The generation and storage of spin squeezing is an attractive topic in quantum metrology and the foundation of quantum mechanics. The major models to realize the spin squeezing are the one- and two-axis twisting models. Here, we consider a collective spin system coupled to a bosonic field, and show that proper constant-value controls in this model can simulate the dynamical behavior of these two models. More interestingly, a better performance of squeezing can be obtained when the control is time varying, which is generated via a reinforcement learning algorithm. However, this advantage becomes limited if the collective noise is involved. To deal with this, we propose a four-step strategy for the construction of a type of combined controls, which include both constant-value and time-varying controls, but performed at different time intervals. Compared to the full time-varying controls, the combined controls not only give a comparable minimum value of the squeezing parameter over time, but also provide a better lifetime and larger full amount of squeezing. Moreover, the amplitude form of a combined control is simpler and more stable than the full time-varying control. Therefore, our scheme is very promising to be applied in practice to improve the generation and storage performance of squeezing.

We demonstrate a middle infrared ZnGeP_2 optical parametric oscillator pumped by the Q-switched Ho：GdVO_4 laser. When the incident Ho pump power is 4.12 W, the maximum average output power of the ZGP-OPO laser is 2.05 W, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 74.6%. The ZGP-OPO laser produces 4.2 ns mid-infrared pulses at a pulse repetition rate of 5 kHz. In addition, we obtain 0.8 um of tunable range for the signal wave and 2.1 um of tunable range for the idler wave.

Quantum process tomography (QPT) is the gold standard for fully characterizing quantum processes, yet it is resource intensive. In this work, we shift our focus from global to local quantum processes, which are beneficial for practical scenarios, such as distributed quantum computing and quantum networks. We term these local processes as reduced quantum processes and present a comprehensive theory to describe them. To experimentally characterize all k-reduced quantum processes of an n-qubit quantum process, we introduce our primary method, quantum process overlapping tomography (QPOT), and compare it with two alternative approaches: ancilla QPT and parallel QPT. Suppose the target quantum process involves T local interactions, each acting on li qubits, with the total number of affected qubits satisfying l:=∑i=1Tli≤n. The experimental configurations required for each method are as follows: QPOT requires 2l×eO(k)×log (n) experimental configurations. Ancilla QPT requires eO(k)×log (2n) experimental configurations but additionally demands n ancilla qubits and the preparation of maximally entangled states. Parallel QPT requires approximately ∑i=1nk2mi×12k experimental configurations, where mi denotes the number of qubits interacting with the ith reduced quantum process. Among these methods, QPOT exhibits superior efficiency and broader applicability. The efficacy of our methods is confirmed through experimental demonstrations conducted on IBM hardware, aligning well with our theory.

There is a certain amount of RF facilities on the low-altitude aircrafts that could cause electromagnetic interference within the platform, the electromagnetic interference between platforms is the key to influence the electromagnetic compatibility of aircraft platform. Specific systems have been developed to provide collision avoidance and early warning schemes for potential physical collisions between aircraft. With the increase in the number of ground and air vehicles and the radiation power of radio frequency equipment, the marine electromagnetic environment is deteriorating day by day. There is no effective solution to the electromagnetic "collision" among aircrafts that caused by electromagnetic interference, which is needed to be solved. This paper draws lessons from the idea that physical collision between aircrafts can be predicted and analyzed by using space trajectory model and avoided collision, then proposed aircraft navigation trajectory equation, the forecast analysis of the location of the vehicle at any time, heading, speed and acceleration information, using airborne electromagnetic emission equipment antenna model, calculated the sea low-flying aircraft airborne radio system of electromagnetic radiation, the use of the electronic equipment receiving antenna gain and receiver sensitivity, combined with the value of standard, the interference matrix which can describe the degree of electromagnetic radiation hazard between single machine and multiple machine is established. In this paper, the theoretical model of aircraft trajectory dynamics is seamlessly transformed into the electromagnetic collision field of low-altitude aircraft. Fuzzy testing and symbol execution are the main methods of vulnerability mining for binary programs. Among them, fuzzy testing is time-consuming due to randomness, while symbol execution is limited by path explosion due to traversal. At present, there is a certain research foundation about the mixed test of fuzzy test and symbol execution, but most of them focus on improving the code coverage and other indicators. There is no clear method for how to call each other in the hybrid test process of fuzzy test and symbol execution. In this paper, combined with the strong interpretability of decision tree algorithm, a hybrid test call strategy based on decision tree is proposed, which quantifies the factors that affect the efficiency of hybrid test, and clarifies the reasons for triggering call between fuzzy test and symbol execution, which is helpful to improve the efficiency of hybrid test.

Introduction Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) have shown great promise in fraud detection tasks on graph-structured data. However, they struggle with challenges such as label imbalance and the presence of heterophilic neighbours, which can obscure fraudulent behaviour by embedding fraudsters among benign users. Objectives Existing GNN-based models often address these issues by modifying the graph structure to favour homophily, frequently ignoring heterophilic neighbours during message passing. This approach weakens their capacity to detect fraud in real-world graphs. Addressing this gap is crucial to enhance the effectiveness of fraud detection in large-scale graph. Methods This study proposes Attention-Augmented and Depthwise Separable Convolutional Message Passing (ADSCMP), a novel GNN framework. ADSCMP actively partitions neighbours into homophilic, heterophilic, and unknown groups during message passing. It integrates lightweight attention mechanisms to highlight critical nodes and employ depthwise separable convolutions to reduce computational overhead. Furthermore, this study dynamically generates root-specific weight matrices and incorporate both spectral and spatial features to better handle complex graph topologies. Results This study evaluated ADSCMP on four benchmark datasets Amazon, YelpChi, T-Finance, and T-Social. In supervised experiments (40 % labelled data), ADSCMP achieved AUC scores of 97.91 %, 94.17 %, 97.51 %, and 99.75 %, respectively. Even with only 1 % labelled data in semi-supervised settings, the model maintained strong performance with AUCs of 93.15 %, 84.53 %, 94.92 %, and 98.59 %. Our ablation study confirmed that each model component contributed meaningfully to its overall performance. Additionally, ADSCMP reduced inference time compared to competitive baselines, making it suitable for real-time fraud detection. Simultaneously transmitting/refracting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surface (STAR-RIS) has been introduced to achieve full coverage area. This paper investigate the performance of STAR-RIS assisted non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks over Rician fading channels, where the incidence signals sent by base station are reflected and transmitted to the nearby user and distant user, respectively. To evaluate the performance of STAR-RIS-NOMA networks, we derive new approximate expressions of outage probability and ergodic rate for a pair of users, in which the imperfect successive interference cancellation (ipSIC) and perfect SIC (pSIC) schemes are taken into consideration. Based on the asymptotic expressions, the diversity orders of the nearby user with ipSIC/pSIC and distant user are achieved carefully. The high signal-to-noise ratio slopes of ergodic rates for nearby user with pSIC and distant user are equal to one and zero, respectively. In addition, the system throughput of STAR-RIS-NOMA is discussed in delay-limited and delay-tolerant modes. Simulation results are provided to verify the accuracy of the theoretical analyses and demonstrate that: 1) The outage probability of STAR-RIS-NOMA outperforms that of STAR-RIS assisted orthogonal multiple access (OMA) and conventional cooperative communication systems;2) With the increasing of reflecting elements K and Rician factor κ, the STAR-RIS-NOMA networks are capable of attaining the enhanced performance;and 3) The ergodic rates of STAR-RIS-NOMA are superior to that of STAR-RIS-OMA. Composition harmony mainly refers to the various components of the image that are sensed together as a harmonious and unified organism, it plays a key role in the assessment of image aesthetic quality. In this paper, a composition harmony assessment method based on the rule of thirds was proposed. The eye-tracking dataset was used to extract the saliency regions of the image and the composition harmony assessment method was designed by computing how close the centroid of the largest saliency region and the rule of thirds. Moreover, the effectiveness of the assessment method was analyzed by the subjective evaluation experiment results of the composition harmony. The experimental results showed that the composition harmony assessment method proposed in this paper is effective.

Color harmony is an important factor affecting the aesthetic feeling of images and plays an important role in visual perception. It can evaluate the feasibility of images by constructing the computational model of human aesthetic thinking. In this paper, a color harmony evaluation method based on color complexity was implemented. Given the classical color harmony model which is suitable for the simple color combination but not suitable for the complex image, and the local feature redundancy caused by grid sampling, an adaptive sampling based on CCM(color complexity measure) was implemented. Then, K-means was adopted to extract local color harmony features. Finally, a model was constructed between local color harmony features and the overall color harmony by SVM. The results show that the method implemented in this paper can represent the color harmony of complex images accurately and effectively.

Advanced geometry surface coding for dynamic point cloud compression

In video-based dynamic point cloud compression (V-PCC), 3D point clouds are projected onto 2D images for compressing with the existing video codecs. However, the existing video codecs are originally designed for natural visual signals, and it fails to account for the characteristics of point clouds. Thus, there are still problems in the compression of geometry information generated from the point clouds. Firstly, the distortion model in the existing rate-distortion optimization (RDO) is not consistent with the geometry quality assessment metrics. Secondly, the prediction methods in video codecs fail to account for the fact that the highest depth values of a far layer is greater than or equal to the corresponding lowest depth values of a near layer. This paper proposes an advanced geometry surface coding (AGSC) method for dynamic point clouds (DPC) compression. The proposed method consists of two modules, including an error projection model-based (EPM-based) RDO and an occupancy map-based (OM-based) merge prediction. Firstly, the EPM model is proposed to describe the relationship between the distortion model in the existing video codec and the geometry quality metric. Secondly, the EPM-based RDO method is presented to project the existing distortion model on the plane normal and is simplified to estimate the average normal vectors of coding units (CUs). Finally, we propose the OM-based merge prediction approach, in which the prediction pixels of merge modes are refined based on the occupancy map. Experiments tested on the standard point clouds show that the proposed method achieves an average 9.84% bitrate saving for geometry compression. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.
