In the scenario that multiple missiles intercept one active defense target with multiple defenders. The missiles aim to finish the tasks that intercept the target from different directions to achieve saturation and evade from the defenders at the same time and each defender aim at different missile. Different from the existing results, multiple defenders are concerned in the scenario. Firstly, the guidance problem is separated into two decoupled part which is missiles-target (MT) problem and missile-defender (MD) problem. Secondly, the linearized kinematics of MD and MT model is established. Thirdly, the guidance problem is transformed into a bilateral optimal problem and the guidance laws is obtained by solving the Hamilton function. Finally, numerical simulation is given to verify the correctness of the acquired theories. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In this study,we fabricated multifunctional metastructures from carbon fiber-reinforced plastic composites using additive manufacturing *** metastructures are characterized by their lightweight,load-bearing capacity,and broadband low-frequency sound absorption *** metastructure consists of 36 unit cells,and non-local coupling mechanism was considered for designing the sound absorption *** developed an acoustic impedance theory tailored for the metastructure,facilitating an analysis of thermal and viscous dissipation *** is proven theoretically and experimentally that the proposed composite metastructure can achieve a noise reduction with an average sound absorption coefficient greater than 0.9 across frequencies in the rage of 330-1500 *** also studied the metastructure’s quasi-static and cyclic compression performance,confirming its efficient absorption capabilities after cyclic *** proposed design and additive manufacturing method for composite metastructures provides a novel pathway for creating lightweight,multifunctional structures with diverse applications,such as aerospace engineering.

Cooperative guidance of multiple missiles against a non-cooperative target with angle constraint and time constraint is investigated. Firstly, guidance model is constructed from guidance kinematics. Secondly, an exponentially convergent state observer and an extended-state-observer (ESO) are designed respectively to estimate unknown target information. Thirdly, a finite time convergent cooperative guidance law with time constraint is designed in line-of-sight (LOS) direction, and the influence of observation error is considered. Another guidance law with angle constraint is designed in normal LOS direction and the scenario of actuator failure is considered. Finally, the simulation of four missiles cooperatively intercepting a maneuvering target is built to verify the feasibility of the proposed guidance laws. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In order to solve the problems of long cycle and the difficulty of test, this paper proposes a method of power-in-the-loop motor simulator. Firstly, the topology of the motor simulator is proposed, composed of an interface filtering unit, a motor simulation unit and an energy management unit. Secondly, a discretization method for permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) is designed for DSP control. Thirdly, this paper proposes a method combining quasi-proportional resonance control(QPR) and direct current control to ensure the control accuracy. Finally, the motor simulator is verified by experiments. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper investigates the relationship between the output performance of PMSM and the number of the Halbach magnetic segments. The static magnetic simulation models of the Halbach with three to seven segments are established, and the spatial harmonic distribution of these magnetic arrays under the static magnetic field is analyzed. The simulation date indicates that the five-segment configuration has the best suppression effect on the 5th harmonic, and the seven-segment Halbach magnet array has the maximum fundamental amplitude of magnetic flux density. Then, the transient magnetic simulation models of these magnetic configuration are established by FEM, and the dynamic performance in PMSM is simulated and analyzed. By comparing the simulation data, it indicates that the electromagnetic output performance of five-segment magnetic configuration is the best. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

An improved auction algorithm named compensation auction algorithm (CAA) is proposed for the air-to-air confrontation problem in attack scenarios. First, in order to represent the conflict in assignment, a damage benefit function is established according to the guidance rules. Secondly, a multi-constraint dynamic model of multi-weapon attacking multi-target is created. Then, according to the traditional auction algorithm, a compensation mechanism is proposed and a compensation factor is introduced. Under the condition that the constraints are satisfied, the efficiency of algorithm convergence is accelerated. Finally, a simulation is carried out on the established scene by using CAA. The results show that the algorithm has an effective optimization in time consumption compared with the existing intelligent algorithms, which also meets the real-time requirements. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In this paper, we propose an algorithm that estimate 3D relative pose transformation based on range measurements between robots and pose estimates produced by VI-SLAM system. Specifically, we prove that 5 range measurements is needed at least to estimate 4 degrees-of-freedom relative pose transformation for nonsingular configurations. Additionally, a more efficient algebraic method is proposed to compute the unique solution which can be used as a good initial estimate for refinement process. Furthermore, we refine the initial estimate through iterative process to improve accuracy in the presence of noise. Finally, we validate the algorithm in simulation. The proposed algorithm based on range measurement is intended for use in collaborative SLAM system where map merging can be performed in more proactive manner, as contrast to the methods based on vision. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This paper presents a novel robust cooperative guidance law against high-maneuvering target based on state information obtained from networked distributed estimation. To attack the target accurately, a distributed state estimation algorithm is proposed by two steps: local filter and interaction fusion. During the interaction fusion step, the accurate state information of target can be obtained based on the local neighboring interactions. Then, the guidance law considering maneuvering target acceleration information is designed, which can be used to attack the maneuvering target accurately. Finally, a numerical simulation example for maneuvering target cooperative attack is given to validate the performance of the algorithm. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Electro-hydraulic servo control systems find widespread applications in aerospace, engineering machinery, and robotics, where they are integral to maintaining the performance and safety standards of aircraft. This study focuses on examining the dynamic stiffness properties of hydraulic motors in these systems and analyzes how different parameters affect dynamic stiffness. Dynamic stiffness describes an actuator's rigidity and response characteristics in motion control scenarios, reflecting the stability and performance of aircraft actuators under complex dynamic operational conditions more accurately than static stiffness. The study employs modular modeling to establish a mathematical model for dynamic stiffness, revealing that the servo valve inherent frequency, damping coefficient, pipeline volume, and hydraulic oil bulk modulus exhibit low sensitivity. Proportional gain, servo valve gain, and servo valve flow coefficient show consistent sensitivity curves, indicating a strong correlation. Conversely, the leakage coefficient and hydraulic motor displacement sensitivity negatively correlate with frequency, while hydraulic motor inertia, damping coefficient, and gearbox reduction ratio positively correlate with frequency. These insights enhance the understanding of parameter impacts, aiding in the design and optimization of high-power-to-weight ratio hydraulic systems for aerospace applications. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2024.

Next-generation aircraft will carry directed energy weapons to ensure air superiority and significantly enhance both defensive and offensive capabilities. However, these weapons face severe thermal management challenges. This paper contributes by finely analyzing the heating mechanisms of core components within directed energy weapons and proposes a thermal management solution based on pump-driven two-phase flow. The thermal flow of the chip array layout is modeled and analyzed. The cold plate structure is optimized for the best-balanced thermal resistance and pressure drop. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2024.
