursors and amphiphilic diblock copolymer poly(ethylene oxide)-block-polystyrene(PEO-b-PS),and the subsequent thermal treatment enable the local lattice disorder of WO_(3)induced by the amorphous silica and the formation of ordered mesoporous Si O_(2)/WO_(3)hybrid walls with a unique metastableε-phase WO_(3)*** obtained mesoporous SiO_(2)/WO_(3)composites possess highly crystalline framework with large uniform pore size(12.0-13.3 nm),high surface area(99-113 m^(2)/g)and pore volume(0.17-0.23 cm^(3)/g).Typically,the asfabricated gas sensor based on mesoporous 2.5%Si O_(2)/WO_(3)exhibits rapid response/recovery rate(5/17 s),superior sensitivity(R_(air)/R_(gas)=105 for 50 ppm acetone),as well as high selectivity towards *** limit of detection is as low as 0.25 ppm,which is considerably lower than the thresh value of acetone concentration(>1.1 ppm)in the exhaled breath of diabetic patients,demonstrating its great prospect in real-time monitoring in diabetes ***,the mesoporous 2.5%Si O_(2)/WO_(3)sensor is integrated into a wireless sensing module connected to a smart phone,providing a convenient real-time detection of acetone.

Faced with the increase in upper limb hemiplegia caused by stroke, robotic exoskeleton-assisted home-based telerehabilitation has attracted increasing attention in recent years. Telerehabilitation is a viable alternative to traditional face-to-face rehabilitation training, which has many advantages. In this paper, a preliminary therapist-in-the-loop haptic-enable telerehabilitation system for upper limb training is presented. In the telerehabilitation system, a high-definition haptic device manipulated by the operator (served as the therapist) is the master side, and the designed upper limb rehabilitation exoskeleton worn by the subject (served as the stroke patient) is the slave side. The master-slave side realizes the operation and force data transmission through TCP/IP communication protocol. Through experiments, the angle error and time delay are analyzed, which proves the usability of the constructed system and lays the foundation for the subsequent research. © 2023 IEEE.
