Quantum process tomography is an experimental technique to fully characterize an unknown quantum process. Standard quantum process tomography suffers from exponentially scaling of the number of measurements with the increasing system size. In this work, we put forward a quantum machine learning algorithm which approximately encodes the unknown unitary quantum process into a relatively shallow depth parametric quantum circuit. We demonstrate our method by reconstructing the unitary quantum processes resulting from the quantum Hamiltonian evolution and random quantum circuits up to eight qubits. Results show that those quantum processes could be reconstructed with high fidelity, while the number of input states required are at least two orders of magnitude less than required by the standard quantum process tomography.

With the support of Beidou terminal of short message service system, the space science satellite can transmit all-day data that are astronomical alert data such as gravitational waves and Gamma ray bursts and satellite telemetry parameters. Then Beidou message service system has become an important means for finding the space astronomical events quickly, planning the follow-up observation and monitoring the real-time health of satellite and payloads. Then the application fields of the Beidou system has expanded into space science observation and satellite emergency operation. The short message data receiving and processing in ground system has many features of near real-time and continuity which is different from the processing methods of satellite data transmitted by data channel and telemetry channel. And the multi-source satellite data of the telemetry parameters and the astronomical alert information from these three channels need to be integrated. So, the real-time processing system of satellite data based on Beidou short message transmission has great challenges. In this paper, we explored an organization method of Beidou short messages, and proposed a multi-source data fusion algorithm for the ground satellite data processing system. The data processing system with this method was designed and implemented. Applying to the ground system of the satellite named gravitational wave high-energy electromagnetic counterpart all-sky monitor, the performance analysis of improved system shows that the processing delay for important telemetry parameters and astronomical alert information is greatly shortened from average nine hours to several minutes. Fault diagnosis in complex industrial processes has become a vital issue drawing the attention in the industrial field. With the increasing deployment of sensors in industrial process equipment, deep learning (DL) based approaches have become more feasible. However, most existing DL-based approaches have two main drawbacks. Firstly, there is complex coupling between variables in industrial processes. Most existing approaches have only one metric to build the network, which cannot fully explore the potential relationships between variables. Secondly, there are few studies on aggregating critical features of different variables and reducing the interference of irrelevant and redundant information. To overcome these challenges, this paper presents a new approach for industrial process troubleshooting, called the variational modal decomposition-multi-head graph pruning network (VMD-MHGPN). This approach draws inspiration from the attention mechanism and combines it with graph construction and pruning. Specifically, we use multiple attention mechanisms to learn the interactions between nodes. Previously, variational modal decomposition (VMD) is applied to extract fault features at different time scales and use them as subsequent graph nodes. To reduce the impact of irrelevant and redundant nodes on the fault feature representation, we introduce the graph pruning operation, which uses an attention mechanism to score nodes and discard relatively unimportant ones. The final representation of fault features is generated by computing the weights of different interaction graphs based on the attention mechanism and aggregating multiple interaction graphs according to the weights. The proposed approach for diagnosing faults in industrial processes proved efficient and superior based on experimental findings from a three-phase flow apparatus and a Tennessee Eastman process. © 2024, The Authors. Phthalate acid esters (PAEs), known food contaminants, can lead to reproductive problems, respiratory diseases, childhood obesity, and neuropsychological disorders. This work aims to develop an electrochemical aptamer sensor for the detection of DAP and its analogs. To achieve specific recognition ability for PAEs, We have introduced the thymidine-Hg2+-thymidine strategy for the first time in an electrochemical aptamer sensor, incorporating metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) as the carrier for the aptamer. Additionally, nanoamplification technology was applied by immobilizing MXene on the electrode to intensify the sensor's current signal. In the presence of PAEs, these molecules specifically bound to the aptamers, resulting in competitive release of Hg2+ and aptamers connected to Hg2+, subsequently reducing current signaling. Under optimal experimental conditions, the designed sensor achieved a linear range from 1.65×10-5 mg/mL to 3×10-2 mg/ml and an extremely low detection limit of 8.94×10-6 mg/mL. Furthermore, it exhibited good reliability and practicality in detecting actual samples. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, we consider the physical layer security (PLS) problem for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) systems in the presence of hybrid-colluding eavesdroppers, where an active eavesdropper (AE) and a passive eavesdropper (PE) collude to intercept the confidential information. To ensure the accuracy of sensing while preventing the eavesdropping, a base station transmits a signal consisting of information symbols and sensing waveform, in which the sensing waveform can be also used as artificial noise to interfere with eavesdroppers. Under this setup, we propose an alternating optimization-based two stage scheme (AO-TSS) for improving the sensing and communication performance. In the first stage, based on the assumptions that the perfect channel state information (CSI) of the AE and statistical CSI of the PE are known, the communication and sensing beamforming problem is formulated with the objective of minimizing the weighted sum of the beampattern matching mean squared error (MSE) and cross-correlation, subject to the secure transmission constraint. To tackle the non-convexity, we propose a semi-definite relaxation (SDR) algorithm and a reduced-complexity zero-forcing (ZF) algorithm. Then, the scenarios are further extended to more general cases with imperfect AE CSI and unknown PE CSI. To further improve the communication performance, the second-stage problem is developed to optimize the secrecy rate threshold under the radar performance constraint. Finally, numerical results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed scheme in terms of sensing and secure communication. © 2025, CC BY.

Angle-based SLAM on 5G mmWave Systems: Design, Implementation, and Measurement

Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) is a key technology that provides user equipment (UE) tracking and environment mapping services, enabling the deep integration of sensing and communication. The millimeter-wave (mmWave) communication, with its larger bandwidths and antenna arrays, inherently facilitates more accurate delay and angle measurements than sub-6 GHz communication, thereby providing opportunities for SLAM. However, none of the existing works have realized the SLAM function under the 5G New Radio (NR) standard due to specification and hardware constraints. In this study, we investigate how 5G mmWave communication systems can achieve situational awareness without changing the transceiver architecture and 5G NR standard. We implement 28 GHz mmWave transceivers that deploy OFDM-based 5G NR waveform with 160 MHz channel bandwidth, and we realize beam management following the 5G NR. Furthermore, we develop an efficient successive cancellation-based angle extraction approach to obtain angles of arrival and departure from the reference signal received power measurements. On the basis of angle measurements, we propose an angle-only SLAM algorithm to track UE and map features in the radio environment. Thorough experiments and ray tracing-based computer simulations verify that the proposed angle-based SLAM can achieve sub-meter level localization and mapping accuracy with a single base station and without the requirement of strict time synchronization. Our experiments also reveal many propagation properties critical to the success of SLAM in 5G mmWave communication systems. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, we propose a passive Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) radar multi-target positioning method based on DBSCAN (Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise). MIMO radar has received extensive attention and researches since it has been introduced. Applying MIMO radar theory to passive radar technology can combine the advantages of the two technologies and get better detection performance. In this paper, the multi-target data association algorithm is mainly used, and the time delay information measured by multiple receiving stations is converted into distance information and associated with the cost matrix. First, data preprocessing is performed by eliminating data in the cost matrix which is greater than the threshold. Then DBSCAN clustering algorithm is used to divide the data into clusters. Finally, different clusters are weighted and fused to obtain multi-target position estimates. Simulation results prove that the algorithm performs well. © 2020 ACM.

As one of the most widely abused designer benzodiazepines in the world, etizolam has been identified in many post-mortem and ante-mortem case reports across the world. In this study, for the first time, we used UPLC-Q-Exactive-MS to establish a dynamic change model of etizolam and its metabolites in rats. The detection sensitivity and reproducibility of the experiment improved significantly compared to those reported in previous studies, and the traditional pharmacokinetic model based on the Gauss function was fully optimized. According to the significant difference of etizolam in the plasma elimination stage of rats, a new pharmacokinetic model based on the Lorentz function was first established to describe the dynamic changes in etizolam more rigorously, reduce the error effects, and improve the accuracy of the pharmacokinetic parameters. In parallel, the pharmacokinetic parameters of etizolam were compared to those of four other designer benzodiazepines reported in previous studies in rats. We identified the direct reason for the popularity of etizolam in the new psychoactive substance (NPS) market and explored the development prospect of etizolam for the first time. Additionally, using rat experiments, we found 21 metabolites that can be used to effectively detect long-term etizolam abuse;among these, four metabolites with the longest detection window could be used as long-term metabolites for experiments to prolong the detection window and extend the time range in which etizolam is detected in real cases. To our knowledge, this study is the first to conduct a systematic and comprehensive evaluation of the metabolism and pharmacokinetics of etizolam and determine the reason for the high prevalence of etizolam abuse. Additionally, we discuss the development trend of etizolam in the future market of new psychoactive substances, which could be beneficial for forensic experts to assess the trend of drug abuse and can provide a reference for relevant drug control and

Locally repairable codes (LRCs), due to the local erasure-correcting property, have been widely used in distributed storage systems. In this paper, we construct cyclic (r, δ) LRCs ((r, δ) CLRCs) which are optimal according to the Singleton-like bound. The locality of the new CLRCs satisfies that r + δ − 1 = q+14 . This is different from those of CLRCs obtained by Qian and Zhang in 2020 which are r + δ − 1 = q + 1 and r + δ − 1 =q+12 . Then the parameters of our CLRCs are new. © 2021 IEEE.
